Chapter 5: A Warning...
I just didn't work like a dog till midnight. I was also keeping my ears open to hear all the conversations that were taking place near me. With my Skill – Comprehension, all the snooping around was done more efficiently. Before sleeping, I started to organize all the important information I got:
"So, Ms. Lafa's a G-cup… Hmmm"
Most of the girls I saw on Earth were only up to D-cup. This world isn't small like my old one. I can see the difference even with my eyes closed.
'But her sister who works in the tavern is barely an A-cup. Also, I have to keep in mind that mentioning about chests is forbidden in front of Ms. Rinrin and all the girls who are like her.'
Not only that, I also found out more about the adventurers in this world and got acquainted with few of them. Some of the most important information I got is that most of the mages are females that had sexy bodies, but there are many exceptions. Also, all the adventurers are very serious about making their parties as they believe that they can't survive if their party doesn't have a single mage to cover and heal them.
Well, aside from that, in the side, I figured that most of the monsters in the region only appear near the great forest known as Aprician Woods. This forest was left unexplored due to strong monsters capable of destroying cities so adventurers only hunt them near the edges and veterans dive a little deep with parties through utmost caution. Nonetheless, this forest is also the lifeline of many towns and villages.
It is also believed that the elves are living inside the forest under the protection of a powerful deity and the only way to contact them is through their trade route in the far east.
There are many other villages and tribes located a little far from the forest but only this town, Karlte, has a high population and guilds around this part. All the regions including this town belonged to the Cremspan Kingdom, which is under the rule of a single empire in this world, called 'The Namlok King Empire.'
The currency is also a little bit different when compared to other isekai novels. The coins are instead known as coppers, silvers, and gold. Ten coppers coin makes one silvers and one gold coin will take a hundred silvers coins. Those coins are also not made from metals like gold and silver but were actually created using magic from the Empire.
With three coppers, I can get a mug full of beer, and with two silvers I can get wasted for a whole night. So, after working from evening till midnight, which can also be taken as a full day, I received 2 silvers as payment. Well, if I can eat cheap food from the tavern and sleep at a corner, I can probably save one silvers and five coppers each day. That means, to make it up to fifty silvers, I only have to work for more than 40 days. Also, to maintain my healthy life, I have to spend even more on daily necessities which makes it even more time to get an adventurer's card.
Crying bitter tears, somehow I slept like a log.
When he was working in the tavern, due to the influence of his Master Skill – Adept, he gets the following skills:

Waking abruptly, I looked around in the direction of the smell like a hungry beast.
'Bread!'
Since coming here, the excitement was so strong that I completely forgot to eat. And now, the sweet smell of those bread had ignited the dragon that was sleeping within my stomach. I was sleeping inside the tavern side so the smell of the freshly baked bread from Papa James was soo good that I can feel my mouth has become a dam.
"Get your ass over here!"
My sweet imagination was interrupted by the owner of that hard voice, the Chief Cook of the guild who wears an apron over his naked body. His scary face coupled with his strong muscular body that was covered by a... wow, he wore a pink apron today? made me once again creep out and stand up in attention.
"Yes sir!"
When I approached Papa James, he ordered me to freshen up and report for duty. Without any other way to earn money, I had no choice but to accept my fate as a worker and began my first-ever morning... or so I thought.
As I reported to Papa James as ordered, I expected to receive instructions to prepare food and serve customers. To my surprise, I was gifted two freshly baked bread and a bowl of thick vegetable soup free of charge. I was moved by the hospitality of the workers in the tavern, and I decided to give extra effort to my job that day.
But my surprises didn't end there. Soon after finishing my breakfast, I was called to the reception area once again. I thought that I would be tasked with sweeping and cleaning the area, so I arrived wearing an old, locally sourced-shirt and pants that I rolled up to my knees. I had a dirty rag slung over my shoulder, a mop in my left hand, and a bucket full of clean water in my right.
Rinrin and Lafa were already waiting for me, standing ready behind the reception table. They went wide-eyed when they saw me in my new attire. Papa James, who had been observing me from the tavern, smiled and nodded, appreciating my worker's spirit.
