Lian Bai inquired. "So, anyone got any bright ideas?"
Both Fang Meng and Cheng Hua went silent.
Lian Bai added. "So, it's either us or them."
However, Fang Meng interjected. "We're not even sure if they will keep their promise."
"I agree." Cheng Hua added.
Cheng Hua was a bit bitter about their answer.
Fang Meng suggested. "How about this? One of us can escape and warn the other about the beast and the betrayal of the 'Moon' sect."
Lian Bai couldn't help but ask. "That's a good idea. Then what should the other two do?"
Fang Meng replied. "Hmm! I haven't thought about it."
Sigh!
Cheng Hua made a suggestion. "How about this? One of us should distract the beast while the other one guides the surviving citizens to safety."

Lian Bai asked. "Then who should be the one to escape?"
Then, Cheng Hua recommended Fang Meng. "I think Brother Fang Meng will be the most suitable one. It's evening, so he can easily escape utilizing the 'shadow' element.
Lian Bai agreed as well after thinking for a few minutes.
Cheng Hua volunteered. "I'll distract the beast while you can help with evacuation brother Lian Bai."
Fang Meng and Lian Bai had conflicting feelings. But, they nodded.

A gust of wind flew from the mouth of the abyss.
Cheng Hua dashed 15 kilometers(9.3 miles) in a blink of an eye. The wyvern and his minions were caught off-guard by the human.
The wyvern yelled and took off. "Chase him."
His minions also followed him.
Lian Bai spoke. "They're gone."
'Enshroud'
Fang Meng disappeared into the darkness.
Lian Bai also left the abyss and went in a different direction.

The Wyvern spammed abilities at Cheng Hua while in a chase.
Cheng Hua dodged the abilities nimbly.
'Gale'
All of a sudden, the wyvern appeared in front of Cheng Hua.
'Gravitational Field'
"What the hell?"
Suddenly, the gravity within 500 meters increased. As a result, his body weight increased by fifteen folds causing his body to plummet incredibly fast.
Augggghhh!
He tried to resist the effect but it was to no avail. He could barely even move an inch, forget about running away.
Boom!
His body crashed, forming a crater at the area of impact.
The wyvern mocked. "Did you think you could escape from me?"

Cheng Hua started laughing while slowly stretching his hands into his pocket.
The Wyvern was surprised by his attitude and asked. "You are about to die, yet you are laughing about it?"
Cheng Hua replied. "Once a beast, always a beast no matter the strength."
"You dare insult me?"

The Wyvern released a flurry of attacks on him.
Cheng Hua was locked on the ground, so he was unable to dodge them.

He let out a groan.
The wyvern mocked him. "Not so funny now huh?"
Hehe!
A chuckle left Cheng Hua's mouth.
"You..."
The Wyvern was enraged-launching even more attacks.
But, before the attack could land on him, he took out a red pill and ate it.
Suddenly, his strength skyrocketed. He was originally a mid-dominion realm cultivator, but now he was at the peak-dominion realm.
He escaped the gravity restraint forcefully and was able to fully move his body.
"Not so fast."
The wyvern increased the strength of the gravity by 10x.
Ughh!
Despite his strength boost, he was pinned to the ground again.
"Now die."
'Ice Arrow'
A giant arrow made its way down. Normally, ice arrows weren't known for their speed. However, due to the gravitational field-its speed had increased by 25x.
Cheng Hua could perceive the ice arrows speeding toward him.
He muttered. "I hope both of you can live."
'Self-destruct'
Suddenly, his body started swelling.
Boom!
Finally, the body could no longer endure and exploded-releasing massive energy.
'Ice Coffin'
The wyvern subdued the explosion easily.
"That leaves two remaining."
The wyvern took off.

Thirty minutes earlier, Abyss
Lian Bai headed toward the 'Dryvein' sect after Fang Meng left.
He arrived at the sect 15 minutes later, and he was greeted by a scene from a disaster movie.
Half of the sect had been swallowed by the abyss, killing 30% of the populous instantly.
On the bright side, the fissures restricted the movement of the beasts and the soldiers-enabling only the flying beasts and the dominion realm cultivators to roam freely.
The attack interval from the beasts had dropped significantly. However, the attacks were more perilous than before, because of the dominion realm cultivator.
Lian Bai roared. "Guo Minnnnnnnnnn"
Guo Min glanced in the direction of the sound and saw Lian Bai.
"Oh shit."
He fled the scene immediately.
Lian Bai was about to chase him. Suddenly, he heard the screams of the citizens.
'Ice Domain'
He froze the beasts and enemy soldiers on the spot.
"Everyone, retreat."
His voice reverberated throughout the sect.
Soon, the sect became lively.
The cultivators started helping average citizens to traverse the terrain. The evacuation kicked gears fast, but it was not fast enough.

