Chapter 240: Recklessness

The tree branches swished through the air, the sounds gathering into a single storm-like cacophony. In just a few moments, a calm forest turned into a deathtrap.

'I have to move fast!'

Blocking these attacks wasn't an option—each moment Cael stood in one place brought more tree branches upon him, and it was only a matter of time until he would be overwhelmed.

Cael dashed forward, zig-zagging between the dozens, hundreds of tree branches that attacked from every direction. His System rapidly healed his injuries, and soon he flew in the air again—only to draw closer to the ground.

There he hoped to find a reprieve—but there tree roots instead reached to grab him.

With several big ice arrows, Cael froze those who got too close, but there were too many to deal with them all. He had to keep moving to not end up surrounded.
