Chapter 144: The Last Surprise

Ziana turned towards Zayden in surprise and smiled, seeing the shock spread on his face. It seemed like her friends had prepared this surprise for both of them, and she loved it! Finally, he would experience firsthand the unexpected shocks she often endured from him.

"So, what did you add to it?" Lilith asked the chef who was figuring out how to mix the batter. Everyone looked at the screen, surprise and smiles filling the room except for at one table.

Karina wanted to tear off the screen and bash Ziana that she didn't deserve all of this but held herself. She needed the right time to pull her down from her cloud nine, once she was done researching something odd. While Jackson had a similar expression, it was filled with sadness and jealousy. He didn't like this party at all, especially the reaper who was trying to court Ziana.
