Chapter 2: A friend and a father

Weeks slowly turned into months and months into year's and 10 years slowly creeped up in this 10 years the planet that I was living on climate changed do to a mech factory exploding and the excess power from that factory want up into the sky which made it snow sense then are planet core has gotten cold which slowly froze our planet first came the ice rain it was so cold then that water turned to ice and then snow came and it just didn't stop my mother and her Boyfriend bot coats for them self's wall I had to find for my self my mother tried to make me ware girly things like dresses and makeup she even wanted me to do dancing like ballet I will admit I didn't care about doing ballet cuz I wanted to strengthen my body but after my 4 birthday I got tired of it and my mothers constant nagging if it wasn't for Rick I would have killed my self a long time ago who is Rick you may ask well let me tell you I was walking through the city using my power to hack into nearby computers and trying to find some form of entertainment but all I found was information on the Dragny family and it wasn't much the Dragny family was the royal family that was stationed here my orders of the emperor they was one of the oldest royal families around but they didn't care about all that royal stuff all they cared about was strength and taking care of there own they ran the Dragny trading company but that was all I could find well that and a lot of porn but I didn't care about that shit I was walking back to my house when I sensed a computer that had a lot of firewalls in it and like he knew what I was doing Rick opened his door and glanced out side he seen me and I seen him he was a man in his late 30s he had black and gay short hair his face was hard and his eyes were sunken in like he had seen many things he wore a brown shirt and military camo pants he had on black old slippers but from his elbow down was just a metal hook where hands would be he raised a eyebrow and gestured me to come closer with one of his hooks I shrugged and got closer I stood in front of the doorway know I could smell the sent of cigarettes on him but I also smelled smoke but that smell was very faint Rick looked down to me and in a quiet voice he asked was that you who tried hacking into my computer I nodded saying yes sir I was looking for something that could entertain me but sadly most of these fools around here have nothing but porn on there computers except for you Rick Shansy your computer has a lot of fun folders on it Rick smiled widely but surprisingly his teeth wasn't yellow from smoking they actually looked fine he held open the door saying come on in kid I shrugged y not I walked in when I walked through the door way the cold and wind from out side was gone and I felt warmth spread through my body Rick shut the door behind me come on kid I want to show you something and he leads me through the hallway to a living room that was full of electrical parts I seen his computer that was on the back wall it had a headset connected to it I looked over the headset it was a homemade vr headset I turned to him I was impressed about this old man's skill he laughed saying come on lad you ant the only one who can hack stuff come on lad lets us make a headset for you if you plan on going to the military school you don't want to look like a fool do you I laughed saying no sir and sense then we have been friends sense then hell I spent more time with Rick then I did at home Rick became my true family he was my father figure and my brother all in one he also was my teacher he taught me how to read and math but also in the vr he tot me mechanics, tactics and my favorite how to operate a meth even though are VR headsets was homemade and we hacked into these games so he could teach me all this I was happy and I learned a lot he also told me his story over the 6 years we spent together he awakened an E-ranked system one of the lowest ranks you could get and no military branch would take him except for the infantry which are basically meat shields Rich told me horrible things he had to do cuz his commanding offer didn't care about the infantry life we was dispensible in there eyes I can't even count how many friends I lost cuz of the mech pilots thinking they was better than everyone and we with a low-rank system are just disposable peace's on a chest bored I side hearing his stories I sware in my heart I would never treat my men like that I will fight with my man along side then like I did in my old life I woke up in my pink room it was my 10 birthday I got out of my bed I looked into the corner of my room to see a cracked broken mear I seen my reflection I was a very tail 10-year-old I was almost 5'10 to 5'11 unlike my mother my skin was a little darker then hers I was thin but not malnourished I found plenty of food even though it wasn't a lot I survived my long arms had some muscle on them but where most of my muscle was at was my legs my fists where scared and I had a few scares on my body from fights and beatings from my step dad my hair was long and curly it was raven black but at the ends it want to bright fiery red like my mothers I put my hair into a ponytail but the thing that made me stick out even more then my hair was my bright green eyes like my mother after I was done looking at my reflection I started my morning routine and I got on the ground and started doing push up after push up was sit up then squats after I worked up a sweet I