Chapter 63: Miniature Mia

Mia was so excited to ride an elevator for the first time. At first, she was scared when it started moving. She had to curl her fists around her mother's dress. But a few seconds later, she became fine.

She didn't even need her grandmother's comforting words to slowly let go of her mother's dress and enjoy the ride. Her little face was full of smiles.

As this was a new experience for Mia, Elena kept her watchful eyes on her. She took in all of her facial expressions and reactions with an equal smile on her face.

'Ding!'

The sound went off from the elevator the same moment the doors opened. Elena took Mia's hand and led her out as her mother and two of the building's caretakers who met them on the ground floor, rolled their luggage after them.

Getting to her door, Elena placed her index finger on the scanner to open the door. It was the fastest way to open it.
