Chapter 42: Everything is fine!!!

I hold my head as I was drowned in thought, I couldn't believe I forgot everything that happened in my past, all because I was turned into a spider! I finished drinking some more custom xp bottles, I probably shouldn't take too much of them, it would be best to save them in case Takeo found more monsters in need.

One thing I noticed recently was the fact that after mutating back to a demi-monster, most xp I took didn't really give me any progress of becoming a full human again, I got my memories back sure, but I still had these spider legs on my back, a constant reminder that I was still a monster on the inside. I'm starting to worry, was this look practically a cap for how far a demi-monster could revert? Teles was still part Enderman, and she's been here longer than I have, so why hasn't she become human again?

The current circumstances I am experiencing are not entirely unfavorable. I probably shouldn't jump to conclusions here, I mean my current state isn't THAT bad! I can easily trick the villagers into thinking that I was human by tucking away the legs on my back. Spider mobs never really had any critical weaknesses, I can even make outfits a lot easier by producing webs for string, this situation I'm in isn't all that bad, but there's one thing that changed about me that I will always hate!

It seems like every night I go into a frenzy as if I have an urge to dispose of whatever is around me, and worse of all I can't even remember ANY of it once it hits daytime! It's as if I had a second side to myself, a side I can't control no matter what when night falls, this reason and this reason alone is why I wish to become a full human again so that this "Second side" people keep telling me about, would just disappear for good! Until then I need to keep myself isolated before nightfall so my new friends won't see me like this...

POV: Takeo

These new abilities I've learned have been pretty useful lately, I spent the past few days just wandering in the forest and trying it out whatever I could.

So far I picked up some oak logs, I held one in my hand, and as my eyes started to glow green I gained a receptive thought, as if I learned almost everything you craft using wood. I then summoned a glowing green book that spawned in front of my face, I know I'm missing a few recipes here, but it's crazy how many I received by just scanning a chunk of wood! Now of course I already knew what you can craft with wood to begin with (Otherwise I would've died on my first night here)

I despawned the book, it disappeared so I can look around freely, I can't really see that well with a glowing book in front of my eyes. I wanted to try other materials, so I also tried to use this ability on some dirt I dug up, AND.... nothing... nothing really happened when I activated the ability, I guess this only works on things that can be crafted or deconstructed, makes sense because I don't think you can really craft anything with dirt Minecraft.

Alright, time to go over my notes of what I can do so far.

1. I can take armor or weapons away from others and put them into my inventory, of course, this won't work if said target is strong enough to resist my disarm ability, if I want to take their items, I have to weaken them first, THEN I can take it from them.

2. I have some type of built-in recipe book that gives me the ability to learn some of the different types of items I can craft using materials, this is pretty useful in case I forget how to craft something important, I can't really look up how to craft things online anymore now, can I? This ability also works on non-Minecraft related items, for instance, I was able to use it on my phone, and my prescription pills, nothing saying that getting the materials necessary to craft them is an easy process though!

3. I have the abilities of in-game Minecraft characters (though you obviously knew I could do that from the start!) Many humans who live in this world can't do some of the things I can, for instance, they could build and do all the basics, but they aren't all they good at it as I or additional otherworlders, the inhabitants of this world could still do it though, it just takes longer.

I was engrossed in my research for several hours, only to realize that the sun was setting when I finally looked up at the sky. Time really does fly when you're busy! Anyway, it's time for me to head back home now. I'm excited to share with everyone what I've discovered about these newfound abilities!

As I make my way back through the village gates just before nightfall, I heave a sigh of relief and head toward my base. I can't help but wonder how everyone else fared today.

POV: Teles

As Sylvie finished telling me her abbreviated version of what previously happened in her life, and what happened with the other spiders, I practically froze up a little on the couch! I was not expecting all of THAT to have happened, I never knew THAT'S how spiders came to be, well mainly because I spent so much of my life trapped in the end dimension. That wasn't the only thought that came to mind, as I hold the weight of my chin on my fist I couldn't help but think about who this "Collector" personal was. Judging from Sylvie's description, it kinda sounded like he was an enderman, but with those red eyes, and those powers of his, I'm even MORE confused on the matter!

Knowing Brian is still probably out there, and now I've learned about another entity who seems to have omnipotent abilities causes me to worry about what other insane monsters there are out there!

I should focus on what's ahead of me. Sylvie seems uneasy after remembering what happened in her village, and I know it must have taken her a lot of courage to confide in me.

"Listen, Sylvie" I started as she looked up toward me, "I won't simply say 'I know how you feel' because that won't really make you feel any better, but we're going to get through this!"

"yeah... I guess your right..."

"There is no fixing what happened to both of us, no, to all the demi-monsters that live in this world, but we were still saved, we finally found someone who would take us in despite our circumstances!"

I noticed Silvia starting to cheer up a little "Of course! I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't met Takeo, I want to help him in his goal to save the demi-monsters too!"

"I agree, I'm not sure if my group is still alive or not, but I still want to save them, save everyone! And Takeo is the key to doing that, he's the reason I'm even still going!"

"yeah... I've never been happier until I moved here, I just hope this happiness lasts this time..."

"Of course Sylvie, me too!" I said with a grin

We both became lost in conversation and laughed for hours, I wasn't sure how to feel about Silvia when we first met, but I'm glad I didn't keep that feeling, I couldn't have asked for a nicer roommate, and now I wished she moved in sooner!

While talking, Silvia looked out the window in the living room, noticing the sun setting, she started to become pale, and rather uneasy.

"Umm, are you okay?" I asked nervously

"O-oh yes, I just never noticed the time, I-I need to go!"

I began to feel confused, this wasn't the first time Silvia was acting weird before nightfall, I spent most of my life in the end, so I might not completely understand spiders, However, I never had the opportunity to fully comprehend the reason behind it.

I'd better let her stay in her comfort zone though, if it makes her feel better, I'll let her be.

"Oh, Alright then-"

I was interrupted when someone came running through the main entrance, it was Takeo, and it seemed like he had something important to say.

"Hey guys, I think I figured it out!" he exclaimed,

"what is it?" Silvia asked

"This book power thing I acquired a while back, it acts like some kind of crafting encyclopedia, Watch!"

Takeo then focused on something, his eyes started to glow green, and in an instance, a green transparent book appeared in front of him.

"Woah!" I remarked

"Check it out, it instantly jotted down crafting recipes I can make as long as I have the right materials for it," he explained as he showed me the book.

I started to squint my eyes "Umm, I don't see anything, it's just a blank book..."

"Oh, I guess this is just a personal ability then..."

Takeo then turned to Silvia, he noticed she was looking discomforted

"Umm, you okay?"

"N-no, I really need to go!" Silvia responded

"Go ahead then, I ain't keeping ya"

Silvia then jumped up from the couch and started to run for her room, but as she was exiting the living room she collapsed on the floor, surprised we both rushed over to her location.

"What's wrong what happened!?!?" I shouted

"I-I don't know!" Takeo tried feeling a pulse then said "I crafted some healing items in my room, I'll go find them real quick, stay here with Silvia!"

I nodded as he left for his room.

Before Takeo got back I noticed something else happening with Silvia, her spider legs started to unfold for some reason, and using the legs, slowly lifted herself back to her feet.

"A-are you okay?" I asked a bit shaken

"Never better," Silvia said in a slow and creepy way (Something seems off about her...)

She turned her head in my direction, I noticed her eyes were glowing red!

"It's about time I finally met you in person!"

"Wha? What do you mean, you always knew us!"

Yep, something was definitely wrong!!!
