Even with his eyes, he was unable to properly follow Yang Chen's movements causing a great amount of shock inside his heart.

It was truly difficult for him to believe that the other party had practised a battle skill of that grade. It needs to be mentioned that a Sky Grade Battle Skill was something that even their Zhang clan only had a few.

Zhang Bu who had lost all of his composure pounced at Yang Chen intending to tear him apart with his claws but he was met with a sword that came slashing at him.

Although Zhang Bu had flown into a fury, he hadn't lost all reasoning. He at least knew to block the sword slash with one of his claws and he used the other claw to pierce Yang Chen's heart who up until now only had been avoiding his attacks.

Zhang Bu smiled, thinking that he had finally won. However, his smile froze mid way when he heard a dull cracking noise followed by an intense assault of pain. His claw stopped right before it could pierce through his opponent's chest.

The next second, before he could wonder what had transpired, blood spewed out and he saw the world suddenly start to tilt "HUH?!".

THUD… Zhang Bu's body limply fell to the ground after splitting in half. Even until his last moments he was unable to realise what had happened.

[DING… You have committed a mischief…]

Yang chen swung his sword and cleaned the blood stain away from the blade. The unremarkable looking sword in his hand with no uniqueness to it, was in fact the Two Star Flame Expelling sword that he had bought for 2100 mischief points from the shop.

Forget about Zhang Bu who had no defensive gears to protect him and only used his claw made of battle skill to defend himself, even the sturdy Armoured Hog whose hide was as strong as steel was slashed through by this sword.

The sharpness of the two star weapons couldn't be underestimated, this mistake was also what led to Zhang Bu's downfall.

So what if he was stronger than Zhang Wei didn't the latter also die at his hands and that too when he was only at the Seven Star battle apprentice level? Now that Yang Chen was a bonafide Nine Star battle apprentice, Zhang Bu was nothing more than warm up for him before he took on that elder.

Yang Chen nodded his head. Even without the demon warning him, Yang Chen was aware of the large difference between their levels. He could feel a suppression of some sort whenever he glanced towards that middle aged elder who stood still at his place.

This suppression originated from their strength, a Battle Master was on a whole different level than a battle apprentice. Even though Yang Chen had levelled up to a Nine Star Battle Apprentice and there was only a level difference between him and the elder, that difference was very vast than what was shown by their levels on the surface.

Any ordinary nine star battle apprentice wouldn't even think about challenging a battle master, even if they were someone who had newly risen to that class.

The gap was after all that big, it was not just the difference between levels but the quality and quantity of the battle energy within them.

As Amon had explained once, after reaching the battle master level, one is able to practice the secret cultivation technique that allowed one to gather the battle energy from their surrounding and train faster without the need of using the energy gathering pill like Yang Chen was doing right now.

Normally, he wouldn't even think about challenging a battle master on equal grounds. However, he had no choice, he couldn't control these circumstances that had been forced upon him.

That being said, there was no way Yang Chen would willingly submit. Battle master or not, he wasn't going to let anyone stop him from living his life the way he wants this time.

Besides, Yang Chen still had to reveal all of his cards to his opponents. Perhaps it wouldn't be as one sided battle after all.

Zhang Zhan was silent, the members of the Zhang clan didn't dare to make any noise too. However, their open mouth and wide eyes were proof of how shocked they were.

Nobody expected Zhang Bu to be defeated by a slave much less die in his hands. He was after all, the second strongest person in their group, a practioner who had one foot in the battle master realm.

Perhaps if he was given a couple of years more he would have made that transition and become one of the elders of the Zhang clan. However, with his dead, his split in half, that was no longer possible now.
