Chapter 87: The flames that spread through the storm (3)

The call came unexpectedly.

"I heard that you've been promoted. Congratulations." 

It was a rough and dry voice. One that she felt was vaguely familiar, yet had a hard time associating a face with. 

"Who is this?" 

When she asked, all she received was a slight pause. Just as she was about to speak again, the voice spoke again. 

This time, she finally was able to put a face to the voice. 

"I apologize. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Liam Marken. The manager of Blue Daisy. We've met before." 

"Ah." 

Although short, he had left a deep impression on her. 

He was a rookie manager from Emblem of the Sun. A Tier 4 Guild. He was considered to be extremely talented. 

So? 

Why was someone like him contacting her? 

A newly promoted reporter? 

And then, she got the answer. 

"...I have a favor to ask you. No." 

He suddenly corrected himself. 

"A proposition."
