Chapter 27: Unintelligent Goddess and Training Camps.

"Thank you very much for the information, Uncle Jiang," Fang Xue responded after hearing Hu Jiang's information.

"No problem. In addition to introducing you to the Elders, I also wanted to talk about the Tournament of Clouds, a small tournament that will take place in 6 months, and all the young talents of Cloud City will participate. Maybe you are interested," Hu Jiang said, smiling slightly, as he was sure Fang Xue would participate.

Raising an eyebrow, Fang Xue was genuinely interested in this Tournament but wanted to know if there would be any rewards.

"Does this Tournament have any kind of awards?" Fang Xue asked directly, as she was a straightforward person.

"Since Niece Xue is so straightforward, I won't stall. Yes, there will be an award, but that's all I'll say," Hu Jiang replied with a mysterious smile.

"Then I would be interested in participating, but I want to know more about where I could train," Fang Xue said, expressing her concern about having a good training environment, aside from resources.

"Niece Xue, you don't need to worry about something so simple. Little Wen will take you to the Hu Family's training camps," Hu Jiang assured her and stood up from his seat, signaling for the Elders to follow him.

"I'll take my leave now. I have some matters to attend to," Hu Jiang said, leaving those words and departing with the Elders.

With Hu Jiang and the Elders gone, Hu Wen, Fang Xue, and Li Qiang returned to eating in silence until Hu Wen abruptly turned to Fang Xue.

"Big Sister, what do you think of Big Brother Gu?" Hu Wen asked, causing Fang Xue to choke on her food at this unexpected question.

"Cough, Gu Ning? He's just a person you can't trust," Fang Xue replied coldly and mercilessly, shocking Hu Wen.

"Why does Elder Sister think that?" Hu Wen asked somewhat incredulously, as Gu Ning gave off the impression of a gentle knight.

"You wouldn't understand," Fang Xue shook her head and went back to eating, not wanting to discuss the matter further.

Hu Wen pouted at Fang Xue's response and also resumed eating.

'Why did you do that?' Li Qiang curiously asked Fang Xue through their connection.

"It's simple. By giving a vague answer and not explaining further, Hu Wen herself will start looking for Gu Ning's faults. As the saying goes, 'Who seeks, finds.' The same principle applies here. Hu Wen will believe what she discovers," Fang Xue calmly explained her reasoning for the answer.

Li Qiang let out a surprised response, "Holy cow, those few words carry a lot of meaning."

"Even though you are a goddess, you don't have such deep and intriguing thoughts," Fang Xue replied somewhat strangely, gently looking at Li Qiang, as if she were observing a not-too-intelligent child.

Li Qiang, noticing Fang Xue's gaze, snorted and puffed out her cheeks in rage, but as a bunny, it only resulted in a funny and cute scene.

Li Qiang truly wasn't the most brilliant mind when it came to profound plans. After all, she always relied on sheer brute strength to overcome obstacles.

Seeing Li Qiang's angry expression, Fang Xue let out a light laugh, causing another snort of anger from Li Qiang.

"I'm just kidding. I'll explain it to you better. I can't just accuse Gu Ning of something, but Hu Wen herself has to find fault with Gu Ning. With my words, I planted a seed of curiosity about Gu Ning in her heart," Fang Xue patiently explained the reason behind her answer to Hu Wen.

Li Qiang simply responded with an "Okay" and went back to eating in silence, still a bit angry.

Fang Xue didn't pay much attention to it and waited for Li Qiang and Hu Wen to finish eating.

After a few minutes, Fang Xue noticed that the two had finished eating.

"Little Wen, could you take me to the training camps? I want to start training now," Fang Xue asked Hu Wen, who simply nodded.

Hu Wen was still thinking about Fang Xue's words. Although she had only seen Gu Ning once, he left the impression of a hero, just like the characters in stories: handsome, brave, virtuous, and strong.

----------------------------------------------

Fang Xue now stood in front of a massive mountain, located a few minutes' walk from her courtyard.

"Is this where the training site is?" Fang Xue asked, feeling a bit puzzled, as all she could see was a vast mountain.

