Chapter 3: Building bases and trust part 1

⛏⛏⛏

Morning hit, and the monsters outside were burning to death once they were exposed to daylight.

I got out of my hiding spot, drank water from the nearby river, and started to journey to a village, I don't care how long it takes, I don't want to repeat what happened last night!

⛏⛏⛏

Many hours pass, and I was losing time as I noticed the sun starting to move more and more, it would probably set any time soon!

I noticed a small hill nearby, I should probably get a better view of my surroundings by climbing it!

When I climbed up a small mountain, I gazed upon my surroundings, I also noticed something in the far distance, buildings, and lots of them!

'OH DANG! A VILLAGE FINALLY!!!!'

This didn't look like any ordinary village, it was huge! It was practically a city! If there were any place to go, then that would be good!

From here it looked great. There are tall buildings, but at the same time, small traditional houses as well.

There seemed to be businesses, and very... unique builds as well, I guess some people can build their houses however they want as long as it's on a plot of land. This place kinda reminds me of this city I visited on a business trip, What was it called again? Oh yeah, it was like Atlantic City except the terrain is more mountainous instead of being around an ocean.

I stopped admiring the city and climbed down the small mountain. The sky was about to get dark, and it was almost nighttime.

I decided I could make it there in time if I booked it, and I started sprinting in the direction of the village through the forest, I don't feel like suffocating in the ground again!

As I continued to sprint for my life, a few ruminative thoughts spread in my head, as I said earlier I wasn't much of a talker.

I was terrible with conversations and whatnot, could I really talk my way into living in this community? Looks like I gotta go out of my comfort zone while I'm stuck in this place!

While running something flew past my head, huh?

I looked around, and I realized I was too late, monsters have already started to spawn, and the next thing I knew skeletons were shooting arrows at me.

Just like the pigs I saw, the monsters didn't look blocky either. The skeletons looked like skeletons in real life, except ya know, they wielded bows. Zombies and spiders started to approach me I knew I had no other choice but to fight my way through this.

I grabbed my wooden sword and parried the spider that lunged at me, knocking it down and stabbing it before it got back up, it died, but it didn't poof out of existence like they normally do, it just became a corpse.

I then used a zombie as a human shield when one of the skeletons shot at me, causing a monster fight to spark between the two monsters, 2 fewer things I had to fight.

A Mutant green freak with no arms and 4 claw legs was approaching me, despite how terrifying it looked, I knew that it was probably a CREEPER!

Creeper's main way of attacking is to explode, taking themselves out with you, they were dangerous to take out with just swords, but I had a strategy.

I was able to use a run-back strategy to defeat the creeper that was approaching me, by charging at it, then running back before it could detonate.

The creeper encounters I faced either ended up with me killing it with my sword, or it exploding once I got to a safe enough distance.

Alas despite me trying to get more mobs killed with the creepers, there were still a ton coming in my direction.

I noticed some zombies coming behind me, and I killed them with some powerful sweeping swings of my sword.

Unfortunately, I realized that wooden swords had one of the worst item durabilities for tools, so of course, my wooden sword HAD to break when I swung at my next target.

You're probably thinking 'Oh no Takeo is defenseless now' but I ACTUALLY HAVE COMMON SENSE and crafted a second wooden sword a while back, so now I can continue fighting.

However, the skeleton's aim was just as good as in the game, and it shot me in the back with an arrow, I could feel blood dripping down my back.

I guess damage in this world works differently in the game Minecraft. So I assume I can't just insta-heal by eating those pork chops I got earlier, no other choice but to run now.

Also was it just me or did some of those monsters look a little more human than usual? Eh, whatever my main focus right now was to survive.

I saw slender figures around stalking me by the trees, I figured they were enderman. I always hated enderman they scared the crap out of me whenever they attacked me when I played Minecraft.

Luckily I should be fine as long as I don't look at them, or attack them, which was good in my case because I was too busy with the hostile monsters that would attack me either way, but I'm still confused as to why they just keep watching me instead of doing their own thing!

This situation is getting dicey, I'm still outnumbered no matter how many I fight. I tried to run, but I was surrounded, and I couldn't just build up either the skeletons would just shoot me off my platforms anyway.

There was an old motto I learned in the game a long time ago that my friends in a PVP server told me, it was. "If you're going down, go down fighting" so I continued to fight knowing that I will take down these mobs with me if I die, wooden sword in hand, I went all out.

Parrying side dodges, grinding those skeletons, using sweeping attackers on swarm hoards of zombies, fighting till I can't anymore, those zombie claws scratched through my skin, spiders biting my bones, kicking detonating creepers at approaching monsters I still fought back despite the pain spreading through my body, or until I dropped dead.

Alas, there were still too many of them and I was practically beaten half to death by the hoards of mobs.

"so this is how I'm going out huh? I was so close..." I said to myself

I was losing consciousness, this was probably in the end, but in the faint, I could hear someone shouting "Over there!!!"

I thought it was Stephen, but I blacked out before I saw who it really was as all the monsters changed their target directly to the new threats.
