[Complete Rebirth]
❂❂❂
With these words, I slowly opened my eyes. In front of me was a vast forest. Trees rose as far as the eye could see, the ground was of a soil that seemed never to have been stepped on, and the air was refreshing.
Beside me, a large blue orb was floating just a few inches away, but I realized that I still didn't have a body. I was a shapeless mass of energy, wandering in the middle of nowhere.
For some reason, I didn't feel nervous or wonder how I ended up in this situation; the only thing I felt was an unusual attraction towards the orb. I approached it, and a voice sounded.
❂❂❂
[Congratulations! You have received the extremely rare chance to be reborn]
[Choose a race to acquire a body]
[Upon completion of the process, some information will be directly sent to your mind]
❂❂❂
A gigantic list appeared in front of my eyes. There were billions of different races, a number so vast it gave me a headache.
Let's filter this a bit...
Only intelligent and bipedal races.
The number decreased from billions to thousands, but there were still too many races to simply accept. I continued to filter through the countless species until I arrived at a hundred of them, and then I began to choose.
I quickly passed by a race that caught my attention because I recognized it from the game Vangloria.
❂❂❂
Race: Oni | Rarity: Uncommon | Emblem: Demonic
❂❂❂
I thought I wanted to discover more information about it, and to my surprise, another screen with details appeared.
❂❂❂
[Information]
Race: Oni | Level 1
Rarity: Uncommon | Grade 1
Demonic Emblem
[Base Statistics]
Strength: 9 | Speed: 6 | Stamina: 9
Dexterity: 5 | Intelligence: 6 | Mana: 1
❂❂❂
In addition to a statistics screen, there was also a male and female tridimensional model with the appearance of the Oni and a brief description of the species.
They were tall monsters with great regeneration, but low magical capacity, and their population only lived in the East.
I continued to search among the various races, but nothing caught my attention until I found Elves: average statistics, a long lifespan, good talent with wind and water magic, but apparently they were persecuted by other species.
There were Vampires who had the ability to create familiars, were practically immortal, had very high magical talent, but also had too many weaknesses.
Dark Elves, Orcs, Semi-Humans, even Angels and Superior Demons; the list was full of them. Finally, I reached the last item on the list: Humans.
They were the average of all races. They had a relatively short lifespan, were average in magical talent, manual skills, and didn't have well-defined weaknesses, although they were affected by almost anything. Furthermore, they had the largest population in the place where I was.
However, I didn't find it interesting to be a human. I've already lived as one my entire life, and even in Vangloria, only human beings were allowed as a race.
I would like to create my own race...
❂❂❂
[It's possible to create your own race, but there are substantial risks in the process]
❂❂❂
I was startled, but I remained firm. This was a perfect opportunity, and despite the risks, I wouldn't give up on it.
"I want to create my own race!"
The blue orb shone brightly, consuming everything around me in light. Suddenly, I found myself in a completely white space, and in front of me was a three-dimensional model.
❂❂❂
[Use this model to shape your body, using characteristics from other races]
[Warning! The characteristics may end up fighting each other and may end up destroying the user's new body; if this happens, you will die!]
❂❂❂
I took a deep breath, but decided to continue moving forward. I put my hand into the model and began the creation process.
First, I defined the base of my body, the heart. In Vangloria, the heart was the most important area of the body, as magic was concentrated there. Many monsters had Magic Stones in place of their hearts.
And among them, the creature with the most powerful heart, made of pure magic, were the Dragons. I fitted the heart into its proper place and continued the process.
I modeled my entire body to be slender and strong, never liking too much muscle, so the minimum was acceptable, also because it hardly mattered.
I created good proportions and defined well. It was a quick process, but for some reason, I couldn't create my own face. I believe that will be defined based on the characteristics I add.
With the model complete, I began to add the main characteristics of my body. To get a good magical talent, I took some Mana Cores from each base element: fire, water, earth, wind, light, and darkness. I didn't take advanced elements. It could result in an overload, and the basics would suffice.
Werewolves were perfect for my body to have good regeneration. Resilient defense was also necessary, so I looked to the Orcs.
Dark Elves were perfect for combat. Their ability to hide and their dexterity was surprising. I also took characteristics from their counterpart, the Elves; their natural talent and mastery over spiritual magic was amazing.
