Chapter 78: Rage

Without giving Lord Raden any chance to attack, Elena activated several skills all at once.
Blaze has been activated. Energy drain has been activated. Domain of darkness has been activated. Dragon's roar has been activated.
Upon activating domain of darkness, Elena trapped Lord raden in a world of her own, a world made solely from the darkness element.
Moving on she used dragon's roar to temporarily petrify raden as she was unsure wether or not he had mastered the darkness element like herself.
As she could still remember their last battle and how raden had used some sort of dark energy in defeating her.
If the latter had absolute control over darkness then it would be a matter of time before he would break free from her domain of darkness.
With that thought in mind Elena began attacking Raden with all she got while he was still petrified as a result of her dragon roar.
With her claymore she began delivering series of sword strikes as she also used her energy drain skill to constantly drain energy points from her opponent.
During the few seconds while the dragon's roar lasted, Elena was able to drastically reduced the energy level of Lord raden.
The moment the skill ended, Lord raden regained his movement as he began laughing maniacally once again.
"I see you've improved so well kid, but I too have also improved alot since our last battle".
After saying that, Asura [lord Raden] activated an attack of his own "absolute chaos". With absolute chaos, he broke free from Elena's domain of darkness.
As dark chaotic energy began oozing from his skin and quickly spreading around the entire vicinity.
Seeing this, zareth quickly created a void space where he safely took shelter while observing the epic battle between Elena and Lord raden.
at the same time he was also waiting for the perfect moment when he would deliver his deadliest attack on raden in order to change the outcome of the battle.
Seeing the changes as a result of Raden's attack Elena created a domain of darkness of her own and disappeared into tin air.
By the time she reappeared she was standing behind Lord raden hoping to deliver a sneak attack on him but without turning around he sent a chaotic energy ball at her.
With her quick reflexes she jumped several feet into the air and then use that opportunity to safely evade the incoming attack and also sent out an attack of her own which Lord raden easily negated with his own elemental ability.
Turning around to face his opponent, there was an evil smirk on his face as he beckoned her to resume her attacks.
Seeing the smirk on his face sent Elena into a fit of rage. The crimson glow in her eyes intensified as she was at the verge of going berserk.
She kept her weapon back in her storage ring as she used the darkness energy as a cloak around her body.
She ran towards Lord raden as he also covered the distance between them by also running towards her.
When they were few feets away from each other they both stretched out their fists delivering a power packed punch at one another.
When both of their fists collided they were both pushed backwards by the force of their attacks. while the shock wave wrecked the castle buildings behind them.
They kept exchanging punch after punch as they engage in hand to hand combat. While Lord Raden's fighting style was refined elena was obviously fighting like a mindless savage beast.
While in this state of rage she was actually over powering Lord Raden. As she seemed to be possessed by a war god of some sort.
The longer they fought, the stronger she became. Knowing he would be at a disadvantageous situation soon if the fight was to drag out for much longer, Lord Raden decided to end the fight as quickly as possible.
Chaotic energy blasts. The moment he activated this skill, series of massive explosions went off around them, destroying everything that was unlucky enough to be around him.
The blast sent elena flying several metres away while the entire royal castle was brought to ashes like it never existed.
After using chaotic energy blasts, Lord Raden himself was in a disadvantageous situation as his body wasn't strong enough to handle the amount of energy required to perform an attack of that scale.
Currently he was experiencing the backlash of pushing his body beyond what it could handle.
As he layed on the ground defenceless, zareth took the opportunity to deliver the final blow by summoning the biggest energy blasts he could create at his current level.
"Detonate." Another massive explosion went off at the exact location were Lord raden was lying on ground. With him being on the heart of the explosion his body was scattered into several little pieces.
While zareth had successfully destroyed Lord Raden's body, the real culprit Asura the divine of chaos used the cover of the explosion to escape.
The thought of taking over zareth's body did cross his mind,but in his current state asura was too weak to carry out a forceful take over.
Hence the reason why he decided to retreat for now and seek his revenge on them when he was in a more better state.
The fact that two lowly vampire were proving too difficult for him to kill left a sour taste in his mouth and a burning desire to not just kill them but also to torture them until they'll beg for death.
Oblivious to the fact that Asura their real enemy was still alive, zareth quickly made his way to where Elena was lying on the floor, with various Injuries visible in her body.
Back when Lord Raden had used chaotic energy blasts, Elena was able to survive an explosion of that scale because of the cloak of darkness she had used to protect her body.
Even though the cloak was enough the keep her alive, it didn't completely shield her from sustaining several injuries.
Although her body was healing itself at a very fast speed she still needed approximately 10 minutes to get her body to its top shape.
She continued to remain on the ground until she was completely heal before asking zareth to help her up.
"What about the b**t**d? Elena asked after noticing the current situation of what used to be the castle.
The garden was no more, the castle has been reduced to ashes even the thick forest that once bordered the Palace seemed to have been erased from existence.
The guards and servants that were all present in the castle had all lost their lives due to the exchange of these behemoths.
Even though Elena was not close to anyone of them, she remembered some of the servants that used to attend to her back when Alacad was the Lord of the 3rd city.
Some how she felt sad for the loss of the innocent vampires who had to loose their lives as a result of the evil deeds of their Lord.
"He's dead now. At least Lydia and Emiera can rest peacefully now in the afterlife." Zareth said with pains evident in his eyes as he mentioned Lydia and Emiera being in the afterlife.
Elena nodded her head in relief as she silently apologised to her now deceased friends.
What next? What are we going to do next elena? Zareth asked.
