Chapter 2: Be a member at 18
Alex POV
Uncle Ty! Im turning 18 soon. I'm already good at martial arts and I studied well in my academics. When are you going to let me join you?
I'm already good at everything and I excel in everything. I've been a good girl and never disappoint you ever since. I'm really really curious about your group. Uncle Sam and uncle teddy said that I can join you guys when I was 16 but you didn't let me and told me when I turn 18. Now, uncle. In a month's time, I will be 18. Can I come with you to your assignment next week? Pleeeeeeeeease?
Uncle Ty: not yet dear. As long as you are not 18, there is no other way that you can come and join me on my assignments. so stay put young lady and be a good girl. I'll be coming back after 3 months this time.
Alex: so you are not here on my birthday?
Uncle Ty: I'm sorry but looks likely like that my dear.
Alex: I hate you!!!!!!!!!!
So uncle Ty together with other uncles went on their assignment leaving Alex alone for 3 months. She celebrates her birthday alone and keeps on record the months, weeks, days, and hours until her uncle comes back to tell him a piece of good news about her new achievements in school.
Her excitement turns to anxiety when after more than 3 months her uncles never came back. She knows her uncle is always true to his words when he said he will come back after 3 months he always came back 3 days earlier or on time. He never came late but not now. 4 months passed no signs of her uncle and his friends came.
