Chapter 39: I want her to laugh like this every day.

"Hm..." So, it takes me two days before I'm able to master the second stage of Thread Ability.

Well, most of the time, I was teaching Yumi, so it took me a little late to master the second stage, but the good news, I mastered the second stage.

I was in my room while Yumi was reading something. Well, she also learned reading, and now she was reading the book the teacher gave her. I looked at her, more importantly, her ear, full concentration to move mana around my body. I try to release this mana outside of my body in a thread-like shape, and when I release this thread-shaped mana, I move this mana towards Aunt Evelyn, and when it's reached her, the thread mana is destroyed by other mana.

"Dev? what are you doing?" Aunt Evelyn turned her head and asked.

I scratch my cheeks, embarrassed that I got caught. I explained to her what I was doing.

I said that it's one of my abilities; this ability helps me connect my ear to her, and we can communicate with each other from anywhere as long as that place has mana.

But to attach this mana thread to anyone, I need to touch other person ear, so I'm practicing attaching this thread to her ear without touching her ear.

This is also the second stage, attaching thread without touching the person.

"Oh, but you can't do this to me, I'm strong so I will be able to sense any mana manipulation happen around me, when your thread reached my ear I sense it and destroyed it, so if you want to do this to higher ranker like me, then you have to be high rank," Aunt Evelyn said.

"Yes, I was able to attach a thread to Yumi's ear without her realising it, since her rank is not that high from me," I nod my head and understand this.

"Don't attach thread to your friends without asking them, it's bad manners," Aunt Evelyn flicked my head.

"Ouch," I rub my forehead.

"Here, attach in my ear," She leans her ear toward me and says.

"Really?"

"Of course, with this, I will know where you are, right?" She asked, and I nodded my head.

She will know where I'm through the thread, If I was stronger than her, then I can conceal my location, but I'm not.

"Yes, you will know where I'm."

"Isn't that good, then I don't have to worry about you going far away from me," She says with a smile, "Now hurry up and do it."

"Hm, yeah," I touched her ear and rubbed for a while, I looked at my aunt's face, and I felt that she is... trying to suppress her laugh... is her ear sensitive?

I rubbed more and more gently, and I could see her lips turning up.

It's fun.

I rub her ear more.

"One minute," I said.

"I'm not letting you touch it," She said, getting off the sofa and jumping backward.

"Let's see," Fighting spirit burns in my eyes, and I run at her, and when I'm just inches away from her ear, she jumps backward, then forward over my head.

It's frustrating.

"Haha, let's see... but what?" She laughs, and the sound is like a melody for me. I run behind her, and she softly laughs at every failed attempt at mine.

It's not going to work like that; every time I get close to her and my hand is just an inch away from her ear, she gets away.

Again, I come close to her. I move my hand to touch her ear, but I also move my second hand towards her waist; she seems surprised, and I easily catch her waist, pull her in a hug, and finally touch her ear.

"Yeah, I did," I said in an excited voice.

"Very good, but I'll let you touch me, so work hard to get stronger."

I heard my aunt, and my eyes looked at her face, just two inches away from mine. Yeah, I hugged her, so her face was too close to mine, feeling her hot breath against my face, I saw her eyes, they were beautiful.

Then I rub my fingers around her ears, and her red lips curve in a smile.

"Stop it, stop." She tries to get away from the hug, but she isn't making much effort to get free, so I hold her tightly and rub her ears more vigorously as she laughs, and it feels good to do this, making her laugh. I want her to laugh like this every day.
