Chapter 28: CHAPTER 28: DRAMATIC
"Dramatic as always." Zhao Xia commented as she laughed at their reaction.
"I mean, why wouldn't we be surprised. You know we thought you were dead." Song Jung commented.
"Seriously?"
"Girl,you just left and you know one can't leave this place until you are forty years old." Song Meng commented as she sighed.
"You should be thankful that Haoran allowed you the privilege of being in a relationship while you are still here."
"Speaking of the Boss, how did you even meet? I mean I can't even come up with an idea of how you two even knew each other ...."
"We met in one of my hotels and he proposed and I agreed. We were actually childhood friends though."
"In one of your hotels? Damn you are a rich kid?"Lin Hui asked.
"I own the Luvitus group of hotels. Also my dad is the Boss of Japanese underworld."
"Okay, wait. your dad? Mr. Long?"
"No that piece of shit isn't my real father. My real father found me three years ago and that's why I easily left the base.My father in law is my dad's friend, hence I left without any consequences."
"It's been only three years and so much has changed for you." Song Jung commented.
"As much as there is positive, there is also negative. Someone is after my life."
"Don't tell me you killed someone, Xia, and now their kin is after you."
"I don't remember ever killing someone. I don't know what that man wants from me but I hope he never gets me.Luckily, he doesn't know that I am Katana, otherwise you would be attending my funeral right now."
"Hey, don't say that." Song Meng said as she lightly nudged Zhao Xia.
"Off topic but are you happy in this marriage with Boss?" Song Jung asked.
"Yes. Am very happy."
"That's good to hear because I will never forgive that Qin bastard for what he did to you." He said referring to Qin Mo, her ex.
"He is all in the past now. I moved on and found a diamond rather than the coal I had. Enough of me, what have you guys been up to?"
"Lin Hui and I are in a relationship while my brother has been admiring a new trainee lately. " Song Meng answered as she pecked Lin Hui's cheek.
"Aaaw, congrats you two."
"What are you doing here seated? You should be analyzing and instructing your students. I knew that you three are not worthy of becoming drillmasters." A man, a superior in the base, suddenly spoke from behind them in a harsh tone.The three stood up hurriedly and saluted whilst apologizing.
"Sorry,sir!"
"And who is this?" He asked Zhao Xia who had remained seated. It seemed he didn't recognize her. Before she could answer, he interrupted.
"And what's with the clothes you are wearing. Do you think this is some kind of fashion show, huh? Get up and go to the punishment zone. You have broken the rule of the dressing code."
Seeing that she wasn't making any move to get up, he roughly grabbed her hand and forced her to stand, turning her around. The trio tried to stop him but Zhao Xia stopped them in stead, with a shake of her head.
"You dare to ignore me?"
"Release my arm." She said calmly.
"I am your superior and you have the nerve to talk to me like that?"
"Geez, what's your problem? We were just chatting and now you want to build a mountain out of a mole hill?"
"So, am dramatic. You dare to say I ....."
"Yes I dare to say you are dramatic. What are you going to do about it?"
The superior increased the pressure of his hand on her arm.
"Release me, you are hurting me."
"So what?"
In the blink of an eye, Zhao Xia judo flipped the man over her shoulder surprising him and all those around them.She looked so tiny but she could easily judo flip an entire man!
"You have ruined my mood, you bastard." She muttered before straightening her shirt and sitting on the bench again.
Zhao Xia watched as he stood up in fury and headed towards her.
" What do you think you are doing to my wife?" An authoritative voice resounded in the silent sniper unit .
Everyone turned to look at the man who had just entered the arena. They all stood at attention when they saw Zhao Haoran. Even the superior who did not register the word wife, stood at attention and was ready to report the haughty woman to his boss.
However, when he glanced at her, he was surprised that she was still seated. He sneered inwardly, criticizing her for being disrespectful even to his Boss.
Everyone watched as Zhao Haoran headed to the bench which Zhao Xia had sat on. He took her arm and inspected it only to find some red marks where that superior had grabbed earlier.
"You bastard. You have the audacity to hurt my wife?"
"Boss..I...I..she...she is your wife?"
"Whether she is my wife or any other woman, who gave you the permission to act roughly with a woman? Is this how you were trained in order to join my base? Go to the punishment zone and atone your mistakes."
"Yes, sir!" He saluted before heading out.
"You, over there. Bring me the ointment from the first aid kit."
"Yes, boss."
"Why didn't you tell him you are the boss,huh?" He asked Zhao Xia.
"You think that man would believe me?"
"Well, maybe." He answered as he received the ointment from the trainee he had sent earlier.
"Oh, by the way, Haoran,these are my friends that I was telling you about.I trained with them when I was here." Zhao Xia introduced the trio.
"Thank you for being her friend during those times."
"It was our pleasure, Boss. Please excuse us." Song Meng said before they heading to the training grounds, some distance away from the bench.
'Oh, so they knew how to be serious when the Boss is around.' Zhao Xia thought as she watched them instructing the trainees.
