Chapter 9: Arriving
[Crocodile pov:]
Water 7, you can clearly see that Water 7 was inspired by Italy, with its geography seeming to be inspired from the city of Venice which is also water-logged and has similar canals that people travel on, and has been similarly gradually sinking with the first floors of many old buildings now underwater.
Our journey was pretty peaceful, a marine ship tried to take us down, but that is mainly because I changed my pirate flag, let's just say that I'm not a fan of the Baroque Works flag. Once they realized wo I was we were allowed to go on about our journey.
While we were docking, a commotion was happening in the port. Two groups of pirates started a fight, I think it was a recent event that caused this, otherwise Rob Luci and the others would have been here by now. After seeing this I don't wait and jump on the ground just outside the scuffle.
"Yo... What's happening here?"
"It's none of your business, you better move on or else..." his words stuck in his throat as soon as he saw me. "Hey guys..." nobody heard him "Guys!!!"
"what do you want?!" they turn around and see me, I guess they recognized me cause they all became quite all of a sudden.
"You might want to tone it down or else..." Just as I said that I reach out my arm and in the palm of my hand you could see a sandstorm growing.
"Are we clear?" They all look scared and say: "Yessir!"
I didn't say anything else and I start making my way to my ship. [I underestimated the reputation of the Shichibukai, as soon as they saw me they were terrified, like they've seen a ghost.]
Just when I arrived they managed to finish docking the ship. "Mr.1, Miss. Doublefinger, Nami let's go" and so we began making our way to the Dock 1, where the Galley-La Company is and where the shipwrights work.
"Hey I understand that they have a reputation but how good can they really be? You are willing to give all of our money made by the casinos." asked Nami
"Money isn't a problem, we will always make more, even if the World Government takes back my Warlord title the casinos will be fine. As for the matter if the builders here are as good as they say, let me put it this way. This is the place where the pirate king Gol D. Roger got his ship made, The Oro Jackson."
"Woaa, I didn't know that... Can we also get the same shipwright that made Gold Roger's ship?" "Haaa...Sadly no, after the execution of Gol D. Roger every person that had connections with him was hunted down, that includes the shipwright that made his ship, Tom. But he had two apprentices Franky and Iceburg the current mayor of Water 7 and the CEO of Galley-La Company."
As we were talking, to move forward we were forced to use Bulls, which are seahorse-like creatures that are attached to boats to move around the city.
Once we arrived at Dock 1, you could see a big metal gate that had the number '1' inscribed on it. When we tried to enter the Dock suddenly a figure appeared right in front of us. A young man, who has big black eyes with 3 eyelashes on top of his eye, and a long nose similar to Usopp's, only rectangular in shape. This, of course, is none other then Kaku.
[Kaku...Prior to being instated into CP0, he was a member of CP9, operating undercover in order to obtain the Pluton blueprints from Iceburg. While undercover, he acted as one of the five foremen of Galley-La Company's Dock One, specializing in mechanics, diagnostics, and housecalls. After CP9's defeat at the hands of the Straw Hat Pirates, he and the rest of CP9 were dismissed by Spandam. For unexplained reasons, he was later reinstated and promoted to CP0.]
"Hey there, can I help you with something?"
Nami immediately answered " Yes, we were wondering if we could meet Iceburg."
"And what might be the reason you were looking for me?" From behind Kaku a man appeared. Iceburg is a tall middle aged man with blue hair and similarly colored lips. He wears a red and orange striped jacket over an unbuttoned orange shirt with a wide collar, black suit pants and black shoes. He usually keeps his pet mouse, Tyrannosaurus, in a pocket on the left side of his jacket, caressing his little head with his right hand.
Besides him stands his secretary, a slim, pretty woman with blue eyes and glasses. She has long strawberry-blonde hair, wich she keeps tied up in a bun. After I see them I speak:
"We want to issue a ship from the Galley-La Company." "If that's the case we should head to my office, it's rare to have a Schibukai order a ship from us."
And so we enter Dock One, as soon as we entered the atmosphere completely changed. Everywhere you looked there were only shipwrights working, and going happily about their day, unaware of the agents lurking inside of their precious island. On our way I saw Rob Luci, we made eye contact for a moment but I think he realized that I know his true identity. Cipher Pol agents sure are scary.
It doesn't really matter though, they don't present a danger to me.
We arrived at his mansion which was also the Company's headquarters, me and Iceburg along with his secretary entered his office while the rest stayed outside the mansion.
"So... tell me what do you want specifically, along with the material you want it to be made out of."
"I want a brigantine, a highly versatile type of ship, as for the material... Treasure Adam wood."
"I see... given who you are, you must be aware that Treasure Adam wood is an extremely rare and coveted type of wood, sadly not even here we don't have it."
"It's not an issue, I already have it." His eyes widens at that. " Also I heard you were once the apprentice of Tom along with another. I hope you can take upon yourself this project."
"Well you don't get to build the ship of a Warlord every day so consider it done. As for the time... I think we can finish it in a maximum of two weeks. Now for the price..."
We went over some paperwork and after that I made my exit. Just when I was about to leave the mansion I felt someone staring at me. " You can come out."
Suddenly the secretary of Iceburg, Khalifa appeared. "Why is a CP9 agent following me?"
As soon as I said those words, for a second she appeared to be shocked but being a master in infiltration she quickly recovered.
"I don't know what you are talking about, stop talking nonsense, are you sexualy harassing me?" I give her an unamused glare. "Anyways, Iceburg told me to show you a good hotel you could stay at while the ship is being made."
"Lead the way."
Once reunited with my crew we made our way to the hotel suggested by Iceburg.