stretched my body unlike most boys at my age I was pretty flexible doti my days as a dancer and I never stopped streaching my body I could not do the splits but I could move my body vary unnaturally I cleaned my self off after that and put on a black shirt and blue jeans I picked up my bag that had my spare close in it none of the close my mother choose for me I hated those clothes I walked out of my room to the kitchen where I saw my stepdad who was cooking food for my little brothers they got my mother's bright red hair and her eyes but the rest of there factors was from their father they was twins and only 5 years old I saw them rarely do to my time with Rick but unlike me, my mother was happy to give birth to two little boys she said I am happy to have two new joys in her life seeing that her daughter didn't do what she wanted I put my bag next to the table and sat down my stepdad Jim turned to me saying you all ready to go kiddo I nodded and in the most respectful voice I could muster for this pig I said yes sir Jim nodded saying good he put a plate of cold food in front of my saying good your mother has been crying sense last night maybe you could ummm go and talk to her I side nodding ok sir I will after I eat Jim nodded saying thank you lad and he want to go deal with the twins as I ate my cold food if you could even call this food after I was done I got up and walked to my mothers room the door was closed I could hear winpering and sobbing coming from inside the room I nocked and in the most respectful voice that I could muster for her I said hi mother it's me are you coming for breakfast I heard the winpering get loser to the door and very slowly I heard the door unlock and it opened I seen my mother she looked really pail her hair was in front of her face and her eyes was puffy and red she was in a night gown and she opened the door up for me I walked in she closed the door behind me this room was pretty bare just a bed in the middle of the room a tv next to the door way and a closet on the left wall my mom walked to the left side if the bed she sat down next to a old looking tablet she picked up the tablet and started looking through the pictures of me through the years and in almost a whisper I heard her say my baby girl is going away from us she is leaving the nest and for what to become a soldier what about your dancing skills what about your good looks maybe after you graduate you can do what I did and have a hi ranking members child you won't be sent off to war you won't die you won't be like that bastard father of yours and his family of mercks them fucking Dragny and there trading company they are thieves they killers no my baby girl ant like any of those bloodthirsty fools my dear old Rose is a flower she is a angle but I stopped listening I was dumbfounded hearing who my father was and before I could stop my self I sent a message to Rick and told him what I just found out but what I did next I used my mothers tablet to send a message to the Dragny family to my father this message basically confessed everything to him how she had had his child and before I could stop my self I used my powers to read my mothers mind she was cussing and swearing so much that a sailor would blush but she was swearing at the Dragny family but the person she hated most was a man called Fang Dragny I stopped reading her mind when I heard a knock come from the front door Jim was the one who answered it and I heard two sets of footsteps walk through the door Jim was trying to talk to them but a man in a gruff voice said sorry sir but we are here for the boy called Rose Dandelion where is he I walked out of my moms room not caring if my mother started to cry even more I walked down the hall to see two man both was in white and blue camo uniforms both had there hands behind there back one had a green winter hates that want over there ears the man on the right was taller and bigger but it was his eyes they was cold and sunken in like Richs eyes but the man beside him was smaller he was also dark skim I could tell out of the two the dark-skinned man was the commanding officer the man seen me walking down the hallway and he asked are you Rose Dandelion I almost side hearing my full name but I stood up strate and said yes sir my name is Rose Dandelion the man nodded saying get your bag and let's go we are on a time crunch I nodded saying sir yes sir and I walked to the kitchen I picked up my bag and walked to the door pulling on a black dirty hoody the commander glanced at my clothes and he looked over to Jim saying Y does he have no new clothes when the government gives you a hefty payment every two months I could see Jim start to sweat under the commanders stare I stood in front of the commander saying sir I am ready the commander looked back to me and his eyes softened a bit ok kid is there anything you would want to say to your family before we leave I looked into his eyes and I shook my head saying no sir nothing of importance the commander understood my hidden meaning and he nodded saying ok kid let's go and he opened the door the other man walked out first the commander motion for me to follow I did not looking back I glanced over to Rick's house I saw Rick looking through his window we had already said our goodbyes yesterday but I nodded to him he nodded back I walked to the bus that was stopped in the middle of the street I saw the other man walk onto the bus I followed the commander got on last and the door shut behind him.
