Chapter 2: Death Doesn't Let You Dream - II
"Alright, enough both of you" The man spoke, he looked at me and said, "remember what I told you?"
I didn't have the faintest idea what he was talking about. I nodded yes.
"Good, now listen, what we are doing is for you, this is a good opportunity for once you get married to Count Fadesil, you won't have to worry about your future. This is the best option for you so don't disappoint me or you know what will happen if you do," he said in a cold tone.
They took me outside where a carriage was ready. The maid helped me climb up and then the girl Leila closed up to me and whispered.
"oh also, you don't need to worry about Adrian, I am making sure he is loved every single day and…night." she scoffed with smug and the carriage started moving.
I was sitting in the carriage for over an hour now with the maid that woke me up in the morning, and for some reason when I heard the name Adrian, it felt like my heart was getting crushed under a rock.
Who was he? Who is Adrian to Nasrine? There were a lot of questions, but there was one thing for sure that was absolutely true and clear…
This is my new life and this is me, in a new body, new name, and new past, but with the same misery, fate, and suffering.
Suddenly the carriage stopped, I peeked outside the carriage and found myself in the middle of the forest.
"Where are we? Why did they stop?" I asked the maid, something in the back of my mind was telling me that something was wrong.
I looked at the maid and she walked out.
I followed her and found myself surrounded by 8 men, they were on the horse, and one of them dismounted from the horse and looked at me.
"What the fuck you bitch! This isn't what we talked about! I didn't ask for a fat bitch! She isn't even worthy of a cheap brothel! Did you fucking lie to me!"
The man was roaring in anger, his one eye a long scar, and he saw another one, he grabbed the maid's collar and the maid yanked his hand.
"Watch your mouth, Garrett! I have never lied to you, she is one of them! Even the duke and duchess have no clue about it, she does possess the skill! I had my doubts and I was right, I even checked to make sure.
If you don't believe me then check this out!" she threw a gem that shone in two different colours, violet, and scarlet.
All the men gasped and ran toward the man named Garrett to sneak a peek at the gem.
A wide smile appeared on Garrett's face and he began to laugh… "Finally! A jackpot! Once we make an offer to the Sect of Lilith, they will pay any price for her!"
"Now, now don't get too excited, give me what we decided upon, I need to get out of this kingdom as soon as possible or the Duke would skin me alive for selling his golden goose."
The maid snickered and shrugged her shoulders, my body went cold and I realized my situation, I was being sold off!
I don't know what, but a fate worse than death is upon me, but my legs gave up to fear and fell on the ground.
"Alright, alright, here's your reward!" Garrett stabbed the maid's neck with an arrow and the maid fell to the ground.
"What are you doing bastard?" the maid spoke with her remaining breath and Garrett stomped and crushed her head.
He looked at his men and they killed the coachman too.
"Alright, men make sure this looks like a normal loot of bandits! She went to some extent to get a guardless carriage, so take her body and burn it somewhere they don't find it.
Once they find out about the incident they'll think she was the one that kidnapped her and will go for her neck, if they really care about this pig." He said and walked up to me and grabbed my cheeks and pulled me up.
"But, I doubt they will do so as if they will care about her; they never would've sent a girl from their castle for that monster of a Count!" He yanked my face and went on laughing hysterically.
What should I do? Should I run? But where? Where will I go? Who will help me? What if they catch me? Will they punish me? Then will they kill me too?
What should I do?
Someone, please tell me what I should do.

*RUN*
A creepy whisper echoed in my head….
Run? Run where? But Where will I run? They have horses that will catch up to me in seconds.
Where will I run?
*RUN…*
The voice screeched again, but then Garrett grabbed my hair and picked me up…
"Now be a good girl and come with us if you do what we say I promise, we will let you go!" Garrett said and smiled.
But I know that's a lie, all my life I've only known promises that made me suffer later.
*RUN…* *RUN…* *RUN…* *RUN…* *RUN…*
The voice got louder and louder and with unbearable pain in my head, I pushed Garrett away and ran inside the forest.
"catch that bitch! But Don't harm her! Just paralyze her temporarily!" Garrett yelled and his men started chasing me…
My dress was torn up by the dried branches of shrubs, and my skin was torn from the thorns in my way. I was just running blindly, like a crazy person.
I ran and ran and ran….
Until the same voice screeched again,
*TURN LEFT*
I followed it hoping this might be my chance to save myself.
But then, the land beneath my feet sank into the land and I started falling…
"What…" For a while, my mind went blank, then I moved my eyes and saw many sharpened bamboo piercing my guts.
My blood and my organs were skewed on it and I was Garrett and his men looking at me in disdain.
"he…lp…me…ple..ase" my voice isn't coming out, I could feel my throat piercing too…
I can't even scream to tell them how much in pain I was, I wanted to cry, but I can't even do that.
"tsk! Fill this up!" Garrett said and turned his back.
"N…o…pl…ea…se..hel…p…"
My body didn't even start to get cold and they started throwing soil on my face.
"N…o…pl…ea…se…he…"
Slowly my vision faded and I closed my eyes…
"Will I die now? Will it be painful? Maybe it's like sleeping…" my own voice taking me to somewhere colder.
As I was going deeper, the memories of the real Nasrine came surging inside my head, and I realised weren't really that different.
It was just our names and places were different, but the fate was still the same… Wish I could've met her when she was here…
Maybe, we could've become friends, but I am sorry… It's my time…
I was sinking deeper and deeper into the blind abyss…
Until I saw a light and a hand reaching out to me…
"who…" I looked at that pale blue hand, it had glowing runes on it, and grew closer to me….
*THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU ARI* the same voice that told me to run, echoed in that abyss…
"you know me?" I asked,
*OF COURSE, DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME?*
"I am sorry…but I"

"Who are you-" and suddenly he grabbed my neck and everything went pitch black again…
"Did I die?"
"Lady Nesrine wake up! It's morning already." I opened myself and found myself in my room again, before I could even understand what happened to me I saw the parchment on the wall that said-