15 minutes later
Lian Bai was busy evacuating the citizens. Suddenly, he heard a sound.
Screechhhhhh!
Lian Bai cursed. "Dammit. I haven't even evacuated 20% of the population."
He was sure of his death, so he focused on distracting the wyvern.
"I have to buy some time."
'Fire Domain'
He tried to slow down the wyvern. But, it went as he had expected.
He canceled the previous domain and used the 'Ice Domain'.
The wyvern snickered. "Childish"
'Ice Coffin'
He was frozen in an instant.
'Lightning Bolt'
His frozen body was struck by lightning and disintegrated.
Then, the beast soared to look for Fang Meng. However, it could not find him.
"One rat managed to escape. It matters not. I'll finish everyone here instead."
'Dual-Domain'
Lightning and ice rained over the citizens below.
The wyvern had managed to eliminate 90% of the population by the end of the second night and returned. Only the 10% population who fled first were left alive.

A month later, Flammog Sect
Fang Meng arrived at the 'Flammog Sect'.
He was stopped at the gate but was let go after clearing his identity. He went to the sect hall quickly. There, he came across three sect leaders, Kong Ming - Flammog sect leader, Lu Bao - Skylake sect leader, and Xue Tai - White wall sect leader.
Kong Ming asked. "So, what brings you here brother Fang?"
Fang Meng started detailing the events.
Their eyes had fully widened by the end.
They muttered. "A dual domain, the betrayal of Guo Min, and a possible higher realm?"
Lu Bao couldn't help but ask. "Are sure about this brother?"
Fang Meng yelled. "I know what I saw. Lian Bai and Chen Hua sacrificed their lives so I could deliver this news."
Xue Tai suggested. "Then, we should inform the alliance and other sects."
But, Fang Meng interjected. "We should all leave, and gather around the three alliances. Otherwise, they will pick us one by one."
The three sect leaders were still hesitant. But, Fang Meng's next sentence jolted their mind.
"Remember, the 'Dryvein' sect, 'Thunder' sect, and 'Sunfan' sect are no more."
"Alright, we'll give the order to migrate to the central region."
The trio agreed vehemently.
"Very well. I'll go to the 'Lion' sect next. I wish you a safe journey."
Fang Meng took off.
Xue Tai asked. "Do you think he is telling the truth?"
Kong Ming said. "He has no reason to lie, and you could see the bitterness in his eyes."
"Let's go."
The trio left the sect hall and made an announcement immediately. It caused an uproar at first, but it died down after finding out the people behind the announcement.

A month later, Lion Sect
Fang Meng arrived at the lion sect.
Unlike others, the lion sect had formed temporary alliances with three other sects, the phoenix sect, the dragon sect, and the bat sect.
Their sect leaders were Quan Hou - the 'Lion' sect leader, Zen Yi - the 'Phoenix' sect leader, Yin Lan - the 'Dragon' sect, and Hong Jia -the 'Bat' sect leader.
Fang Meng detailed the events.
At first, they were skeptical about the event, but Fang Meng's mention of the destruction of sects and the death of sect leaders convinced them to some degree.
Fang Meng had to bring up about migration of the 'Flammog' sect and others for them to persuade to migrate to the central region.

Five Months later, Fiery Highlands
There was a man at the 20-meter mark. A second later, he vanished and appeared 20 meters behind.
"I'm getting so close. But, the temperature is getting too hot to bear even for me."
The temperature at the outer core of the earth is around between 4,500° and 5,500° Celsius (8,132° and 9,932° Fahrenheit). The temperature at the 20-meter mark was around 4,300° Celsius(7,772° Fahrenheit).
Hell, right now he could even stand at the center of the 'energy burst' and make it in one piece minus the shockwave and soundwave.
Of course, the catch is if he limits his strength to the entry-evolution realm while using 'energy burst'.
He also checked for mastery. To his surprise, his 'regeneration', and 'moon storm' abilities were at the advanced level mastery.
He opened the fusion function immediately.
"System fuse 'Regeneration' and 'Mend Life'. I hope something good comes out, fingers crossed."

Ability 2: Mend Life - heals fatal injuries, can regrow body parts except for brain - can be used once every 3 days, consumes 80% of the Qi
"Holy Shit. I couldn't ask for anything better. It even reduced the cooldown of the 'mend life'."
"You are the best system." He was elated by the new skill.
The system replied. "You are welcome."
He checked the ability multiple times to make sure there was no error in the details. Suddenly, his eyes glued on the word 'Quasi-Myth'.
He asked. "System, what does the 'Quasi-Myth' mean?"
The system stated. "Myth-level abilities are unlocked when the system reaches level 4. So, 'Quasi-Myth' means halfway into the myth. But, it is the limit unless you unlock the level 4 system."
He asked. "Myth abilities. Are those the abilities of the mythical beasts?"
The system replied. "You'll know when you unlock it."
He inquired. "How do I level up the system?"
However, the system gave a vague answer. "You'll know when the time comes."
