'It seems my lucky stars are shining on me tonight' These were one of the many thought speeding through my head as i looked at this pale blue panel, hovering in front of me.
The panel glowed with an almost ethereal light, making it impossible to miss. But one thing that i did notice, was that the panel did not cast of any light. As i looked pass the panel, towards the ground, it seemed as if the panel did not even exist.
There was no blue illumination on the ground, or even the branches of the trees surrounding me and the fire. With a light this bright, by all right, there should have been some sort of cast off, but yet there wasn't. My scientific part of my brain told me that this should be impossible, yet then again, a floating blue panel materializing from thin air isn't exactly scientific either.
There isn't any scientific explanation for this phenomenon, and there sure as hell aint any logical one.
There can only be one explanation, "FAIRY GOD PARENTS!" Saying that i started to crack up. After a moment of laughter, probably sounding like a maniac, i focus back to the panel in front of me. 'Eh, what the hell, ive got nothing to lose'
"first name, Bryce" as i speak, the letters in the first column begin to change. Now deciding my house name, that would be a little harder. I couldn't exactly just use my previous life's last name. I have the feeling 'Smith' would have absolutely no draw to it in these medieval times.
So with 'Smith' out the window, i started to consider a few awsome house names i could use. There were many famous houses in Westeros, good and bad, but their names were well known. I figure that if my house did become known, i wouldn't want it to be something stupid like House Boggs. (its real search it up)
'Well its the Httyd system, which i am super stoked about. That must mean something to do with dragons'
After a few minutes of thinking and carefully considering my options, i speak out to the system. "My House name is Emberwood" the letter begin to fill in the second column and im left staring at the last column.
'Password, why would i need one?' I ask myself, but then just figure 'what the hell' i speak out loud, "Dragons4life"

Briefly reviewing i say, "Yes" The blue panel flash white for a second and what appears to be a status window with multiple tabs, replaces the previous words.

Another tab said [Inventory] which i figured was exactly what the name implied and another tab said [Engineering] but the tab was grayed out and seemed inaccessible for the moment. The last tab however was what interested me the most. It read [Wheel of fortune] and i hastily went to the tab.

'Not gonna lie i thought it would look cooler' i thought as i browsed the page. A thought that perplexed me however was how i would gain tickets? Since there was no harm in trying i asked the panel.
"How do i gain tickets for the wheel of fortune?" I asked the panel calmly. A window appeared on the panel which said, [Please refer to announcements, any questions will be answered shortly]
"What are you?" I ask again, and once again the system responded, [Please refer to announcements, any questions will be answered shortly]
Every question i asked afterwards it responded the same. It seems that my system was not sentient, or it was deliberately fucking with me. I highly doubt it was the latter so i just change to the status pageAnd clicked on the [Announcements] icon.
The page flashed again and a letter/briefing, opened in front of me.

[Dear Bryce,
Hope this letter finds you well, my child. I wanted to talk to you about your unexpected journey to Westeros after your untimely demise by the unfortunate encounter with that rogue truck. First things first, my apologies for any inconvenience or confusion caused. My relaxed character sometimes leads to unforeseen consequences. You probably saw this after i made Kevin Heart short and good with jokes. Hilarious, i know right.
Anyways you see, I had a moment of whimsy and thought, "Why not send Bryce on a new adventure in the world of Westeros after his death?" It's a realm filled with excitement and challenges, and I knew you could handle it. But, as it turns out, the timing was a bit off, and you met with an unfortunate end.
Now, I know you may have some questions, and I want to assure you that I take full responsibility for my decision. As the Almighty, I sometimes get carried away with my creative ideas and forget to consider all the implications. I apologize for any distress or inconvenience this may have caused you or your loved ones.
But fret not, Bryce, for I have a plan. Your journey in Westeros will be unlike anything you've experienced before. You'll have the chance to interact with fascinating characters, explore new lands, and even ride dragons if you're up for it! Embrace the adventure with an open heart, and make the most of this unique opportunity.
Remember, my child, that life is unpredictable, and sometimes we are thrown into unexpected situations. It's how we respond to them that defines our character. So, relax, enjoy the journey, and make the best of your time in Westeros.
As always, I'll be keeping an eye on you and sending you my guidance and blessings along the way. Don't just keep waiting for them though, and most certainly don't have your life rely on them since ill be sending them when i see fit. 'Well that was….Cliche' My face goes through a range of emotions as I process what i just read. On one hand im extremely terrified of this world and all the many, many dangers that are waiting for me. On the other hand I'm kinda exited about the idea of flying dragons, and I'm determined to at least compete in one tourney.
With that in mind and trying to keep myself from laughing at the absurdity of opening a pdf file in medieval times, i click on the link named "System101"
The file opens into its own page with the title reading "A Hitchhikers Guide to Httyd System"

SUMMONING LEVELS:
(Dragons are summoned with neutral affinity with only host, may be more friendly depending on species)
- Level 1: Can summon small, non-aggressive dragons such as Terrible Terrors or Smothering Smokebreaths.
- Level 2: Can summon medium-sized, less aggressive dragons such as Deadly Nadders or Gronckles.
- Level 3: Can summon larger, more aggressive dragons such as Monstrous Nightmares or Skrills.
-Level 4: Can summon Titan-wing dragons, such as Behwilderbeast, red death and gaurdian of the forest.
SPECIALTY SUMMONS:
(Dragons trained to fulfill specific purpose's. Can be trained by host and then added to shop)
TERRIBLE TERROR:
-BLACK OPS TERROR(15 SP)
Trained to carry out assassinations on specific target using poisons or other methods, using scent
-TERROR MAIL(5 SP)
Trained to carry messages or small parcels over long distances. Tracks receiver based on scents(Needs item with recipients scent to track)
-RECON TERROR(10 SP)
Trained to be sent on reconnaissance missions, and are masters of camouflage (imagine Terrible terror with cammo paint on it).
WHEEL OF FORTUNE:
-Uses tickets to spin the wheel for either:
-Dragon*1
-Item*1(common)
-Resources*1
-Blueprint*1
-Physical Modification*1(very rare)
-Clothes*1
-Structures*1(Grow to size upon being placed in position)
HOW TO GET TICKETS:
-Can be earned through quests
-Can be earned by saving characters who died tragically
-Awarded through accomplishments
BEFRIENDING TECHNIQUES:
- Dragon Food: Some dragons can be bribed with food. Offering a dragon its favorite treat can help befriend it.
FACTORING INTO SUMMONING:
-Corresponding levels are needed to summon a dragon species.
-Host can summon the dragon using summoning points.
- Higher level dragons need higher Summoning levels
HOW TO GET SUMMONING POINTS:
-Can be earned through quests
-Can be earned by saving characters who died tragically
-Awarded through accomplishments
-Encountering important characters from the Show
ENGINEERING (gift):
-Engineering tab acts as design table
-Host can design engineering feats on the system panel. Blueprints are then created. (SP determined on complexity and size)
BLUEPRINTS:
-Password is needed to open blueprints irl
-Blueprints show amount of resources needed and quickest and easiest steps to complete blueprints.
-Blueprints act as a fast pass to building, hastening completion time tremendously (Castle in a few weeks)

After reading through that absolute information dump of a pdf, i move to the inventory tab, where i note an ornate little wooden crate waiting for me.
