Chapter 152: Being a sweet talker

Standing in front of Drake's cabin, Julianna contemplated knocking on the door. His words still lingered in her mind and she couldn't help but wonder how she was supposed to face him.

She knew things between them weren't smooth, but it wasn't awkward too. Yet this time she felt restricted to face him.

'Why is my heart beating so fast' she thought resting her palm over her chest, and felt its pounding.

Waiting there for a few more minutes, she finally made up her mind and knocked on the door. The moment she heard Drake's voice from inside, Julianna flinched on her spot.

Her eyes fluttered nervously at the closed door before she reflexively reached for her hand and pushed it open.

Just like every time, she was welcomed with a pin-drop silence but this time the air around seemed a little calming.

Unknowingly her eyes fell on the man sitting on the chair, and her heart skip a beat.
