Chapter 27: Need a hand?.
putting on a wicked smile, He said, "Gotcha." Elena eyes widen in shock.
this was the first time someone had easily spotted her, while the camouflage skill was activated.
she was too shocked to react on time. The vampire sent out a punch, hitting elena on her left shoulder. the punch was a solid hit.
****Ding***Ding***Ding****.
minus 15 hp.
Elena was sent flying backwards, and the notification came as another shock to elena. The vampire's attack had already reduced her health point by 15. she needed to act quickly.
borrowing the "Claymore's" skills, she stood up and activated her blaze skill, rushing forward. She sent out a fist of her own, covering her entire fists with pure vampiric energy. the vampire also rushed forward, sending out a fist of his own, without infusing his vampire energy.
both fists collided, and elena was sent flying backwards a second time.
minus 20 hp. energy will be used to recover lost hp.
seeing this, she cursed underneath her breath. If only she could land a successful hit, she would be able to inflict an additional 10% damage due to the claymore skills she had borrowed.
but alas, her vampire energy combined with her punch was useless against someone like this.
she felt it would be better to use a weapon to fight, but she didn't want to use the Claymore alacad had given her. she didn't want to draw more attention to herself.
before she could get up from the floor, the vampire was already standing in front of her, punching her furiously in the stomach.
the system notification kept ringing in her head.
minus 5hp, minus 10hp , minus 3hp , minus 15hp.
minus 5 hp. Host health is too low, automatic healing has been activated, host energy will be consumed while healing is activated.
her energy bar was halved automatically. seeing this, she knew she was in big trouble. this was how she was going to die, so she thought. All of a sudden she heard a loud scream.
[Arrrrrggggghhhh]
After the loud scream , the attacks that have been assaulting every inch of her body have stopped.
opening her eyes, she could see the vampire in the blue armour set, crying in pains, behind him was a girl, elena had seen couple of times these past few days, Arwin.
with both of her hands held high, arwin was manipulating the vampire's blood. clearly, he was in pain.
"Need a hand?" Arwin said nonchalantly. elena was grateful that someone had come to her rescue when she needed it most.
"Thank you." She managed to say as she stood up to her feet. " What do we do with him? Arwin asked.
Elena thought for a moment before responding. "I want him alive , at least for now." She responded.
"Got it." Arwin replied back.
the next moment, she lowered the vampire back down on the floor. The vampire was still crying in pain. Whatever arwin was doing was inflicting great pain on the vampire elena could tell.
Elena needed to replenish her lost energy, so she activated her skill, "Energy drain." Upon activation, her nails became elongated. seeing this, she sent out an attack, using her fingertips to claw at the vampire's face.
A bright red energy that closely looked like vampiric energy left the vampire and began entering into elena's fingertips.
Alert! Alert!!
host has activated the skill "Energy drain," Host has begun absorbing energy from the target. host energy grows by the second. host energy has been filled up completely.
host energy level 100/100%
does host wish to continue draining energy from Target? Yes/No.
elena answered yes with her mind. the system continued to drain out the energy from the vampire, while arwin used her blood manipulation ability to keep him in place.
she kept draining the energy until she got a notification warning her the victim only had 2% more energy in him.
The absorbed energy will now be stored in the system for future use. the system informed elena.
At this point, the vampire was too weak to even scream, elena told arwin to stop using her ability, she did as asked, she was curious after seeing what elena had just done, but she knew now wasn't the time or place to start asking questions.
After deactivating her blood manipulation ability, elena squat in front of the vampire, "What is your purpose here?" She asked. raising his head, he spat in elenas' face before responding in a weak voice , "If u want to kill me, kill me."
hearing this, Arwin stepped forward and said, "With pleasure." Before elena could make any sense from her response, she heard flesh wringing sounds, and the next moment, the vampire exploded into several small pieces. the blue armour set he was wearing was flung all over the place. "You're welcome," she said with an innocent look.
"Why did you do that? I wanted answers from him, you know." Elena yelled in anger. " You're stupid if you think he was going to tell you anything else." She said while holding eye contact with elena.
she then squat down, raising a finger nail of the vampire that was still intact, with a ring on it. she pulled out the ring from the fingernails that had blood stains on it. stretching the ring to elena, she said "here, whatever you want to know I believe you'll get your answers from this, it's a storage ring, it's used to store items like every other storage device.
elena collected the ring from Arwin. at this point, arwin had turned her back around. She was already heading back to the school before halting her steps, "You might want to get the help of a professional in other to be able to break the code on the ring, if you want to access its contents. also, don't stay long at the scene. My guess is that the school authorities are already heading towards this location ." She resumed her steps before fading out of Elena's view.
"Did she just disappear into thin air?" Elena asked herself. not wanting to be labelled as the suspect, she also decided to leave the battle scene.
Exactly as Arwin as guessed, Elena heard voices and quick footsteps making their way towards her direction. She quickly made her way towards a massive tree before leaping upwards into one of its branches. activating camouflage, she blended into her environment.
