Chapter 55: The Questioning (II)

"That's your ancestor, Henry Bartholomew Eadwald and some members of the foundation, it says so in the photo does it not?"

Lord help me...

"Mom, stop feigning ignorance and acting like you don't understand what I mean." I bit out through clenched teeth, stomping down hard on my frustration.

I'd come here knowing we would most likely scream our heads off at each other eventually anyways, but there was no need to let that happen so soon into the conversation...or shall I say, questioning?

"Pardon me, child. But I really do not understand what it is you're trying to say." Mom began, pulling her legs off the table and crossing one over the other instead as she leaned forward in her chair.

"The photo says 1523 and you expect me to know who those people were?"

I opened my mouth to speak, but then stopped as I realized she was right.
