Chapter 23: Chapter 23 - Feast
Felix could see Dumbledore and McGonagall exchanging a look. He couldn't quite tell what it meant, but he had a feeling that being sorted into Ravencalw wasn't exactly what they had expected.
McGonagall, who was sitting at the staff table, let out a small sigh of relief as she thought to herself, "At least he's not a Slytherin."
Dumbledore, on the other hand, simply smiled and slowly clapped his hands as the other students.
As Dumbledore finished with the Sorting Ceremony, he stood up from his seat and raised his arms, a wide smile on his face. "Welcome, everyone, to another year at Hogwarts!" he announced to the students gathered in the Great Hall. "I hope that you are all as excited as I am for the start of another year of magical learning."
The Great Hall erupted in cheers and applause, and the tables filled with all kinds of delicious food, from roast beef to pumpkin pasties. The students eagerly filled their plates and started chatting with their friends.
Dumbledore watched the students with a twinkle in his eye, but soon his attention turned to Felix, who was sitting at the Ravenclaw table, looking a bit overwhelmed by everything that was going on. He could sense that the boy was feeling anxious and unsure about his place in this new world.
After a few moments, Dumbledore stood up and raised his hand, quieting the noise in the Great Hall. "Before we begin our feast, I would like to welcome our newest student, Felix Hermian," he announced. "Felix, you have been sorted into Ravenclaw House, and I hope that you will find a home here with your fellow ravens."
The Ravenclaw table erupted in cheers and applause, and Felix couldn't help but smile at the warm welcome. Dumbledore continued, "Now, let the feast begin!" and the tables were once again filled with all kinds of magical delicacies.
Felix picked up his fork and began to eat, savoring the flavors of the delicious feast laid out before him. He couldn't remember the last time he had eaten such a satisfying meal. As he ate, he felt his hunger slowly dissipate, and his mind began to wander. He thought about the sorting ceremony, and how he had ended up in Ravenclaw.
"I mean, it is not something that I did not expected."
"Considering wisdom and learning needed to improve myself. It would make sense for me to be placed in Ravenclaw."
He had always thought of himself as a bit of an outsider, someone who didn't quite fit in with the other kids at school. But now, he was surrounded by a whole new group of people, all of whom seemed just as interested in magic and learning as he was.
Felix also noticed some of the people looking at him.
Felix felt a sense of excitement building inside him as he looked around at the other students. He couldn't wait to start learning more about magic and exploring all the secrets of Hogwarts. He knew that he had a lot to learn, but he was eager to take on the challenge.
