Chapter 3: Unbelievable

********************************************************************************************************

[1 hour earlier...]

It was a sweet morning in the gigantic city of Avalon. In the northern district of Pergon. The city housed many superstructures. It was a city where the most luxurious buildings in the region could be found.

The city had the most developed structures in the region of Mystical. Mystical was the name of the region.

A particular building, which was called the Blaze Tower, could be seen from any part of Pergon; it was one of the tallest structures in the area.

A beautiful young girl who was just sixteen years old resided in the Blaze Tower; her name was Freya Blaze.

From the entrance of her penthouse, there was a hallway that could sweep guests off their feet.

At the entrance was a welcoming appearance of a space crowned with a glittering chandelier, a cozy foyer, and warm wood floors, with a bouquet of blooms on a sleek console table.

Moving forward through the hallway, welcoming seating areas were furnished with a grand display of family portraits hung horizontally and vertically on the pale gray walls.

Approaching her room, you would see a large bed. With every metal piece of the furniture made of gold.

This exhibited the splendor she lived in. Her bed could accommodate six people at a time; it was so gigantic that it was hardly possible for one to fall off.

Freya's room wall had an LED screen all around, which made it possible for it to replicate any environmental background. Currently, it was just a normal pink wall. In this splendid room.

She slept gorgeously devoid of the world, like it didn't matter to her,

"Good morning, Freya's; it's time to wake up," Petal Freya's AI said.

"I can't even sleep; what the fuck", she cried out.

She closed her eyes, trying to get to sleep, but it was of no use. All of a sudden, she kicked her blanket off her body.

Immediately, she got up from the bed.

"I feel so tired; I need some nutrients," stated Freya as she staggered while walking with dim eyes.

Freya walked out of her room and towards the kitchen to get a drink. While she walked past, Freya noticed that Miriam was sitting on the couch directly opposite the entrance to her room, watching a movie.

"Miriam, you're awake?" She asked curiously.

Miriam heard Freya's voice, turned back, and responded,

"Yeah! I couldn't sleep, and there's this outstanding TV show that starts around this time; I didn't want to miss a moment of it. That's part of the reason I was unable to sleep," Miriam explained.

"Ok, enjoy your time." "Very soon, I will be leaving for my exercise," Freya told her.

"No problem, but come to think of it, isn't all the stuff you've got enough to take a rest? You are sexy enough to quit." Miriam waved her hands all over Freya's body to express it.

"Ha-ha! I don't do my exercises to get only this stuff," she answered, looking at her body from head to toe.

"I do my exercise to clear my mind from everything that's disturbing me", she added further.

"Unobjectable! if you say so, but be quick about it. Today's not the weekend; besides, it's the beginning of a new semester, so I don't want you to be late to school". Miriam cautioned her.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Mom" Freya complimented her and added "ok, I want to first grab a drink, and I will be off", Freya ended her statement.

Finally reaching the kitchen, she opened the refrigerator and collected an A-Nutrient Energy Drink.

The refrigerator had about 50 A-Nutrient drinks stocked.

Due to the urbanization of their world, people usually took nutrient energy to modify their bone structure, increase body physique, increase body stamina, and increase brain stimulation. The nutrient drinks were ranked according to their value: A,B,C, and D.

Freya opened her A-Nutrient Drink and gulped it down into her stomach. After finishing her drink, she collected another to aid her workout. She went back to her room to put on her gym outfit for her morning exercises.

Ever since her mom died, exercise has always kept her mind clear from any emotional entanglement. Freya had never gotten into relationships. She didn't want any form of emotional breakdown. According to her, she was waiting for true love, but will that true love ever come? Not every love story ends with true love.

During her emotional trauma, her dad had always cared about running his business and cared less about her.

He barely even saw his daughter; he hardly checked how she was faring; all he cared about was providing money for her. To him, emotional stability wasn't much of a necessity. The only one who had been there through it all was Miriam.

She was like a sister to her. They had been inseparable since childhood.

Miriam has been living with Freya ever since her parents died in a car accident. Her father took her in, and from that time until now, he has treated her like his daughter.

Freya was done with dressing, she went back to the sitting room.

"Miriam, I'm done. I will be back soon. See you later", she stated.

"Okay! "Come back early for breakfast, bye!" Miriam responded,

"Yeah!, bye!" Freya said.

Promptly, she went straight to the hallway, heading to their private elevator. The building they lived in housed over a hundred flats; it was the Blaze family tower; her uncle, cousins, grandparents, and all her extended family lived in the tower.

The Blaze Tower housed everything a human needed, like grocery stores, shopping malls, recreation centers, and lots more.

Although, she was entitled to a private fitness studio, she didn't find training there fun; she preferred going to a public gym.

Freya had always wanted to live a normal life, vaguely reminiscent of the luxurious lifestyles of the lower classes.

On reaching the private elevator, she got in and immediately said the destination she was going to "the last floor".

Immediately, the elevator started moving, and in just a matter of seconds, it arrived at the last floor.

The door opened, and she got out of the elevator.

Welcoming her were her shadow guards at the reception hall.

The reception hall was as splendid as a five-star hotel. The floors were made of the hardest stones(visceral stones). The hall was illuminated by magnificent chandeliers. Which made the hall vaguely dark, even when there were no windows.

Looking forward, you would see a dense crowd of men and women moving around. The building was like a commercial hub. The number of people that filled the hall could give a vivid description of how much they were earning from the building's commercialization.

The Shadow Guards were in their total black outfit from head to toe, putting on a hole balaclava, a TAC combat shirt and combat pants, and also a military patrol boot. Even their faces were covered to the brink, leaving only their eyes.

They were trying to make way for Freya as the crowd was too dense. They didn't want their mistress to get hurt.

The Shadow Guards were the top elite mercenary squad of the Blaze family. They were hard-core assassins. They had undergone one of the hardest training methods to achieve great heights. Freya's father put them in charge of guarding Freya at all times. But Freya never felt at ease with them around. So they had to secure her from the shadows.
