Chapter 29: Popularity
Su Jiu wiped her sweat and drank the water her manager had given her.
She was done filming her previous movie and was filming a new teen movie, she was the female lead.
"Go rest over there, I'll call you when it's time for your next shoot!", Kenbarre pushed her away.
It had been a few months now since she had debuted and her friendship with Kenbarre was quite good, they were much more closer than before.
'Ring...ring...!'
"Hello?", Little Cherry rolled her eyes when she saw who the caller was.
"Are you done filming?", Lu Yan's voice was heard.
"Do you think I am? Gosh I'm supposed to be resting now, I'll call you when I'm done filming!", Little Cherry hung up and rested her head on the chair.
Lu Yan snorted, this girl was really something being rude.
Little Cherry had rose to very high fame after filming two hit movies, the current was her third film.
She had a wide range of huge fans in the country and a few internationally.
"Hey where's Little Cherry?", Yang Lang asked Kenbarre.
"She's resting, don't disturb her!", Kenbarre warned.
Yang Lang ignored Kenbarre and walked to where Little Cherry was.
" We're supposed to be reading over the script so why should she be resting?", Yang Lang murmured angrily.
He badged into the room but immediately felt silent as he glanced at the girl resting peacefully on the sofa.
Her long hair was left untied and it was a bit messy making her look much more attractive than usual.
Yang Lang was so dazed that he didn't even realize Little Cherry was awake.
"Have you had enough staring?", Little Cherry snapped at him.
"Hey snow eyes, we're supposed to be revising our script so why are you resting here?", Yang Lang sounded a bit annoyed.
"I already revised my script, who doesn't know how perfect I am at acting?", Little Cherry smiled as she praised herself.
"Tsk...tsk... you're so shameless, you're so proud even when praising yourself?", Yang Lang chuckled.
"What's wrong with that? Who doesn't know how you praise yourself for being handsome?", Little Cherry rolled her eyes and stood up.
"Hey snow eyes where are you going? Let's revise the script once more!", Yang Lang held her hand and pulled her back.

Su Jiu was soon done with her shooting, she took the family car home.
"Mom...dad I'm home!", Little Cherry announced.
"Darling you're back, how was your shoot? Did anyone bully you?", Ming Xi asked.
"No one would dare to do that!", Little Cherry strolled to her mother's side.

Gu Zhu ignored the man before him and continued reading as if he did not exist.
"Gu Zhu are you still ignoring me? I'm your father!", Gu Tangli yelled angrily, punching the wall beside him.
"Ha! Father? You're not worth that title!", Gu Zhu snorted at him.
"How dare you speak to me like that?", Gu Tangli yelled furiously.
"That's because I'm ashamed of you! I regret having your blood flowing through my veins! I regret that a shameless person like you is my father!", Gu Zhu stared at the man in front of him, his eyes full of anger and resentment.
"Ashamed? Is it because your mother doesn't have a title? That doesn't matter because I've always provided you with what you needed since you were young!"
"Title? As a second wife? I'm not only ashamed of you because you're my father but because you're also greedy! You're greedy for power!", Gu Zhu's voice was full of sarcasm.
"Those humans are lucky to have me as their president! I've helped in ways a human could never do so?", Gu Tangli was getting frustrated.
"I'm not going to argue with you because nothing I say is going to change anything, excuse me!", Gu Zhu walked out calmly.
"Damn it!", Gu Tangli smashed the tea cup beside him angrily.
Gu Zhu grabbed his coat and stepped out of the huge mansion without looking back for even once.
Why did he hate his father so much? That was because his father was a shameless person who cheated on his original wife with his mother.
He, Gu Zhu and his dead sister were only bastard children of a mistress that the world didn't know about.
Gu Zhu walked calmly on the streets ignoring the admiring gazes around him, he was used to it.
He bought a black nose mask and a black cap and entered a cafe.

Little Cherry had just finished filming when Yang Lang chased after her.
"Hey snow eyes there's this cafe nearby with really good drinks, let's disguise ourselves and go out alright?", Yang Lang scratched his head nervously as he spoke.
"Sure! Get out now!", Little Cherry pushed him out and changed her clothes.
Little Cherry wore black pants and top with sneakers, tied her long hair into a ponytail and wore a cap and mask.
The two hid from the crew and stepped out without informing anyone.
Kenbarre was about to go look for Little Cherry when his phone rang.
"What is it?", Kenbarre's voice was cold as usual.
"Big Brother is that how you react when your little sister calls you? I'm heartbroken!", A familiar soft female voice was heard from the other end.
"I'm sorry, do you need something now? I'm busy!", Kenbarre looked around once more but didn't notice Little Cherry.
"Big Brother I'm so heartbroken! There's no one at home, can I come to your workplace?", The soft voice pleaded cutely.
"No! We already talked about this didn't we?"
"Why hide your workplace when I already agreed not to tell mom or dad? It's really unfair!", The little girl's voice sounded sad this time.
"I'll tell you when the time is right okay? I'm busy now so later!", Kenbarre hung up and stood up. When could that girl be? Was she resting somewhere secretly again?
Kenbarre picked his phone and called her.
"Where are you?", Kenbarre asked the moment she picked up.
"Are you worried about me?", Little Cherry teased from the other end of the phone.
"Cut the crap and tell me where you are!"
"Fine I've gone to get some very nice coffee at a cafe, don't worry I'm disguised!"
Little Cherry hung up and chuckled upon seeing how Yang Lang seemed to be upset.
"What's wrong? Why are you suddenly upset with me?", Little Cherry leaned closer with a cheeky smile.
"Gosh can't you see? Those people are interrupting our precious date!", Yang Lang winked at her.
Gu Zhu who was sitting not too far away didn't know why but he felt a bit uneasy hearing Yang Lang's words.
