"Tsk!" seeing Julian, Gil reluctantly let go of me with a click of his tongue.
"You filthy adventurer, what do you think you're doing to my prey?"

"You... as I thought, you're going for her too," Gil replied, not backing out from the intimidation Julian was showing.
There was clear hatred in their stares. Sparks flew between them as they eyed each other.
Thi-this is! This scene is something I thought would only exist in a shoujo manga! Two hotties fighting for the main character!
It's a sight to see it in person, but knowing that I was their target was embarrassing.
"Are you hurt?"
"Huh? No..." I replied, trying to rub off the pain on my wrist.
"I'm... I'm sorry..." seemingly realizing what he has done, Gil apologizes.
"Tsk! This is why I hate adventurers... they gain a little fame and they think they can steal anything they want."
"I'm not stealing anything. She's not yours."
"It's only a matter of time."
Why are they treating me like I was an object? These two are the worst...
"Go back to your stinking place, hero-wannabe."
"Grr..." Gil growled, wanting to spit something back.
"I can slice you to pieces right here right now and satisfy my anger, but that would be uncouth. If I were you, I'd go away before I piss myself off even more," the malice on Julian's voice was genuine.
Both Julian and Gil are revered as heroes in the city. But while Julian was looked up on because of his strength, Gil only became popular because of his charisma. If the two of them were to fight right now, Julian will win one-sidedly.
But are they really that serious to actually start a fight...? From the looks of their eyes, they were...
However, before an actual fight started, Gil backed off and arrogantly shrugged his shoulders.
"Guh... I'll go now," then he turned around and said, "Eria-san... please consider my offer."
"O... Okay..." I can barely reply.
With one last deathly glance at Julian, Gil finally left.
"I thought I told you, you should stop associating yourself with that person." Julian scolded.
Right, he did say that before. But it's not like I'm going to follow anything he asks me to do.
"I didn't expect anything like that to happen."
"You can easily break his hold on you if you tried. Why did you allow him to do that?"
"Mrrh..."
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Julian raised a brow and asked.
"It's nothing..."
"It's unusual for you to stay quiet like this. You really didn't get hurt, do you?"
"No, I'm just tired. I'll be going inside my room now. You should go back home too."
"Huh...? But I just got here!"
"I don't care."
Not looking back and ignoring Julian's complaints, I went inside my room.
Sitting on the bed, I rub the wrist Gil hurt again. In the silence, I tried to make sense of what just happened.
That was dangerous...
It wasn't dangerous because he hurt me, it was dangerous because of how I reacted. How my body reacted to that sensation...
