Chapter 2: The Grumpy Guild Master
[Klee POV]
After deciding on joining Eren and her crew, the four of us venture through the forest area that they called the Jura Forest.
They told me that this place were crawling with so many monsters and due to the Storm Dragon's sudden disappearance, these said monsters were starting to get riled up.
"Hey Klee, can you tell us more about yourself?"
While walking through the woods, Eren suddenly asked me a question. Normally I would answer someone honestly but I don't think telling them that I came from a different world would be a good idea, so I will come up with a lie instead.
"To be honest, I can't remember much"
"Huh?! What do you mean?"
Eren and the others were surprised when I responded to the answer and they stop walking just to face me and ask more questions.
"Wait, so that mean you lost your memories, Klee!?"
"Y-yes, I only remember my name and skills, but the rest of my memories were gone"
I created myself a fake amnesia story to cover up my true identity. However, it seems to work a bit too well because the three of them were starting to tear up and they all embraced me tightly.
"Waah~ To think that little Klee would lose her memories in a place like this, it's so tragic"
"You're right. It's quite sad that she has no recollection of her past"
"Don't worry, Klee. We will take care of you from now on"
Eren and the others told me their sympathy towards me and my so-called amnesia. Usually, I would feel bad for lying to them but for the sake in keeping my true identity hidden, I shouldn't be.
After a while, the three of them finally calmed down and we continued our journey through the forest for several days until we eventually reach the kingdom called Blumund.

"Woah~ This place is amazing~"
Once we entered the town, I was quite amazed by the stoney architecture and medieval design of the buildings, which reminds me of Mondstadt in some ways or another.
"Hey Klee, come over here"
While I was admiring the beauty of the city, Eren calls out to my name and prompted me to come with them towards a large building where many people entering and leaving the doorway.
"What is this place, miss Eren?" I curiously asked while I followed them inside the building.
"This is the adventurer guild, Klee. It's where adventurers do different quests and expeditions"
Adventurer guild, huh. This looks like a fun place to be in. I wonder if they accept underage children like me to become an adventurer here. Besides, I might get some more information about the world I got transported into if I join.
"Hey miss Eren, is it possible for me to be an adventurer?" I inquired, wanting to know if there's no age restriction to become one.
The question I asked causes Eren, Kaval and Gido to turn around and begins to ponder while staring at me. The three of them stayed like this for a while before giving me an answer.
"Of course, it is possible. However, there is one slight problem"
"What is it?"
"Well, it's because of the guild master...."
"Oh? Tell me more about it"
Eren and the other two grimace when I asked that question but they reluctantly explains to me about the guild master and told me everything I need to know about adventurers.
It turns out the three of them were adventurers and a person by the name of Fuze was their guild master who according to them, was very strict and likes to boss them around.
"The guild master was the most annoying person to talk to"
"Yeah, not only he gives us difficult jobs, he also doesn't let rest for a while"
"Honestly, that old geezer was getting on our nerves"
While the three were complaining about the guild master, I noticed a man was standing behind them. He raises his hand in the air and then....
*Bonk* *Bonk* *Bonk*
"If you three idiots were just here to keep bothering this innocent child, then I assume you're done with the task I gave you, correct?"
The man gave Eren and her party three individual knock on the head while reprimanding them for their silly complaints.
"Hey! What the heck was that for?!"
"Yeah, that hurts like hell!"
"This is physical abuse! We'll sue you for this!"
The three protested against the man who bonk them but he just glared at their direction and they immediately stopped talking. How scary.
After that, the man turns his attention to me and scrutinized my appearance. Once he was done analyzing, he bowed his head towards me and spoke.
"I apologize for these idiots' behavior, little girl. I hope they weren't troubling you too much"
Surprisingly, the man politely apologizes to me. It was unexpected change of demeanor to say at least.
Perhaps, it is because he just saw me as a little child, which is why he was acting nice. Oh well, I guess I have to play along.
"It's okay, mister. They're just trying to help me to become an adventurer"
"Oh? Is that so? Well, I can help you with that"
"Really?!"
"Of course. However, I have some important business with these three idiots first"
The man explains to me his intention to me, which is quite understandable. So, it is reasonable to trust him and comply to his words.
"I understand, mister"
"Very good. Also, my name is Fuze and I am the guild master here. May I ask your name, little girl?"
"My name is Klee. Nice to meet you, mister Fuze~"
I cheerfully introduce myself, which not only charms the guild master but also some people who happens to be watching us.
'Crap, I think I overdid it'
"A-anyway, just stay put here, Klee. We will be right back"
"Okay~"
I cheerfully complied to the man's instruction to wait in the main lobby. Then he turns around and walks away from me.
"Good. Now come on, you three. Let's get this over with"
"""Yes sir"""
Fuze prompted Eren, Kaval and Gido to follow him somewhere while I was left in the main lobby on my own. I guess I have no choice but to play the waiting game then.

