Like an engine failure for a pilot, the thing I wanted the least, happened, and this time even I couldn't help but subconsciously exclaim in surprise.

"What?!!!"

My eyes narrowed, and the right corner of my lip tilted upward slightly in a frown, revealing my shock.

Despite the shock, though, I maintained my composure, refraining from jumping or shouting.

My voice remained low, and my exclamation sounded more like a normal response to Rachael, who replied without detecting anything unusual.

"Yes, it's awakening, right?"

"Correct."

I nodded, fully aware that denying it wouldn't change the outcome. 

Her situation perfectly mirrored what had been described in the novel before her awakening, which raised my concerns.

"Are you alright? Was the dream frightening?"

"Umm... I don't remember exactly, but it was like all darkness, and I felt trapped.... That's it, nothing more."
