Chapter 16: Under the oak tree
Su Jiu took in a deep breath and smiled at the two girls who had just called her, " You guys eat, I'll pass!", Su Jiu waved at them and pulled Lu Yan away.
"I don't understand why your classmates are fawning over you so much!", Lu Yan snorted.
"Hush! It's clearly because I got the brains and the looks.", Su Jiu winked at him.
"Whatever! Look, let's go sit under the oak tree over there!", Lu Yan pointed at the tree which was a bit far from them.
"Isn't the middle high school building closer to that tree?", Su Jiu asked nervously, after all Gu Zhu was in middle high.
"Yes it is, come on let's go!", Lu Yan grabbed her hands ignoring her pleading eyes and dragged her away to the tree, " What's there to be scared about sitting under a tree?"
'Brat! You don't know how fast my heart beat has increased now!'
Su Jiu tightened her free hand around her chest.
Su Jiu and Lu Yan settled under the tree to have their Lunch.
Su Jiu took out her chopsticks and started eating elegantly not knowing that she had attracted the seniors boys not too far away.
The seniors boys were roaming around when they noticed a long black haired beauty sitting under the oak tree not too far away with a guy as they ate.
"Gosh who's that beauty?", A year one boy gasped.
"She's so hot, see how elegant she eats!", a year two boy added.
Gu Zhu was returning from the staff office after submitting a few documents when he noticed a few students gathered and gasping.
He nonchalantly decided to ignore what was going on but curiousness got the best of him.
"What's going on?", he asked a fellow classmate.
"Gosh, it's a girl under the oak tree. She's damn pretty!"
Gu Zhu took a step further and looked in the direction the boy was talking about, sitting under the tree was Su Jiu who was eating and happily chatting with the guy next to her. She did not seem to know what was occurring here.
"Is she not pretty?", Gu Zhu's classmate turned to look at him awaiting his answer.
Gu Zhu stared at his classmate coldly, his gaze piercing and scary. His classmate Tae Mon felt the temperature around them change and immediately swallowed his saliva, he had actually angered the almighty Gu Zhu!
"Sorry! Sorry it was wrong of me to ask you such a question!", Tae Mon bowed slightly and fled away from Gu Zhu.
Su Ning who stood not too far away had her hands tightly clenched as she witnessed what was going on, this damn b*tch!
She only came to the school today and was already attracting so much attention?
She! Su Ning was the whole school's belle, they were supposed to be admiring her not that stupid girl!
Su Ning stomped her feet and left there, deeply annoyed.
Su Jiu innocently sat there not knowing the trouble she had caused.
"Lu Yan so what's your class like?", Su Jiu asked piqued with interest.
"My class? It's cool and doesn't make noise unlike your so called best class!", Lu Yan snorted.
"You're just jealous of my class! Hmph!", Su Jiu mocked.
"Who? Me? Jealous? Hah! You're going to make me have goosebumps with your words!, what's there to be jealous about your class?", Lu Yan leaned over a little, stared straight into her eyes and asked.
"What's there? Actually there's nothing to be jealous about! That class is so annoying!", Su Jiu pouted as she thought about it.
Before Su Jiu could say anything else, a hand harshly grabbed hers and pulled her away roughly.
"Ahh!", Su Jiu almost screamed from shock, she stared at whoever had done so and her eyes widened.
"Hey where are you taking my friend?", Lu Yan yelled as he chased after them.
Gu Zhu ignored him and pulled Su Jiu away to a place where no one else could even see a strand of her hair.
"What the hell is wrong with you?", Su Jiu was unhappy as she yelled angrily at him.
"What's wrong? Have you not have enough fun attracting attention?", Gu Zhu's eyes were full of mockery as he stared at her in disgust.
"What do you mean?", Su Jiu's lips twitched, confused with whatever he had said.
"Still pretending? I was just annoyed because noises were everywhere or I wouldn't have wasted my time bringing you here!", Gu Zhu took out a tissue and wiped his hands in disgust.
Ignoring the confused look on Su Jiu's face, he turned around and walked away.
"What's wrong with that guy? Do you know each other?", Lu Yan stared in the direction Gu Zhu just took.
"Know each other? No!", Su Jiu looked at her hands with self mockery.
Lu Yan did not notice the change of emotions and continued rampaging on.
Su Jiu slung her pink backpack behind and walked out of the classroom the moment the bell rang with a nonchalant expression, she did not bother to look out for Lu Yan.
Su Jiu had just walked a few meters away from the school gate when a man came running to her.
"Hello pretty young girl, I'm Qiao Mann, I'm from Golden Star entertainment! I believe you have heard about it?", the man introduced himself and went straight to the point.
Su Jiu understood what he meant, he was inviting her to sign under Golden Star entertainment as a child star.
"Why?", Su Jiu asked interestingly.
"You have what I think I'm looking for, there's a movie shooting going on and you have the looks we're looking for, it doesn't matter if you can't act, we can groom you!", The man didn't even show a single smile throughout his speech and showed her the contract.
Su Jiu was a smart girl, she understood everything in the contract after reading through once. She knew and had heard a lot about Golden Star entertainment. It was the top entertainment industry in the country and worked with other very popular international entertainment companies, it also had other entertainment companies around the world.
"I'll send this to my parents first to see what they'll say?", Actually Su Jiu did not want to let go off this opportunity but she knew she had to seek the consent of her parents.
"Sure, you have all the time you want!", Qiao Mann handed the contract to her and left.