"Yes, it's inside that mountain," Hu Wen replied, walking towards a part of the mountain as if it didn't exist.

Fang Xue was amazed by this sight. When she thought Hu Wen was going to collide head-on with the mountain, she simply passed through it.

'Truly a wonderful and mysterious world,' Fang Xue thought as she witnessed this scene. She then followed Hu Wen's lead and crossed the mountain as if it didn't exist.

After crossing the mountain, Fang Xue found herself in a new environment—a large space with different areas. Some were open and visible from the outside, while others were pagodas whose purpose she couldn't discern.

"Come, I'll explain everything to you," Fang Xue heard Hu Wen's voice coming from her left side.

Nodding her head, Fang Xue saw Hu Wen walk into an open space where several youths of different ages and cultivation levels were engaged in combat.

"This is the sparring field. Here, you can spar with others and gain more experience by fighting different people," Hu Wen said, pointing to the youths engaged in combat.

"That's good. I still lack a lot of fighting experience," Fang Xue thought, nodding in agreement.

Hu Wen then led her to another open field, where fewer people were present, and those who were there had sweat on their faces.

"This is also a sparring field, but here, stronger gravity is applied. Those who fight here experience the pressure of gravity," Hu Wen explained, pointing to two young men who were fighting, their movements slow as each punch required considerable effort.

Fang Xue marveled at this sparring field. In addition to gaining combat experience, it provided an opportunity to temper the body.

Hu Wen continued walking and directed Fang Xue's attention to a three-story pagoda.

"This pagoda contains an illusory matrix. Once you enter, you will be transported to different environments where you will face human cultivators, demonic beasts, and even demons. However, everything is an illusion, although the pain you feel is real," Hu Wen explained.

"The first floor is intended for Body Training Level cultivators, the second floor for Qi Sense Realm cultivators, and the top floor for Opening Meridian cultivators," she added with pride in her voice, as the pagoda was discovered by her ancestor in the past.

Fang Xue looked at the pagoda with burning passion. While sparring provided combat experience, it lacked the intensity of real-life battles where one could fight to kill. This pagoda offered a magnificent opportunity, and as for the pain, Fang Xue had no fear.

"It seems like you liked it, but be careful. Dying in there doesn't mean real death, but it's still not a pleasant experience," Hu Wen warned. Some geniuses in the past were traumatized after dying in the illusion, although she had never experienced it herself.

Fang Xue nodded, not paying much attention to the warning. After all, she had already died twice, so death didn't scare her.

After acknowledging Fang Xue's response, Hu Wen led her to the second-to-last building—a three-story structure that resembled a library.

"These are some miscellaneous books of our Hu Family. The first floor contains topics like history and geography. The second floor contains Martial Arts techniques aimed at Body Training cultivators, and the third floor holds Martial Skills for Qi Sense Realm cultivators," Hu Wen briefly explained. The true library of the Hu Family was hidden elsewhere and heavily guarded.

Fang Xue nodded, showing some interest, as she had very little knowledge about these subjects.

Hu Wen then guided her towards the final and most important building—a nine-story pagoda.

"Now it gets a little more interesting," Li Qiang finally spoke up after remaining silent for a while.

"What do you mean?" Fang Xue asked, intrigued by the significance of this pagoda.

"Let that little girl explain," Li Qiang replied mysteriously.

As Hu Wen and Fang Xue stood before the pagoda, Hu Wen's expression turned solemn.

"Besides our Room of Treasures and Martial Library, this is the most important thing we have," Hu Wen said gravely, further piquing Fang Xue's curiosity.

"What do you mean?" Fang Xue asked, eager to understand the special nature of this pagoda.

"This pagoda was built atop a spiritual vein. The Spiritual Energy, or Qi, here is many times greater than anywhere else. Each floor of this pagoda contains eleven rooms, and the lower the room, the closer it is to the spiritual vein. As a result, these rooms have more Qi, and the Qi is purer, enabling cultivators to increase their cultivation speed," Hu Wen explained slowly, emphasizing the pagoda's unique properties.