Then came the Vampires. Almost limitless vitality, eyes capable of seeing in the dark, an intelligence almost cold and methodical. They were great.
I also took characteristics from the dwarves, for their exquisite forging techniques and their mastery over fire. From the Tritons, I only took the ability to breathe underwater.
Finally, to define my external appearance, I needed a strong base, so I chose three races to balance: Demons, Angels, and Humans.
Power, will, balance.
As soon as I fit the last characteristic, the three-dimensional model began to take shape, but it also began to change.
A golden color invaded one of my eyes, and the other was consumed by a blood crimson.
The skin became white and a little pale. A pair of red horns sprouted from the corner of my head. They were large, having a dark brown color.
My ears grew sharp, small gills appeared just below my neck near my shoulder, but were hardly noticeable.
I received a double dental arch that was hidden, but could overlap with the other teeth, becoming a sharp weapon.
A long tail grew from the base of my spine, with a black color and no fur that extended to a dragon-scale covered sharp tip. It was like a spear.
Finally, some scales appeared in different parts of my body protecting fragile areas, and a magnificent pair of wings sprouted from my back.
One shimmered in a sanctified and glorious aura, with white feathers that shone. The other seemed to suck all light, emitting a black energy of deep darkness.
All the hair on my body darkened to the darkest black, and finally it was complete. That three-dimensional model suddenly stopped being just a model.
With each rhythmic beat of my heart, the forces that were trying to fight each other calmed down until a magic circle formed near my chest and different energies flowed through it.
My skin became elastic and soft. My senses were heightened. My vitality was strong. I had never felt this way before.
When I blinked, I stopped seeing the model from the outside. Now it was me. The body was mine.
A mirror appeared in front of me and I could see the beautiful boy standing there. A face as charming as the devil. Next to me was a set of black clothes.
{Mc image}
I quickly put them on. They fit perfectly and, as if to signal that everything was okay, a message played.
❂❂❂
[Congratulations! New race created]
[Please! Name the new race]
❂❂❂
Some names passed through my mind, but only one matched what I truly was.
I adopted characteristics, traits, strengths, and genes from each of those races into my body. Pure miscegenation.
A creature; a being of biblical proportions.
Biblical proportions...
— Superior Nephilim.
❂❂❂
The new race will be known as "Superior Nephilim" and will be one of the possible evolutions for the "Nephilim" race.
❂❂❂
The white space disappeared along with the mirror and I returned to the dark forest. There, I was facing the blue orb and I touched it.
Soon, a flood of information was thrown into my head.
As I suspected, this was another world with a system almost identical to Vangloria's. There were some substantial differences that I would only discover for myself, but in essence, it was all very similar.
My willpower, combined with the fact that I died inside the system capsule, brought my consciousness to this place.
Currently, I am in a relatively safe forest in an unknown place in this world.
It seems that fate smiled upon me. I ended up receiving a second chance and, most importantly, brought things from the other world with me; including my class.
I put my hand on the blue orb, which was actually the Dungeon Core, and, one letter at a time, deeply engraved my name in mana.
❂❂❂
Kayn
❂❂❂
My name flashed in a strong blue, disappeared inside the orb, and then I felt a strong connection linking me to it.
It was done!
A screen appeared in front of my eyes:
❂❂❂
[Information]
Name: Kayn
Race: Superior Nephilim | Level 1
Rarity: Unique | Grade 1
Class: Dungeon Master | Unknown Emblem
[Stats]
Strength: 10 | Speed: 10 | Endurance: 10
Dexterity: 10 | Intelligence: 15 | Mana: 30
❂❂❂
This screen showed information about me and also the statistics.
Strength defined my raw power, basically the amount of damage I would cause with physical attacks.
Speed increased the constancy of my attacks, acceleration capacity, and speed by itself.
Endurance was my resistance and vitality.
Dexterity dealt with my senses and instincts; helped me react faster and also improved my motor skills.
Intelligence improved my memorization, reasoning, learning ability, and increased the power of spells.
Mana, the highest statistic, was basically the amount of mana, the energy that inhabited everything, and that I had access to.
However, other things caught my attention.
There were some functions missing, but I had four currently released.
Information | Stats | Abilities | Achievements
Achievements were completely empty, but there were already some abilities.
