Suddenly Aditya opened his eyes because he felt something not quite normal. But what greeted him was absolute darkness. His brain started running at a very fast pace trying to make sense of the circumstances he found himself into, but suddenly he felt a movement that he could not describe but he was feeling immensity of something totally beyond all the things he ever experienced.
Suddenly in this darkness a voice started resounding.....
Void-"Aditya your life has come to an end or rather your life as Aditya has come to an end. You are here and have an opportunity to decide the circumstances of your new beginning, though only very small part of it could be influenced by you. "
Aditya was now bewildered. Firstly, he died and now he is here in this weird place and is being told about the opportunity he has to influence some parts of his future life by seemingly something or someone which he could not even see. However he was not affected by the fact that his life has come to an end or he was not even thinking about his next life because he was feeling as if the entity which he can't even see has immense love and affection for himself. It was not the love of a person who wanted something from him. This love he not even felt from his own mother and father. So he asked something which was most important to him at this moment.
Aditya-"Who are you?"
Void-"Though your question is totally irrelevant I would still satisfy your curiosity if that is what you so desire. Though I could never be described but the word which you humans use 'God' is the one that will be the appropriate answer though it will still be insufficient to describe me. Now child you would go back in time and take the place of Karna from the epic Mahabharata just before he was abandoned. But you can choose any two boons which I would grant you and you will be born with them. Now think wisely and answer me child. "
Aditya was now using all his energy to think about his two wishes. He wanted to speak and ask many questions like why did he died? or why he was given such opportunity but he simply couldn't. It was due to the beauty of the voice he heard. Now to be honest all he wanted was to stay in this void forever as the feeling of affection which almost every organism desire consciously or unconsciously was in this void however he also knew from the words of God that he can't stay here and has to go. Now, coming to this conclusion first and foremost question that arose in his mind was why would he have to go in Karna's body?
Void-"You were the one who said you wanted to be in Karna's place just before sleeping right, so it's because of you. Though you said that as just some passing dream, however child, you have to bear responsibility for your every action and word spoken. Often small gestures often have tremendous consequences. Now leave these questions and other thoughts aside and state your two boons. "
Aditya thought -
'Well... He is the God so he probably read my mind. As for the casual words he spoke, although he didn't meant those words and he thought that he had no responsibility but still he left it alone as there really is nothing he could do in front of God so he didn't want to waste his energy on useless chatter. It might seem strange but he has always been more of a rational person so he could tell that no amount of discussion could change his predicament. Now, the question of two boons, he started to ponder over this question. Now as he was taught in school, he applied the same process of scientific problem solving here, which is-
1. State what is given to you.
2.What is it that you want from the given information.
3. The process by which given information is molded into the desired outcome.
So here ,
1.GIVEN- He would be living his life as Karna in Mahabharata. He has been given two boons but he could deduce that those two boons must not be beyond the limit of nature that is something like immortality is impossible.
2.WHAT HE WANTS- He wants to live a good life which is to live peacefully and having all the basic necessities like food, clothes, shelter.
3.PROCESS - He will under no circumstances participate in the Kurukshetra war. He liked the scenes of war when it was on TV but he would never ever contribute or participate in war. There is, after all, only destruction in war. He has seen on TV a mother crying as his son died in war. He still remembers her screams which had shaken him to his core. He didn't have any control over other people but he himself would not be a part of this madness. Of course if he is in physical danger then he like any normal human being would do something for survival but Kurukshetra war was something which was not for survival but for things like honor, oaths, and so on which had nothing with survival. Animals never have had wars is enough to prove that fight for survival and wars are two totally different things. So, keeping these things in mind he finally found his two boons. '
Aditya- "Well, God I have thought about my boons"
void-"Very well ,state your boons my child".
Aditya- "For my first boon grant me the skill of 'understanding'. By 'understanding' , I mean that I will be able to understand anything as long as I use this skill. Through this skill I would have a total comprehension at verbal and non-verbal level. In layman language, he would be able to not only apply it practically but also will have all knowledge of it. To take an example, a football player may not know physics and maths but he can play football but a person knowing all about physics may not necessarily be able to play football. So by using 'understanding' he would be able to do both play football as well explain it using physics and maths."
Void- "Very well you will have it however the duration of this skill will depend on your physical condition. You will have to improve your physical condition on your own. Now ask your second wish. "
Aditya-"For my second wish give me a daily sign-in system, where I will be awarded points daily by signing in and I would be able to allot these points either directly into stats or buy something on the mall. Of course to make sure that I don't become too OP I would only get stats points as rewards from signing in and points will be ranging from 0.1 to infinite points. "
Void -"Well... It is alright though I must say system is quite weird for a wish but anyway, since everything is done you will be on your way now. And also, a friendly reminder, don't believe anything you know about Mahabharata as things will be very different but you are fairly intelligent so you won't have problems. And if you don't understand anything then.... well use your skill you know. Bye then.
Aditya-"Well bye and thank you. I hope, no I know we will meet again. "

Void-"Well let's see what changes will you bring Aditya or should I say Karna.
