Chapter 7: Journey Towards The Village

"Alright, let's head inside before you catch a cold then." The old woman responds.

She walks into the house and leads him back towards the room with the sleeping Luna and the fireplace.

He notices that a couple of hours have passed, and that the old woman is quite tired as well. She sits down by the fire, as she now starts to warm up.

She then hands him a blanket to warm himself up. Max declined it and said that he will not sleep through the night.

Max can just barely start to see that daylight has started to peek through the windows.

The old woman begins to say something to Max, as she says, "I have a feeling you're going to be quite a powerful person, with a good heart who will help others."

She then falls asleep beside the fireplace.

Hours pass, and the sky slowly starts to get less dark. The old woman is still asleep, as Max can hear her starting to snore a little bit.

He waits by the wall, as he hears Luna start to stir a bit as well. He feels the need to rest, but he doesn't want to sleep.

It isn't that long before the sky is now filled with an orange hue, and the old woman's snoring has now stopped.

Luna slowly wakes up, as she sees the light of the sky start to hit her face. Her eyes seem to still be closed, but Max can tell that Luna is trying to wake up as she groans a little bit and slowly opens her eyes a little bit to get used to the light before fully waking up.

Luna tries to clear her head, as she rubs her eyes and moves herself to an upright position against the wall.

After blinking her eyes a couple more times to clear them, Max can fully tell now that Luna has woken up and can see him now.

"Mmmmmmhhhmmm." Max can tell by the tone in Luna's voice that she is just starting to wake up.

He can see that Luna is in a state of complete drowsiness, as she is still trying to rub sleep out of her eyes. She then starts to move her neck around to try to release some of that stiffness that starts to build up through the night.

"How long have I been asleep?" She asks Max.

"I don't know maybe all night."

Max can tell Luna had no idea she had slept through the entire night.

"Oh. Yes. Are you ready to leave?" Max can tell at this point, that Luna is still half-asleep and is not completely in the right cognitive state to travel yet.

"I'm ready to leave but you can rest a little more since you're too tired."

Luna's eyes once again return to a half-lidded state, as she starts to fall back asleep. Max starts to hear her snoring once again.

Max waits for about 30 minutes, as she seems to start to regain some cognitive control of herself. Max can tell that Luna doesn't need to sleep anymore and is now ready to leave.

"Let's say goodbye to granny first."

Max goes to the old woman, who now is back to sleeping on the sofa in front of the fireplace.

He walked over to her, as he said, "Thank you for everything. It was very nice meeting you."

Max can see a look of appreciation in the old woman's eyes as she opens them and smiles at him.

"Good fortune and safe travels." She responds.

The old woman is now looking at Max directly in the eyes, as she says to him, "Take care of yourself, and please don't be afraid to come back here if you need anything. You are always welcome."

She has a big warm smile on her face as she speaks this.

"Will do... thank you for healing me."

Max and Luna go to the door, and open it. As he exits the house he can see the bright sun now starting to peak over the horizon.

Max sees that morning has fully arrived. As they exit the house, they see the old woman and she waves goodbye to them.

"Goodbye, and take care."

They wave back to the old woman, as she smiles at them.

Max and Luna exit the house and close the door behind them.

Max and Luna now stand on the steps that lead to the main road, as they are ready to start their journey towards Max's village.

"Luna... I can... uh... still see your body inside that cloak, we better buy you some clothes when we get to the village and I'll find the one who teaches me how to use magic, I'll ask her to teach you too."

Luna responds to him, "You really think I can do that? Learn magic? I'm not like you, I don't have an affinity for it."

Max can see from what she says to him that she sounds a bit uncertain of herself.

"She really doesn't care if I see her naked body..." Max said in his thoughts.

They are now standing at the edge of the main road, and from their location they can see that their best path back home is to head west and they should eventually reach where Max village is.

Max and Luna start to head west.

They start to notice now that the road they are traveling along is starting to shift from being a straight road to a windy mountain road.

Luna's eyes seem to focus on the many different green mountains around them as they and her start to head west.

Max can see that the main road stretches far ahead of them in both directions.

It seems like the road is very straight, and that there are no major obstructions in their path.

They feel a bit of the sun's heat start to hit them in the morning.

Max and Luna continue to walk down the path, until they eventually come to a large lake to the left side of the path. They can see that the lake is filled with blue water, and that there are lots of fish swimming in the lake.

Max and Luna then decide to take a quick break by the lake in order to cool themself off and rest a bit.

Luna looks over towards the other side of the lake, as she stares towards the other side.

They notice that their eyes can only barely discern that there is a figure on the other side of the lake from them.

The figure is too far away for them to tell who or what this figure is, they will have to get closer.

They decide to slowly approach the figure on the other side of the lake, as they notice it hasn't made any aggressive movements.

Max and Luna slowly approach this figure. The figure is tall and is wearing a black cloak that covers his entire body.

They can see now that this figure is a man, and that he has a black sword on his back.

The figure seems like he is not moving and is just watching over the lake.

Max can tell that this man is very powerful, as his body is radiating with a magical aura.

This man also seems like he is much older than Max.

What Max notices most about this man, is that he seems to be an expert with a sword. The sword at his back seems to have a unique red-colored aura coming from it.

This man now starts to walk on the water towards them, Max and Luna are shocked to see the man walk on the water. As the man gets closer they notice the burn scar on the man's face. They can tell that the man has some very deep experiences.

They can tell that this man is not a very talkative person, but he has not shown himself to be aggressive whatsoever.

He also looks quite intimidating with his spiked up silver hair, black cloak, and serious look.

Max and Luna stay at the shore of the lake and wait to see if the man approaches them, or walks right past them.