[Abilities]
[Active]
Tame | Domination
[Passive]
Calm Mind
[Special]
Dungeon Creation
❂❂❂❂❂❂
I was surprised to see that the Dungeon Creation skill was at its maximum level. Mastering a common skill took years, and that was not just any common skill.
Even in my previous life, I never came close to reaching the maximum level. However, it wasn't just that.
Taming and Domination were already familiar to me, but I had never seen the Serene Mind skill before. I made a gesture to try and learn more, and a screen appeared.
❂❂❂
[Skill]
Name: Serene Mind
Type: Passive
Rarity: Rare | Level 1
❂❂❂
Along with this, some basic information about how the skill worked came up. It said that it kept the user's mind stable, increasing resistance against illusions and mental attacks.
There wasn't much other information about it.
Finally, I faced the jumble of symbols. That was a complete mystery.
"What is this?" I asked.
I tried to focus my consciousness, access additional information, but nothing happened.
"Am I too weak, or is it simply sealed?" I sighed a little disappointed. To make sure nothing had changed, I looked at my other skills.
❂❂❂
[Skill]
Name: Taming
Type: Active
Rarity: Rare | Level 1
❂❂❂
[Skill]
Name: Domination
Type: Active
Rarity: Rare | Level 1
❂❂❂
[Skill]
Name: Dungeon Creation
Type: Special
Rarity: Legendary | Max Level
❂❂❂
They were just as I remembered them. The first two abilities helped me in my role as Dungeon Master.
As their names indicated, one was used to tame foreign monsters and the other to impose order on the dungeon's monsters.
However, the main ability was still Dungeon Creation. It allowed me to do whatever I pleased with the help of the core and in exchange for points.
I could modify floors, create monsters, change even the very physics and logic within my domain. As long as I had enough points and power, I could be a god.
For some reason, even at the maximum level, some functions were still locked.
Could it be because I haven't created the dungeon yet?
In my previous life, Dungeon Creation only reached level 6. Another notable change was the degree of Rarity and Power.
Skills, Spells, Classes, Achievements, and Information; everything was classified on a basis that ranged from power to rarity. Of course, monsters were more complex, so they were classified similarly, but not quite the same.
This classification was divided into several ranks.
Common | Uncommon | Rare
Special | Heroic | Epic
Legendary | Historical | Ancestral
| Mythological |
• Unique •
The highest was clearly Unique. For something to have such a classification, it not only had to exist only once, but it had to be seen by the system as something irreplicable.
Something so wonderful, brilliant, and resplendent, and of such unequalled power, that only the gods could dare to handle, possess, or create.
That's why everything in this degree of Rarity is named after a god...
It was like this in glory. There was only one Unique item known to a few players. Even I, the most powerful, didn't dare touch it.
— The Anubis Scepter...
Its information was unknown to the general public and, for the most powerful, only a few words were given.
Of course, it was all game advertising and maybe it wasn't even a real usable item. It was more like the game's lore.
Dead players were reborn after some time of restriction. They all appeared in one of the dozens of churches in the region.
Most thought it was because of the game itself, but they were wrong.
— The Anubis Scepter revives the fallen.
An item of such power that it could bring the dead back to life. It was something that even I didn't dare to have—at least not with the strength I had at that time.
Facing gods wasn't my forte.
Now my race was also classified as Unique. I knew that by mixing so many races, I would get something special, but I never imagined such power.
However, not everything was positive. The rarity of my Dungeon Creation ability decreased twice. It went from Ancestral to Legendary.
A deliberate sigh escaped my lips.
I had very little information and there were many mysteries. I would probably be in a panic, in fact, I don't know why I'm not.
There was only one option: the Serene Mind ability. Maybe it was because of it that I was so calm, but I liked to think it was because of my own merit.
Yeah... I really reincarnated into another world.
Before anything else, I needed to understand my state a little, ensuring my survival was a priority. Then, I would think of a way to learn more about this world and discover its dangers.
Finally... an illogical desire, perhaps a crazy thought... but dominating a real world might be more fun than a virtual one.
— Hahaha! — I laughed at myself. — Just craziness.
Or maybe it wasn't.
I was in this unknown place, with a system similar to that of glory, in a world of swords and magic, but nothing seemed to shake me.
I could get lost in thoughts for hours, but standing still in this place, dwelling on my unhappy condition, would not lead me anywhere.
I looked at the blue orb floating in front of me.
"It's time to create my Dungeon!"
