Chapter 3: Origin

Chapter 3 – Origin

Following day...

What did you anticipate, then?

My stomach hurts, therefore I didn't go to school.

Ouch! I continue to flinch.

I chuckled stupidly.

My origins are so foolish that I can easily write an explanation letter and sign my report card.

My mother passed away while I was just in sixth grade, which traumatized me.

The most extraordinary and complicated person I know is my father.

Because he has three families.

Surprise, so am I.

He has a legitimate wife, and together they have seven kids. My mother was his second wife, and like my brother and sister, we are illegitimate children. Then his third wife, the one he was with today, they have twins. Think about how big our family was.

My mother and her family reside in the country, where I was raised. I was just three years old when my father abandoned us. I only meet him recently because I had to move into the home of his first family because my brother had lately been transferred to West City, which was eight hours away from where I was studying. In order to get me a room in his enormous mansion, my brother Marcus spoke with him.

"Hey! Why didn't you come in on Friday?" She questioned as Janice and Charmaine entered the space. I took my freshly written letter of justification right away.

"Your stomach grumbling? Your face." She chuckled.

"Yes, I have a stomach ache." I confirmed, grabbing the letter and sticking it in my notebook.

Our values teacher didn't ask it because we have a new topic.

"Brenda stated that you was idle. It's as if you don't even exist." A self-professed gossip monger, Janice muttered to me. She doesn't understand the concept of a secret, so I won't ever try to share one with her.

"What do you mean nothing, exactly?" I inquired because I was interested.

"Since you don't respond to things the way boys do, it's as if you're not even there. Maybe you prefer girls instead." She did not alter. She speaks without pausing or worrying if she would offend anyone whenever she speaks.

"Seriously? Are you considering me in that way?" I laughed.

That isn't exactly kind, is it?

Does it always entail a male for it to exist?

"Let's go to the canteen, I'm joking." My face was uncertain, so she said before leaving.

In all honesty, I was deeply hurt by that, and it wasn't enjoyable. I abhor it!

What does she believe friendship to be? Flirting?

All of them are dull!

When Kean arrived, I was going to depart.

"Meg, what brings you back here? We should get to the canteen." I stood up with my belongings after accepting his invitation. I'm referring to the binder that has just two notebooks stapled inside of it. Kean tremendously inspired me because we both carried the same thing. He is fantastic in my eyes!

But unlike Lee, he was not a role model, as I've already stated.

He's still angry with me. I miss the daily teasing he gave me!

What if Kean is the one I want to date?

He's attractive, and I do like him since he's cool, but I'm sure he won't feel the same way.

Remember, he adore Mylene.

However, Mylene already owns Carlo.

What if I asked him?

Of course I need a boy to exist.

"Hey, don't you have a girlfriend?" I abruptly questioned it, startling him!

"Yes." He responded for a bit before abruptly blushing.

I mean, what the heck was he thinking?

Should I retract my previous query?

I can't!

"We should go out on a date?" I questioned as if I were inviting him to sing along like we always do.

"Huh?" He remained astounded. Before we joined our group at a different table in the canteen, Kean had not responded.

"Meg!" In front of Frank, Janice waved.

"Hi, Meg!" Frank welcomed me.

They appeared to have split up, but now they are embracing each other!

Brenda was observing me at the table, I saw.

I naturally quickly recalled what Janice had said previously. I don't respond, so I must not exist.

"You two are together once more?" I am now asking the obvious question before I sit down.

"Yes, but it's just a secret, right?" Janice reply with a grinned,

Secret your face!

You're an idiot, you don't know how to keep a secret!

As usual, everyone laughed heartily, as if it were their last.

I am simply grinning.

I'm still attempting to identify the source of my issue.

I could be unusual.

Once more, I felt depressed and uncertain of my actions.

I saw Elean Lee, my crush, chatting up a female at a different table. That would be all seventeen of his girlfriends that I can recall.

Yes, since then I have been keeping count of them.

He appears to be taking her account seriously.

One more depressing scene!

Several months have passed since the field trip incident.

He's absent from my life making me sad.
