Chapter 2: Camp Halfblood

I woke up early the next morning, feeling restless. The idea of a tournament at Olympus was still bouncing around in my head, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to do something. So, I made a decision.

I kissed Annabeth goodbye and headed out the door, promising her that I'd be back soon. She understood, of course. She was always supportive of my adventures, even if she couldn't come along. Annabeth could not come along, because she promised her mother to finish university.

I got into my car and drove to Camp Halfblood. As I drove, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement. It had been a while since I'd been back to camp, and I was looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces and places.

When I arrived, I was greeted by the same familiar sights and sounds of the camp that I remembered. The cabins, the training grounds, and the Big House all looked just as they had before. But there was something different about the camp this time. There was a sense of energy and anticipation in the air, like something big was about to happen.

As I made my way to the Big House, I noticed that there were more demigods than usual milling about. Some were practicing their sword-fighting skills, while others were working on their archery. I even saw a group of satyrs playing music near the lake.

When I reached the Big House, I was greeted by Chiron. But something was different this time. Instead of just being the camp's activities director and trainer, I was now a supervisor of the tournament.

Chiron greeted me warmly, but there was a seriousness in his eyes that I couldn't ignore. "Hello, Percy," he said. "I've been expecting you."

I raised an eyebrow. "You have?"

Chiron nodded. "Yes. As one of the supervisors of the tournament, you'll need to know all the details. The gods gave me instructions about the rules."

My heart started to race. I couldn't believe it. I was actually going to be a part of the tournament. "So, what do I need to do?"

Chiron's expression turned serious. "First, you need to know the rules. The tournament is open to all demigods, and the winner will receive a wish. However, there are some restrictions. No killing, no cheating, and no use of deadly force."

I nodded, already formulating a plan in my head. "Got it. What else?"

"Each match will be one-on-one, and you'll be randomly assigned an opponent. The winner of each match will move on to the next round. And finally, the tournament will take place on Mount Olympus itself."

Mount Olympus. The very thought sent shivers down my spine. It was the home of the gods, and a place that few mortals ever got to see.

But before I could think more about it, Chiron continued. "As one of the supervisors, your job will be to ensure that everyone is following the rules and that the matches are fair. You'll also be participating in the tournament, of course."

I couldn't help feeling a surge of excitement. I was going to be a supervisor and a participant of the tournament. It was the best of both worlds. "I'm ready for anything."

Chiron's expression softened. "I know you are, Percy. And I'm proud of you. But remember, there's more at stake here than just a wish. The gods are watching this tournament closely, and it could have far-reaching consequences."

I nodded, feeling a weight settle on my shoulders. "I understand."

Chiron clapped me on the back. "Good. Now, go get some rest. You'll need all your strength for the battles ahead. We will tell the campers about the Tournament tomorrow."

I walked out of the big house, happy to see everyone. As I walked through the camp, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me. The sights and smells of Camp Half-Blood were all so familiar, but it had been a while since I had been back here. I made my way past the cabins, each one bringing back memories of the adventures I had here. But then, I saw it: the cabin that was once my home, the cabin of the kids of Poseidon.

Memories came flooding back to me. I remembered the first time I stepped foot in that cabin, scared and confused, but with a sense of hope that I had finally found a place where I belonged. I remembered the times I spent with Annabeth and Grover, planning our next quest to save the world from the likes of Kronos and other evil forces.

The memories of those battles were bittersweet. I remembered the fear and pain, but also the camaraderie and strength we had as a team. I missed those times, and I knew deep down that a part of me yearned for adventure and action again.

But now, I had a different kind of adventure in front of me: the tournament. I was both a participant and a supervisor, a responsibility that Chiron had entrusted to me. I was honored to have been chosen, but I knew that it wouldn't be an easy task.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for the adventures of my past. I missed the days of fighting monsters and saving the world, but I also knew that this tournament would bring its own challenges and tests of strength. And with Annabeth by my side, even if only in spirit, I knew that I could face anything that came my way.

As I approached the cabin, I saw that the door was slightly ajar. Curiosity got the better of me, and I pushed the door open to find myself face to face with Tyson, my half-brother and a friendly cyclops.

"Hey, Percy!" he said, grinning from ear to ear. "Long time no see!"

I couldn't help but smile at the sight of him. Tyson had always been a loyal friend, even when others didn't accept him for who he was. He had helped me in some of my toughest battles, and I was grateful to have him as a brother.

"Tyson, it's good to see you too," I replied. "What are you doing here?"

Tyson's smile faltered slightly. "I was just... looking for something."

I noticed that he was fidgeting with something in his hand, and I realized that it was a small figurine of a hippocampus, a sea creature that was sacred to our father, Poseidon.

"Is that... mine?" I asked, pointing to the figurine.

Tyson nodded, looking ashamed. "I'm sorry, Percy. I didn't mean to take it without asking. I just wanted something to remind me of you and our adventures together."

I couldn't stay mad at him. I knew that he had a big heart and sometimes got caught up in his emotions. I put a hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay, Tyson. You can keep it," I said, smiling at him.

Tyson's face lit up with joy. "Thank you, Percy! You're the best brother ever!"

I couldn't help but feel a sense of happiness at the sight of his excitement. It reminded me of the good times we had together, and it made me realize that even though I longed for adventure, I also had some amazing memories here at Camp Half-Blood.

"Hey, do you want to help me train for the tournament?" I asked, trying to shift the mood back to the present.

Tyson's eyes widened with excitement. "Yes, yes, I want to help!"

„We will start tomorrow at dawn. I won't go easy on you. I need to get back in form," I said laughing," Good Night Tyson."
