Chapter 33: Unusual Fret

"Is that so?" she asked like a clueless child.

'Why would he worry for me so much when he was the one to articulate the punishment in the first place'

Drake on the other hand arched his brow finding words a little doubtful.' Does she doubts my intentions towards her?' he wondered.

"Of course, or else why would I call you personally if I haven't seen your sprained leg," he said keeping his tone as convincing as possible.

Drake hadn't realized how inappropriate it was of him to just call his student late at night. He didn't even mind checking the time before dialing her number and now when she found his words unconvincing, he felt offended.

'Something was wrong with him' the other side of his sane mind thought.

Julianna pursed her lips when she felt him sound a little upset even though he tried to speak gently. It was like any teacher going on calling their students to ask if they were doing well.
