Chapter 2: 1.01.1 Stupid descendants.

Luvi sat alone in his room, still wondering if what he saw and learned was real or not.

"This got to be a joke right?"

But when Luvi thought hard enough, a giant book appeared in front of him with different indexes.

"Cultivation techniques, Martial arts, all of these monstrous heroes…"

"I probably died in the future right?"

The more Luvi thought, the more apparent the truth became. It would seem that his usage of the hacked account attracted some sort of bizarre fate that was made for that asshole Ram.

Though this fate came with a heavy responsibility.

"Fuck… before that, I need to delete all these IDs, or I might get fucked up."

He knows that he has forgotten to hide his IP while he was using Ram's account. It would be better to delete that tweet before it picks up any flame.

Though it had been a few hours since he woke up and some people that have been eyeing Ram for any updates already noticed all of this. Though there was still some time, so in a hurry, Luvi deleted the tweet and then deleted any data pertaining to the post he made.

'I pray nothing bad happens.'

"What am I even saying, the bad has already happened. And if I am not wrong, humanity only has 20 years of freedom left."

"But is this shit even real?"

Taking out some mango juice from his fridge, Luvi sat down with some frustration.

"What am I even thinking about?... Ye, the guy claimed the methods listed in this database can turn even a donkey into a dragon,"

"Currently in the world, there are no real methods to get stronger besides absorbing the Mana in the air. The more you absorb, the stronger your talent will get."

"But if the guy in that dream was speaking the truth, even a normal person can become a monster without need for any talent."

In the current world, at around the age of 13, there is a chance for a person to awaken a talent or superpower, which can later be strengthened after they absorb the magical energy that now radiates all over the world.

These talents are also divided into different ranks starting from S who can absorb the most mana and grow stronger at the fastest pace, followed by A, B, C, D and E.

With E being the one with the most limited future as their rate of Mana absorption is very low, close to nil.

But there is also the supernatural power one awakens when awakening, which is also rated from 0-4.

With 4 and 3 being civilian class powers that pose no threat to regular life even if they were strengthened through mana absorption.

In which, 4 was for completely useless powers that had no potential or use as for 3 was for useful powers that might not be lethal in nature, but they were very useful in other aspects of life.

While 2, 1 and 0 have their use and lethality increase as their rank rises.

With 0 grade powers considered forbidden powers by the government.

And of course Luvi was the worst of the worst. He was 4E, someone without any future. Or so it looked previously.

"If this is real, this 4E grading won't matter much."

Opening the cultivation techniques in his mind, there were two options.

'The knight path which is derived from the martial arts of Immortals and the Mage path that is derived from the magic path of immortals.'

Those names were chosen so that it is easier for modern humans to understand while also keeping the path of humans unique from that of Immortals.

So names like martial or immortal were abandoned by the revolutionaries. They opted to choose simpler names from games that were famous in the past long ago.

Though it doesn't mean the knights and mages in this are the classic ones from games.

'Mage path seems like too much work.'

Luvi ignored the mage path, he wished for something simpler. Something that won't be noticed by others.

'Mage powers seem too supernatural… there is still no precedence of an individual having multiple powers even among grade one.'

As for grade zero, Luvi didn't know what kind of powers they were.

"Let's check if they are real or not to begin with."

Focusing his mind on the Knight training manual, multiple techniques came to his mind that have different development trees the higher it goes.

And after a certain point, the tree ends. Its self realization after that.

"Immortals are divided in the Qi condensation, Foundation building, Core formation, Nascent soul, Soul transformation, then ascendance."

"On earth, only those in Nascent soul and below can enter. But the peak strength an S1 rank can achieve is only the highest level of core formation. They can't fight against a nascent soul cultivator."

Strength ranking, this was not an alien concept to Luvi. Like previous rating systems, the strength of an individual was also divided into star ranks.

White star for an individual with normal human capability. Green star for someone who can take on tens of people on their own. Blue star for those that can annihilate a city block at full power.

And then comes the Orange star, beings that are capable of annihilating a city on their own. They were the very beings that scared the governments from attempting to use any nukes during WWIII.

"This is going to be a bitch to differentiate. They should have at least given me a tool to detect the level of an individual."

Forgetting about what he can't have. Luvi started to look at all the foundational body building diagrams.

"Blood beast Overlord: High vitality, Regeneration, stamina. Requires high consumption of protein during the early stage. One can achieve Enhanced Speed at peak.

Requirements: Blood of Ancient vampire, Aard root, holy water, etc"

"Huh?"

The name might be mighty, but the technique itself is for building a foundation for the user and nothing more because higher level techniques focus more on mana than normal food.

But it didn't mean the effect of this method was low, one should know. This simple basic with mighty name was capable of bringing individuals among the top of humanity.

And if Luvi didn't think wrong, it would mean this basic technique was capable of bringing him to the top crop of Blue stars.

Sadly, there was a problem with all of this.

"Where the fuck can I find all of these ingredients?"

It would seem all body techniques required a potion to initiate practicing. One can't extract power out of nothing.

Same was the case here. For a top body practicing formulae like Blood Beast Overlord, it was understandable.

"There are no vampires in the current world, those retarded descendants of our kind didn't even know we don't have vampires or any holy water in the current world?... those fucking retards."

Though a bit saddened, Luvi went down the list and read a bit more names.

"Stone Titan's might… requires earth essence as the core ingredient."

"Nightbane physique… requires blood of a dark creature… which is somewhat plausible, but impossible to acquire through my current means."

There were hundreds of techniques, with most of the ingredients not present in the current world.

Luvi knew he can't blame the future humans for this. They were in a tough situation to begin with and even messed up their own plan by sending this gift to him instead of that snobbish guy.

Though it still pained looking at all the wonderful techniques that he can't practice at all.

Leaving him with many low level basic techniques, whose requirements for materials were a lot lower or not at all.

Among which Luvi end up picking the most basic of the basics.

"Fundamental Strengthening technique: An overall strengthening of all aspects of the human body. Doesn't excel at anything. It's a good technique to be learned by talentless soldiers without any future prospects. It's easy to master and fast to progress but doesn't bring any extra advantage or passive abilities.

It's the fastest way to cultivate soldiers.

Requirements: Ability to feel mana."

The most basics of the basics.

A technique with many disadvantages but only one advantage. It was easier to practice.

"Only the shitiest technique would suit the mighty me haaah!" Luvi was angry and wished to smash his head in a wall.

But he didn't do it.

The reason for picking this technique was simple, it was the easiest to master without any additional requirements.

In the list he read, there were multiple high level or medium level basic techniques that can be cultivated even in the present world. But those ingredients were too expensive for him.

And even if he had the money, he had no connections to buy these from unless he goes into the legendary dungeons himself.

That won't do though, he is just doing all of this to look cool and nothing else.

"Let's just try it and see if it works."
