Chapter 21: I found her!

Caleb threw Gasia's hands away as he opened the door and ran after Amelia. He didn't want her to misunderstand the situation. He gave her his words and he needed her to realize that he meant what he had said. His long legs could catch up with her and he quickly pulled her towards him before she could close the door to her room.

Amelia lost her balance and fell on his chest. Taking advantage of that, Caleb tightly held her in his arms not letting her move even an inch making her struggle to break free from him. She tapped his chest a bit hard, yelling, "Let go! Let go of me!"

"No, I can't. Listen to me first."

"No need. We aren't a real couple, are we? Why must I care? You can hook up with anyone you want, you moron!"

Caleb frowned. "You always scold me without giving me a chance to explain. Don't behave like a child. Do you seriously think that I can sleep with a servant? In your eyes, am I that low?"

Amelia nodded truthfully. "Of course you are. You can sleep with anyone but..."

She gulped her next words. She wanted to say that he could sleep with anyone but her. However, she was embarrassed to say that. She was devastated in herself. Was she that horrible? Was Gasia better than her?

"But what? Why did you stop? Tell me everything you want to," Caleb insisted. "Otherwise your continuous glares will give me headaches every day."

His words made Amelia roll her eyes. "I don't want to speak to you. It gives me a feeling like I want to puke. Simply and shortly, you are so disgusting. I pray for time to pass quickly or else I don't know how to survive living under the same roof with a person like you."

Caleb let out a soft snort. "You hate me that much?"

Without batting an eye, Amelia blurted out, "Of course."

Her reply made Caleb sneer. "I'm happy to say that I hate you too. Good night Medusa!" He softly released her from his grip.

"Good night Playboy. Enjoy your precious romantic night with your little prey." Amelia swiftly entered her room and slammed the door in his face.

Caleb was left speechless. He felt like it was so annoying to argue with her from the very beginning. They just got married and now arguing on their wedding night. What else could be going worse? Maybe they weren't meant to be together.

Caleb shook his head. 'What kind of crazy things am I thinking?'

By the time he returned to his room, the maid who caused trouble to him was nowhere to be seen. He sighed softly. He was too tired to deal with it for the time being. He just wanted to take some sleep peacefully. Wearing a night robe, he laid down on his comfy bed but strangely enough, he couldn't fall asleep. He got truly annoyed by Amelia and it was irritating.

Out of boredom, he called certain someone using his office phone.

"Big brother," The other party exclaimed in shock and happiness. "You finally remembered that you have a little brother!"

Caleb scoffed. "Little! You? Are you kidding me?"

Adrian pouted his lips like a baby. "Bro, you are so mean you know. By the way, why did you call me?"

Caleb didn't know how to answer that question. He opened his mouth to tell him that he got married that day but in the next second, he dismissed that idea. His marriage was neither important nor everlasting. So why would he bother to waste his breath?

Moreover, Adrian was a gossipy brat. He didn't have the mood to answer his questions regarding Amelia. Plus, thinking about her made him angry. She was so mean and he wanted to stay away from her. She was a pain in the neck even more than Adrian.

Unknowingly to himself, Caleb sighed softly. Nevertheless, Adrian's keen ears could easily hear him.

"Bro, what's the matter? Why are you exhaling so loudly like you are done living."

"Bullshit." Caleb snorted coldly. Amelia possibly couldn't cause such kind of a huge impact on him, could she?

"Nothing's wrong. It's been a while. Why aren't you returning home yet?" Caleb enquired, hoping to change the topic.

Adrian didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He could buy a suitable phone. However, the glass swans were out of stock and he had to wait at least for a week to buy one. He got so bored and he felt like he was gonna die in France. Thanks to attractive and mischievous French girls, he was able to live until now.

"Bro, you pushed me to the abyss! Finding a glass swan is much more difficult than I expected it would be. How could you treat your only brother like this?"

Caleb got annoyed by him. He didn't know why everyone wanted to pester him and make him angry like that.

Adrian was about to say something more when he heard the beep sound. Apparently, Caleb hung up on him without saying goodbye or good night although it was early in the morning in Paris.

With a soft growl, Adrian put his phone back on the bedside table.

The blonde girl who lay down naked beside him looked at him worriedly when she noticed that his mood wasn't that much of a great one.

"What happened, chéri?" She asked deliberately making her voice sound soft like a ringing bell.

"Nothing. It's none of your business."

Adrian lost interest in her already. He grabbed a towel to go inside the bathroom to freshen up. The woman stood up from bed asking, "Should I accompany you? It will be so much fun."

"No need."

"Oh, come on!"

Adrian sighed heavily. "Okay fine."

Then he picked her up and carried her inside the bathroom and threw her into the bathtub already filled with water, making a loud splash sound.

"Enjoy yourself, bye!" Then he closed the door to the bathroom and returned to the bedroom. After wearing his clothes properly, he left the hotel without looking back.

That morning, he wanted to visit more companies which were famous for making glass items. He wanted to buy an exact carbon copy of Caleb's precious swan. Knowing that a powerful person like him personally visited their company to buy a swan, the entire staff gathered around him showing him the best items they had.

They even suggested him to explain what kind of a swan he needed so that they could specially design one just for his liking but Adrian refused it. It would probably cost so much time and he wasn't planning to stay in France for that long.

With a sigh, he left there. He visited more than five companies and it was time for him to have his breakfast. He was so hungry that he didn't bother to find a fancy restaurant and just went to a small restaurant in a corner of the street. There, he put his cheeks on his palms and growled, frustrated.

"Sir, What do you wish to have?" A girl's voice made him look up and the moment he did, he got stunned.

The waitress was speechless and shocked when she realised that the handsome young man in front of her kept looking at her. She blushed, embarrassed. Before she could speak again, Adrian pushed her aside saying, "Move away. You are blocking my view."

Then he took a closer look and his eyes lit up in delight before running towards the counter like a madman.

Gosh, fate was something else.

"Yessa! I found her! I finally found her! Hooray!!!" Adrian did a happy dance not caring about the people around him.
