Going back the way he came, following the path the Lava Python created, but this time around, he encountered alot of wild beasts.
Thinking maybe because the Lava Python aura was no more, the beast in the area regained their confidence and started roaming the area.
Strangest of all, the wild beast he encountered were mostly snake type beast with salivating face features, which made them look kind of funny.
Or maybe he stepped into a snake den.
Luckily there weren't any high rank beast around here, so the harvest was quite bountiful.
After killing 3 mid levels wild beast and a few low ranks, who didn't know their place and attacked him.
Apart from the python he killed earlier, Eric killed up to 8 more wild beast.
Although this could be sold for an extremely high price, it won't be able to afford what he planned....( that is judging by the market price of the wild rabbit he sold in the black market )
Eric was bothered since he couldn't just go to the Mystic Guild and expose that he alone just killed a vicious level beast, thinking, the Lava Python had been lying cold in the storage space for the past hours.
Eric soon arrived at the outer part of the forest, the place the Lava Python breathed it's last breath, staring at the still devastated site before him, with smashed trees, filled with scorched marks.
Wondering why the flames the Lava Python spurted on the sorrounding trees, hadn't spread out the whole forest, instead it had been quenched.

During the evolution period, even the trees and different types of vegetations had evolved.
Deep into the wild, beyond the frontier battle field. Some trees and special vegetations evolved into demonic spirits.
As they gained sentient and could move around.
The later was only possible after becoming an extremely high rank demonic spirits by devouring countless creatures and human.
This traits of theirs made them fearsome among both man and beast species, there was even a rumour that a demonic spirit emperor resided deep in the wilderness.
Although fire and lighting elements were their nemesis. They had an extremely strong vitality as plants variants.
So even though the trees around Eric aren't demon spirits, they also evolved and were no more like ordinary trees on Earth.
Even if the Lava Python flames was terrifying, due to their vitality, flames without source couldn't destroy them, unless the attack power of the Lava Python was solely concentrated on the trees, it couldn't be armed by ordinary flames, just like you can't set water on fire.

But before he could make up his mind to leave this place, he heard the clamoring of a group of people walking towards his direction.
Hey cap, wasn't that girl dope? the rest laughed.
What are you saying, better shut up and not annoy the captain
"Captain wouldn't really mind right? isn't she just a girl"
"I can't forget her scream, she also seems to enjoy it" another said
"Next time we'll catch a more beautiful one for you cap" the black guy said as he bumped hands with the guy beside him
"Ehn ehn ehn , you guys should calm down, who doesn't know the flame scion squad , wouldn't they run when they see us next time?"
"If you guys aren't quiet , am afraid we'll attract those beast here" the man called captain smiled meanly
" Eh eh , what do we have here " man called captain said as he strode towards Eric
'Ah! , what a lucky day, we found a prey immidiately after entering this damned forest he also seems to be a newbie"
"Hah hah hah hahaha"
They all laughed, staring at Eric greedily like a pack of wolves looking at a sheep.
Eric frowned hearing their discussion, while they walked towards him, but his expression quickly returned to his normal cold look.
"Hey kid what are you holding" the captain man stared at Eric like a master commanding his slave
Eric coldly glanced at them without uttering a single word, as he continued staring at them.
"Seems some people are so stupid, that after seeing the way to heaven, they decided to pass through hell"
The leader was a peak bronze rank mystic and the rest were middle rank mystics.
No wonder they dared to be so audacious in the outer part of the forest , their squad was invisible as long as no vicious level beast appeared here , making them arrogant on their arrival.
*Hey kid aren't you the one we are talking to?" the black man snared wickedly gazing at Eric.
"Seems he is dump" they laughed
"Kid it seems you are really dump"
" kill him!" the captain commanded with an evil smirk, since Eric decided to play dump, he would instead snatch his kills and silence him.
Eric finally replied, looking at the group of weaklings who wanted to kill, for some reason this was the notion that came into his head.
"Are you all talking to me? Cause if you are referring to me, I'll advise you to cut your tongues and leave."
Eric wasn't unfamiliar to this kind of things, as he once read a novel he found by chance at the subway, and these were the words of an arrogant young master who didn't know the immensity of heaven and earth.

Eric wasn't the hero type or someone with a buddha heart that encompasses all things good or bad, having mercy on all living things.
But he had his own principle and morals.
