He saw two little girls selling flowers under blistering weather. One was around twelve and the other was around seven or eight. Their clothes were dirty but it didn't hide their pure and cute looks.
He walked towards them. Lita also followed him.
"How much are those flowers?" He said bending down to their level.
The girls looked at him in confusion as if they couldn't understand what he was saying. But after a moment of looking at each other, one of them answered him. "t-two copper coins,"
They were surprised to see someone like Charles buying flowers from them as Charles was wearing very fine clothes.
Charles smiled and give them one gold coin. He wanted to give more but if he did that the girls would most likely get robbed.
After giving them the money, the two little girls looked at each other in amazement. They bowed and thanked Charles for helping them.
"Thank you, sir!" the old one said as she bowed her head.
"Thank you, sir!" the other one followed.
The older ones' hands were shaking as she hold the gold coin. It was not a small amount of money. They could live for a month in luxury with this.
Charles just patted their head and gave them an umbrella. The two girls were amazed by the action he did as the umbrella appeared out of nowhere.
The little one extended her hand which was holding the basket of flowers.
Charles took a rose from it and bent on his knees as he raised his hand toward Lita giving her the rose.
Lita blushed and took the flower.
They thanked him again as he walked forward with Lita.
"I feel sorry for them," Lita said as walked down the streets.
"It is what life is," Charles sighed as he glanced at the distressed Lita.

They walked toward a big tree. Lita sat down while Charles lay on her lap. He was checking the system.

They started heading towards the inn as the sun was also setting.
But Lita was a little worried about Charles as when they sat down back then. Charles was staring blankly at the sky while making weird expressions.
And now he was excitedly dragging her.
"Charles, are you sick," she asked Charles who was dragging her. "Why are you so excited all of a sudden,"
"You will see," He said smiling at Lita and continued to drag her.

In a dark alleyway, two little girls were standing, their backs against the wall.
If Charles was there, he would have instantly recognized those girls.
They were shaking in fear as three burly men blocked their way.
One of the men leaned forward, seizing the chin of the older one.
