Chapter 88: Serving The Cruel Prince

"Everything is set, master," Isaac said, bowing his head to Aldric and staying that way, waiting for his approval. 

Aldric was seated at his desk in his study and stared at his supposed second-in-command with a calculating look, tapping his finger on the wood. 

"You're sure he would be there," Aldric needed to be sure, considering he heard rumors his brother dearest had taken camp in his chambers and wouldn't step out. 

"I'm sure about it," Issac's jaw was set, his voice thin and firm. Even a blind Fae could tell that Aldric was up to no good. He should be stopping this, not encouraging it. Unfortunately, he has to serve the dark prince. 

"Good. You may leave now, I'll handle the rest." Aldric waved him off. 

Issac had only taken two steps when he stopped abruptly and turned to the fae. 

"Is anything the problem?" Aldric asked with an arch of a brow, a silent challenge in his eyes and daring Issac to go up against him.
