Chapter 19: Selene Moonstone
To be honest, I feel like everything went kinda fast. I was single even few hours ago and now I have such a cool and rich lover. I am right now in the 30th floor of the Sunshine Hotel. What am I doing there? It's the place where Selene-sama's office and room is.
I am sitting on a sofa and Selene-sama was sitting on her seat. There is a awkward silence. I am kinda embarrassed. I don't know what to do after all.
"Umm, Selene-sama. What do you mean by my new room?" I asked.
"Ah, now that I think about it, I haven't explained a lot of things to you. But before that, let me tell you that you're being rude." Selene-sama said.
"I am sorry. Did I do something wrong, Selene-sama?" I asked.
"Yeah, you're even doing now. We are now officially lovers, right?" she asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Then why are you calling me with sama? Just call me by my name." She said to me.
Ah, now that I think about it, she is right. It's kinda awkward to call your partner with sama.
"Ah, sorry. Okay, I will call you Selene." I said with a smile.
"Yeah. That's the right choice." She nodded.
"Now can you explain everything to me?" I asked.
"You see, I had a problem from the beginning. I was born as a first child in a noble house. I have everything I had wanted. I was beautiful and talented. But there was a major problem within me. I was able to get myself love someone from opposite gender. Not even I liked someone from same gender. I got countless proposal from guys, but I rejected. My family pressured me to get married. But I refused. You see, I am a first born child of Moonstone family. So, I need to make children soon. But I absolutely hate being with someone whom I don't love. So that time I was going through a lot that time and you came to me with your kindness that time. You gave me umbrella and that triggered me. I felt like you came in front of me like a prince and saved me from my despair." she said with genuine smile.
"Don't tell me, you're the lady from that day?" I said with surprised.
My memory says that one day when I was going to the orphanage from an errand and I saw a lady who was sad. I was able to understand that she was crying. I know that I won't be able to soothe her, so I offered my umbrella to her and went orphanage while getting wet in rain. But I have never ever imagined that lady was Selene.
"That was the first time, I have fallen for someone. I was genuinely got attracted to you. Before I knew it, I started to think about you all the time. So, I started to get closer to you. But you were 12 years old that time. It would be a sin if I get closer to you and couldn't control my emotions and forced myself to you. So, I planned to at make situation where I will be able to get closer to you when you're adult and eradicate all of the insects. I know that you have to get out of the orphanage, so I let you work in my restaurant for few years." She admitted.
"Wait, I thought that restaurant belongs to the manager." I said in surprised.
"Nope. That was my restaurant. Even this hotel belongs to me." Selene revealed.
"Then why did she kicked me out of the restaurant?" I asked.
"You said that you wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. I could get a trainer card from a professor. But I think it would be hard for you if you become a powerful trainer. Media will try to investigate your past and if they found out about your past, they will definitely reveal it to everyone. I don't want people to call you a person who became strong with the help of your lover. So, I thought of making you a member of our organization. You will be able to act like a trainer and if you become a powerful trainer within organization, the organization will take responsibility to hide your past and give you official trainer card. But for doing that, you have to get out of the restaurant. So, I told her to kick you out and give you a hint to join our organization." Selene revealed.
"I see. So, I wasn't in fault there." I said.
"Why would they kick you out over a simple thing? You were really important for the restaurant you know." Selene said.
"I see. Thanks for your support all these times, Selene." I thanked her.
"It's okay. I am your girlfriend after all. After you became a member. I wanted you to be directly under me. But I can't do that if you're not within agent rank. So, I told Eva to pressure you so that you rank at least within top 3 in the tournament. If you make within top 3 I could promote you officially." Selene said.
"Then why didn't I get a agent in charge of me? Everyone was able to learn a lot about organization from them, but I wasn't." I said.
"I didn't want someone else to get closer to you before me. You know how Roy get closer to Daisy. So, I wanted to promote you and let you under my wing. I wanted to be your first girlfriend." She revealed.
"I see. So, that's how it is. I am glad that you explained everything to me. But what about my new room?" I asked.
"That room was a temporary room. Normally, a grunts lives in a room closer to the agent in charge of him. Same goes for you too. But you didn't had an agent who is in charge of you. So, I let you temporarily stay there. I planned to let you in a room closer to mine. So, your new room will be in this hotel and the room beside me." She told me.
"Wait, then I will be living in a room beside you?" I said in surprised.
"Well, we're lovers. So, isn't it obvious?" She said with a smile.
