My eyes have not left a single moment on the translucent blue screen floating in front of me.

Why are my missions like this?
In the novel, all the heroines had to suffer numerous tragic events in order for them to grow as a character but eventually, the protagonist will save them from one and they'll go full-on obsessed with him.
Yep, full-on obsessed Yandere style.
And, oh boy, I do not want that attention directed at me.
My mother always said "Dont put your d*ck in crazy"
And I will live and die for that quote.
I let out a sigh and clicked on the [Store] tab.

This trash system is basically forcing me to save them.
But before I could even let out another sigh of disappointment.
The cave that I was in shook violently.
It was apparent that it was about to collapse in on itself.
I hurriedly ran trying to find my way back.
My vision was turning black and white repeatedly.
Indicating the night-vision potion was about to run out.
But thankfully, by God's grace, I found it at the last second.

The cave behind was reduced to mere stones.
as I was about to let out a sigh of relief this time.
The barrier around the cave started to dissipate.
Water started to flow inside the barrier.
I desperately reached into my pocket for the device and immediately clicked the big red button.
The circle-rounded device beeped rapidly making all the other sea serpents near me turn their heads and came at me at lightspeed.
I held my breath as the barrier completely disappeared making the water gush in at a terrifying pace.
A mile away from me were 3 to 5 sea serpents looking at me like a happy meal.
But before they could even reach me.
*SPLASH* *SPLASH* *SPLASH*
I look up top at the waves and see 3 individuals dove in.
They swam towards me faster than the sea serpents.
One of them grabbed me by the waist and quickly rose to the surface.
While the other two were killing the sea serpents who were getting close so effortlessly.
We got out of the ocean just as quickly as they dove in.
The guard that was carrying me carefully put me down back onto the same cliff I jumped before.
As I sit down and take a moment to breathe.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING DOWN THERE?"
I look toward the guard with anger apparent on his face.
Uh oh.

After an arduous journey, I am finally back at my apartment.
Yesterday after saving me from the ocean, the guards scolded me for what seemed like an eternity, it kind of reminded me of my mom, but eventually, they let me go.
After traveling back home, I immediately passed out on my bed.
The next day my entire body was sore.
I could not move a damn inch without a single muscle in my body aching.
I was contemplating using the 2 remaining potions on my bracelet but decided not to as I would rather use them in a life-threatening situation.
I opened my system by using the same old cliche word.

The same blue transparent screen appeared before me.
I clicked this time on the [Occupation] tab.

Alright, from the novel I know that if I pick one occupation, I won't be able to change it so I have to think hard and be 10000% sure that I pick the right one.
Way of the Warrior?
Close-quarter combat is something I don't dislike but the problem is its limited range, there are some monsters here that I would have no way of getting close to, I would literally just get kited to death before I could even pierce them with a sword.
The Art of the Archer?
This is honestly pretty good, it gives me a way to attack the enemy from afar while being safe from danger, the problem is that I would have no way of being able to fight them once they somehow got to me.
The same goes for Mastery over Magic, not only that I would be in extreme danger if they got close to me, mages suffer from taking a long time to prepare their spells, which is a huge no-no for me.
I need to be quick, quiet, and capable of long and short-range combat.
So with that in mind, I was left with only one option.
Art of the Assassin.
Assassins specialize in both close and ranged combat and not only that, I would be able to kill my enemies before they could even fight back.
This occupation would be really good in the long run, I've already accepted deep inside of me that I would need to save the heroines one way or another and so I would need a disguise.
This would greatly affect the plot but since I have no other choice, well that's the problem for the future Troi,
If I save them without revealing my identity this should mean I won't get f*cked right?