"Well, isn't this a bit boring...."

[Third POV]
While Klee was waiting in the main lobby, Fuze along with the three adventurers enter a room where they can discuss important matter.
"Now sit down, you three. I want to hear the result of the task so far"
Fuze prompted them to sit on the sofa that is opposite to his and the three reluctantly complied to his command.
"You know, you could at least be nice to us just like what you did to Klee over there"
"Kaval is right, we work our asses so bad. A little bit of recognition will be appreciated"
"I want a bath right now"
The three adventurers enviously complained to Fuze about differences of demeanor towards them and Klee. This annoys Fuze and he glared at them for not being straight to the point, causing the three adventurers to flinch.
"Ah, I mean... *ahem* We successfully went to the sealed cave of the Jura Forest and ventured to the place where the Storm Dragon was located" Kaval reported the result of their expedition, in which Fuze nodded understandingly.
"And how the dragon itself? What's the status?"
"It's empty sir"
"Empty?"
"Yes sir, there nothing in there"
"Is that so, I suppose the information about the Storm Dragon's disappearance was true after all"
Fuze contemplates on the information that was presented to him. He seems to be troubled about the potential threats will occur in the future due to the dragon's absence.
He then looks at the three adventurers and ponders on what he could do with them. After a short while, he decided on the next task we will give to them.
"Alright, you three can...."
*Creak*
However, before Fuze could finish his sentence, the door suddenly opens and surprisingly, Klee entered the room without any warning.
"What are you doing here, Klee? I told you to stay put" Fuze asked the little elf girl who nonchalantly walks toward the three adventurers.
"I got bored out there, so I left and went searching for these guys" Klee responds to Fuze's question while trying to climb on the sofa and sit on Eren's lap.
This causes the people in the room to be confuse of the little elf's action. They weren't expecting for her to find the room they were in and it was clear for Fuze that she's quite attached to the three adventurers.
"Tell me, Klee. Do you know who these three are?"
"Yup~"
Fuze was a bit puzzled by Klee's response, so he turn his attention to the three adventurers to confirm the elf child's answer.
"Is this true, you three?" Fuze inquires information from the three adventurers, in which they all nodded positively.
"Yes sir, we meet her on the way back from our mission"
"Kaval's right, Klee just showed up in the forest with no memories"
"And she even saved us from the ant monsters"
The three adventurers all responded to Fuze's question, causing the guild master to be skeptical of the information that was given to him.
He doesn't believe a random elf child could possibly defeat a monster from the Jura Forest, let alone without any memories.
"How does Klee save you three exactly?"
Fuze then tried inquiring for more information from the three adventurers regarding Klee in order to gain a better understanding of her capabilites.
"She uses explosive magic"
"Huh...?"
"Yeah, she creates small round balls that explodes in impact"
"Huh?!"
"Those balls even blew all of the monster's heads off"
"HUH?!"
Fuze was utterly shocked to hear what the three adventurers told him. He then looks at Klee who was innocently sitting on Eren's lap while minding her own business.
'How could this be possible? A small elf child capable of casting dangerous magic? How unbelievable, there's no way something like this could be true. Unless...'
After contemplating on his thought, Fuze have decided on a way to confirm the information. So, he stood up from his seat and went towards the door before speaking to Klee.
"Klee, can you come with me?"
"Where are we going, mister Fuze?"
"We're going to test your abilities through trials"
