Chapter 13: Chapter 12.
*The next day*
Nathaniel could currently be seen making his way through the halls of S.T.A.R. Labs and headed for the cortex of the lab as that was where he could the people working there.
'The lab is under reconstruction as most of it was destroyed by the explosion. I still can't think of a reason why he would do all this.'
While on his way towards the cortex, Nathaniel had glimpses of some of the destroyed facilities in the lab and the structure of the lab from the outside when he was coming. After doing some heavy thinking about whether or not Harrison was a speedster, he couldn't come up with a reason why he would do all that he has done if he was a speedster.
"Who are you and what are you doing down here?"
Just as Nathaniel stepped foot into the cortex of the lab he was stopped by the cautious voice of someone that came from his left. Nathaniel instinctively turned around and faced the person upon hearing the voice but he relaxed when he saw who it was.
The person was a man with long black curly hair, he was a little shorter than who was 180cm tall and was pointing what Nathanial knew was a fake gun at him. The reason Nathanial relaxed upon seeing him was that he knew who it was from some investigation that he did about the employees of S.T.A.R. Labs and his name is Cisco Ramon.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to invade. My name is Nathaniel Henry Allen and I'm here to see my brother."
Nathaniel explained to Cisco why he was there and also told him his name.
"Oh! You are lightning boy..."
Cisco became surprised when he heard Nathaniel's name and subconsciously blurted out a nickname he came up with after he heard that Nathaniel was also struck by lightning and survived without any abnormalities like his brother.
"Lightning boy?!"
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow upon hearing that name which made Cisco realize his mistake and quickly apologized for it.
"Sorry, it's a hobby. Anyway, I'm Cisco Ramon and I can show you where your brother is so just follow me."
Nathaniel quietly followed behind Cisco as they went to the treatment area where he saw Barry laying on a bed with an EKG machine connected to him and there was a brown-haired woman standing beside the machine taking notes. Nathaniel quickly recognized the woman as Caitlin Snow.
"Hey, Cait. We have a visitor."
Cisco called out to Caitlin when they entered the treatment area which made her turn around and faced them and became surprised when she saw Nathaniel.
"Nathaniel, What are you doing here?"
"Wait, you know him already?!"
"Yeah, he is my neighbour. Anyway, what are you doing... Oh! You came to visit your brother."
"Can I go see him?"
"Yes, yes you can."
Nathaniel left Cisco and Caitlin who came out of the room after she realized that Nathaniel was there and he entered the room where Barry was. He took glances at every single medical machine that was connected to him to see their reading before moving closer to Barry's bed.
There are two reasons why Nathaniel visited today. The first one was to see his brother and the second one was to confirm if Barry has the speed force energy inside him. Since Nathaniel is the avatar and host of the speed force, he could feel the energy of the speed force present in other person but to do that he has to come into contact with the person.
Yesterday after his session with the girls was over and while he was eating, he asked the system to tell him the identities of the other people connected to the speed force but her answer was no.
Anyway, Nathaniel took a set beside Barry's bed and took hold of his hand. The moment their hands came into contact with each other, Nathaniel's eyes glowed in white for a brief second and so was Barry who open his eyes with a yellow glow for a spilt second before closing them again.
'So Barry indeed is the is the speedster in red. On that night the black speedster wanted to kill me, he was after me and not our mother so he must have followed us outside when my future self took me out of the house leaving Barry and dad with future Barry and the man in yellow but after future Barry took younger Barry outside he left which also means the man in yellow was also after Barry and must have killed our mother as an act of revenge for missing his target... Now I'm back to my biggest question, which of the two is Harrison Wells and why did any of them want to kill us? Why did he take Barry and didn't take me too?'
Nathaniel fell into deep thought after he confirmed some of his guesses and also new questions emerged from his guesses adding to the old unanswered questions.
'System, how long will it take until Barry wakes up from his comatose state.'
[DING: Approximately six months from now.]
'Well, Barry. It seems like you are gonna be gone for a while.'
Nathaniel spend the next thirty minutes doing but just sitting beside Barry until he was ready to go so he got up from the chair and said his goodbyes to Barry before leaving the treatment room but just as he came out, he was met with Cisco.
"So how did it feel being struck by lightning and also how long have you known Caitlin?"
The first question that came out of Cisco's mouth made Nathaniel raise an eyebrow but the second question made him even more confused. Nathaniel turned his head to Caitlin who was standing on Cisco's left only to see her looking down at her feet with a curious look on her face. It was like she also wanted to know how it felt to be struck by lightning.
"Well, it was very painful yet energizing. I felt my body being overloaded with power then it went away a second after I lost consciousness."
Nathaniel didn't mind telling them how it felt when was struck by the lightning so he told them. While telling them Nathaniel noticed a glow in Caitlin's eyes while staring at him as if he was some kind of a rare specimen.
Nathaniel kinda understood her thought process because the lightning that struck him that night wasn't a normal lightning bolt. After all, that lightning contained in it was hundreds of thousands of electric volts that could have burnt a fully grown elephant to a crisp in mere seconds yet he survived. Even though people didn't know how much energy the lightning contained, Nathaniel became very fascinated at himself when the system told him how much energy that it required for its awakening.
"It kinda amazing how you are already awake and walking about like nothing has happened while your brother is still sleeping."
While Nathaniel and Cisco were talking, they were suddenly interrupted by the voice of another person who Nathaniel recognized immediately upon hearing the voice.
He turn around and saw Harrison Wells sitting in a wheelchair while strolling towards them.
"Hello, Mr Allen. I'm Dr. Harrison Wells."
Wells introduced himself when he noticed Nathaniel and the others looking at him before turning around to look at Barry.
"It's amazing that you both were struck by lightning almost at the same time yet one wakes up earlier than the other."
A smile appeared on Well's face as he said that but Nathaniel could tell that he wanted to get some reaction from him with what he said so he didn't give a reaction and just looked at Wells.
"Well, I'm physically stronger than Barry so maybe that's why I was able to wake up early because my body was able to resist the lightning better than Barry's."
Nathaniel calmly said but to Wells before turning around to Cisco and Caitlin. What Nathaniel said was right as before he was struck by the lightning he peak-human due to his journey with Constantine because if he wanted to survive a fight against a demon then he had to be strong and the speed force doubled that power when he awakened the system.
"I will have loved to talk to you guys more but I have somewhere to be so I will see you two tomorrow and you too, Dr Wells."
Nathaniel bid his farewell to the gang before leaving S.T.A.R. Labs and headed out for his house.

DING! DING!!
"Huh?!"
While Nathaniel was walking down the streets of Central City, the lightning symbol on the bracelet on his hand started sounding alarms and blinking with light. Nathaniel was confused but he found an alleyway and entered before clicking on the lightning symbol to stop the alarm but something else happened.
["Hello, Nathaniel Henry Allen. I'm Alexia, your personal assistant and A.I of your suit."]
"What?!"
