Chapter 156: Error 156

Hector's system is divided into three main parts: injury, training, and fitness.

The risk of injury is displayed according to his physical condition. After each match, the body is tired. That's why there are rarely weight training sessions in the middle of the NBA season. If one day Hector is injured, the exact date and cause of the injury will be written there.

In the event of a severe injury like the one that caused him to miss the World Cup in 2023, the best suggestion when it comes to the process to follow for recovery is noted. It's not that he couldn't participate, but an operation was the best option, according to the system.

The system is not human. It does not consider feelings and thinks coldly.

Injury history is also available, and length of absence. The athlete's longevity is a subject of debate after his 30 years. Someone like Lebron James or Tom Brady is rare in this world. For more than 20 seasons in the NBA, Lebron James is still strong thanks to unparalleled body management and a work ethic.

The system circumvents this rule a little but cannot prevent physical decline or injury. But it puts him in the best conditions to perform as well as possible during the games and training.

Then comes the training part. Where he has the most influence. The system is aware of Hector's slightest physical problems in real-time and therefore adapts the programs according to what he thinks he can achieve.

There are general practices like shooting, dribbling, defense, positioning lord rebounds, playing in the post, and many other things that are the basics of the sport. It is with repetition of theory and practice that has made Hector what he is today.

Then there is the tactical aspect, such as the analysis of possession, the different offensive and defensive schemes, the different roles, and many other things. No one teaches a center the off-ball game of a shooting guard, and Hector here can study it.

Hector primarily uses both in the NBA season.

Then the physical aspect gives tailor-made programs to Hector and notes the progression. Whether on liveliness, endurance, or fitness, every detail and progress is recorded and visible in real-time.

Know the exact weight you can lift and the possible amount of repetitions during an exercise with dumbbells, the speed during training, and the state of fatigue of the body during a workout. Everything is helpful to avoid overtraining. And thus reduces the risk of injury.

He unconsciously adjusts Hector's posture to use the necessary energy during all the exercises. During shoots or a bench press exercise, Hector will perform as little movement as possible and use only the muscles that should be solicited.

If the system should be summed up in one sentence, it is: "You have to know your limits to overcome them."

The rest is just Hector's genius. The system is only an assistant, and how to synthesize the system value is Hector's problem. If the system's owner was more talented or NBA-ready than him, nothing says he would be stronger than Hector currently.

This is where Hector makes the difference. Work ethic, game intelligence, IQ, and EQ should be considered. There are incredibly talented idiots; some players compensate for their talents with unparalleled intelligence.

Hector is very smart, not lacking in talent, and has a good work ethic.

He already had professional experience, except during his first two seasons when he had to relearn his game because he had lost his physical advantage in JuCo when he arrived in the NBA.

He was on the low average physically, relying only on his speed and mobility when he arrived in the NBA, and he reinvented himself by adding characteristics to his game. His technique was decent, his shot too, but by constant work and adjustment, he became the complete scorer he is today.

Relying on a weak shot and solid fundamentals, he is physically strong enough to play post, too fast for centers, and too strong for the rest. With the intelligence acquired, he became a machine for drawing crowds and making steals.

He can create his shot with or without the ball, and his game vision is also excellent, whether in offense or defense. This allows him to anticipate and know if the opposing team is trying to trap him. Or whether he should help cover a defense.

He worked to be able to defend the guards, which made him an anti-small-ball weapon. Hector is the end of small-ball.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS

There was a big misunderstanding about the system. I had said from the start that he was passive, but I did not provide more details. I wanted to erase him from history, but it was too late. It's time to explain why he is rarely mentioned.

If it seems non-existent, it is an error that I have not been able to correct by neglecting the training. This is also why Hector gives the impression of stagnating.

One more chapter today because I'm happy to have finished Hector's MVP speech.