"Good morning Miss Rinrin, good morning Miss Lafa. So, which part should I clean today?"
With a happy smile and beaming positivity, I greeted them both in polite manners. Inside my head though,
'Yes! See me now. *hehehe* See how I'm already ready for any work you can give me. *hehe* I'm gonna impress everyone with my cleaning skills I learned from home and get an adventurer's card far sooner. *he* Just you wait!'
Everything whet according to my plan. They were both surprised by my get-up.
"You're ready for work, I… see"
Lafa spoke the exact words that I had predicted and Rinrin nodded with a 'Yes'.
'Now, they're going to show me the place where I have to clean. Sally! Be ready.'
But…
"You're not going to clean anything though…"
Rinrin said.
"What?"
I become confused.
'Maybe they're adding me to work at the reception. I do know how to read and write this world's language thanks to my OP skills but seriously? I'm gonna get to work with these cuties? Is god trying to satisfy all my desires? I don't even believe that much in gods so why?'
During my inner monologue, I concluded that something very unexpected will happen today and I'm going to risk my life.
But…
"You're going to become an adventurer today"
Lafa said.
"Whaaat!?"
I was confused once again, and also, my half-assed prediction about something unexpected will happen is happening right in front of my eyes now.
"Yes, Mister Sally. You just have to fill out this form and you'll get an adventurer's card for free~."
With an angelic smile, Angle Rinrin spoke to me.
"Think of it as the guild doing a favor for a future adventurer"
Lafa also made a follow-up after Angle Rinrin spoke.
'Truly worthy of calling them both angles!!!'
But, they were wrong about one thing though,
"I'm not just going to become an adventurer…"
To make it sound cool, with a cool breath, I started to speak in a cool manner. All that to impress these angles who are in front of me.
"I'm going to become a 'Legendary Adventurer'"
Both Lafa and Rinrin were amazed by my cool declaration.
"We're going to see it."
"I'll wish you good luck then"
They both replied with joyful expressions and I can sense that there's no malice or ill-intent on those faces. This made my heart warm.
'No matter what, I'm gonna protect those smiles'
"Here, fill this form and seal it below here with a drop of your blood"
"You got it!!"
With that, I took the form from Angel Rinrin and started to fill it up. The form didn't contain much and I only needed to fill my name, age, rank, the type of magic I can use, the type of weapon I use, class; if I got any, the qualification I have, the place where I came from, optional family history and in the skills where I exceed.
For magic, I skipped cause' I don't have any Skills to use magic. For weapons, I went with a sword, even though I didn't held a real one in my life, I can pretty much get used to this after a few swings. Class: None. Qualification: HS Student. For the place I came from; Faraway land. And for the last part, I wrote 'anything to everything in given time.'
Angel Rinrin took out my form and read it silently. Angel Lafa also glanced at the form and frowned a little, but recovered back to her pretty face.
"Well, everything you wrote in here is true right?"
"Hey, Lafa!! Everything he wrote here must be true. I completely trust him, Ok?"
"You don't have to worry about anything Miss Lafa. As Miss Rinrin said, everything I wrote in here is true. If you still have doubts, I can answer them in front of that man"
In Lafa's voice, there was suspicion. But Angel Rinrin rebuked her. I also backed her up by claiming everything was true. Well, to the extent where I consider them true.
Seeing the confidence in my eyes, Angel Lafa gave in and as the final step of the form, I dropped a single drop of my blood from the finger in the bottom part of the form and finalized the adventurer's card form.
Angel Rinrin took it inside the reception room and came back after some minutes. In her hand, was the shining silver-colored card. But before she would give it to me, she made a serious expression on her face and showed me a rough portrait of a man.
"Before I gave this card, you have to know some things"
"Ohh. Ok"
In front of Serious Rinrin, I have no choice but to become obedient. From yesterday's scouting, I heard a serious warning from the adventurers that 'never ever make Serious Rinrin get into Angry Rinrin, if you want to see the next day with your little bro intact'
"The first thing is that, whenever you saw this man, run. Don't ask why, just run. If you can't run from him, then kill yourself. But, don't ever let that man get to you or teleport you away understand? If you don't escape from him, you'll never be able to. Even for eternity"
