Synopsis
In a serene village modernized by technology near the ocean, where fishing is the primary occupation, Lucinda, a girl living peacefully with her adopted mother, works at the bakery every day with her best friend, showcasing her talent for baking pastries. One day, a mysterious man with a distinctive scar on his face triggers unsettling memories of a little girl in Lucinda's mind. Soon after, an unexpected accident disrupts the tranquility of her routine.
Fate intervenes as Lucinda crosses paths with someone who holds the key to unraveling the recurring dreams haunting her. Unbeknownst to her and her mother, her case, deemed unsolvable, is reopened by the police department's top officers, who annually tackle cold cases. Lucinda develops a bond with the person in charge of her case, who, having saved her life during an accident, becomes a confidant. Simultaneously, she undergoes therapy and forms a close connection with her therapist, who, despite having a fiancรฉe, falls deeply in love with her.
The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Lucinda, in the midst of hallucinations, nearly drowns, and her therapist, coincidentally present, rescues her. Subsequently, he harbors sinister intentions, plotting to kidnap Lucinda for himself. As events spiral out of control, Lucinda must piece together her fragmented memories, escaping a second kidnapping and confronting an uncertain future.
The story reaches its climax when the police, aided by Lucinda's mother, locate and rescue her, unraveling a major trafficking ring in the process. Lucinda's journey is one of self-discovery, resilience, and the triumph of justice over dark forces.

The author of this story seems to have a vivid understanding of the character's emotions. They set up the environments the characters are in which such a great atmosphere. The dialogue throughout this story was mostly good but sometimes the random interjects of Japanese were off-putting.

A lovely heartwarming novel with a good character description with slight grammatical errors but overall excellent, and the story is slightly fast, but it will only matter a little. I am awaiting further updates.

Good story. Kinda surprised to see only this much views. The chapters would be be better if expressed more in fewer words. For instance, 700 to 750 words are better. Overall, not bad.

I was surprised when I saw this novel, I was expecting something boring but it was not, it is very well written, and you can see the effort the author put in.
The title of the book alone is intriguing but as you read the story it's really good work on the author's part. The flashbacks are vivid and the dialogue is natural for the characters who I believe to be Japanese. The internal struggles of each character unfold in a tasteful way showing the author is really good at pacing. Great work, keep it up!

This is excellent writing. Save for a very few omiitable errors such as saying,"...in her ears", where it would have been more accurate to say, ...on her ears", again a very minor mistake which can go unnoticed and does not take anything away from the immersive well paced build of the story. An all round good job.
The characters feel full of life and character while your description and scene building are also great! The occasional error with grammar but nothing too noteworthy. Great piece of work!

this book was much better than I thought it was going to be it usually is not in my wheelhouse of books that I read but I give the author two thumbs up for a good book so far. I have only read a chapters of this book but it is definitely worth the journey keep up all the good work from what author to another.
