After another night of endless conversation about the past, Eve lay down on the bed, exhausted. Luckily, Maximilian left and decided not to spend the rest of the night with her, or she would probably faint from exhaustion. Even magic would not have been able to help her.

She sighed. A part of her was exhausted, yet the other part wanted to know more. She was so curious, so hungry for more knowledge. However, she had to pretend that she had too much information to not arouse any suspicion.

Still, Eve was not in a hurry. After all, she was going to spend a lifetime with this man. She had a lifetime to ask about the knowledge that he was able to gather over the years!

Meanwhile, Penelope stared at the large walls that bordered the Lycan Empire to the small tribes outside. "We have arrived," Penelope said.

"Young Miss, we have already prepared your residence," one of her maids said.
