Chapter 16: The Beast Pirates!
A day ago
" Haaaa! What has happened to the weakling?! Hey! Queen! Go get them back!"
.....
Today.
" Fire!"
Cannons fired onto the small island from the mammoth ship, bombarding the already small town. Standing on the front mast was the captain of the flagship and one of Kaido's, The King of the Beasts, right handmen, Queen the Plague.
" KIIIIKIKIKI! That's right you lousy lot, keep firing. Don't let up until this island is dust!" Queen the Plague- Bounty 945,784,625
On the beach pointed out at sea were small cannons and mortars pulled out from the navy base. The navy had turned the only entrance to the small town into a barricade with barbed wire and pikes digging into the ground.
" Fire back!" Markus shouted.
" Going out!"
" Fire!"
* Doom! Doom! Doom!
The cannons on beach fired back at the Beast pirates ship, with a few of the heavy metal balls hitting their mark.
" Gyaaaa?! We're hit Queen-San."
" Well? Fix it!" Queen replied.
*Doom! Doom! Doom!
Another volley of cannon fire went spiraling out to sea. Just narrowly missing the plague's ship.
" Damn, we missed. Load up and try again! We have to hold this beach. No pirates get in this town today, do you hear me?! Vice Admiral Borsalino is on his way, but until he gets here, we hold them off!" Markus exclaimed.
" Yes!"
' It doesn't seem like Kaido is here. Good. But still a man worth as much as Queen... This is gonna be a long few hours. But why is he here? Guess it doesn't matter.' " Alright, fire!" Markus shouted.
*Doom! Doom! Doom!
The cannons fired again, this time the beast pirates ship was hit dead on.
" Gah! Queen-San. We can't take much more of this."
" Fine then! Pull up to the shore! Ramming speed!" Queen shouted.
" Yes sir!"
Markus noticed the shift in the Beast pirates formation.
" They're turning the ship. Watch out! They're ramming us!" Markus shouted. " Fire another round at them, sink that ship before it touches land!"
" We can't! We're out of ammo!"
" What?! How are you out of ammo already?" Markus asked the man.
" We're a small town. We don't have the supplies or the manpower that the larger bases have." Captain Hongo told the man.
" Damn it! You got gunpowder, right?!" Markus asked the man.
" Yes sir!"
" Then set it on fire and get the hell out of the way. We're gonna funnel them right towards us. Hurry and pull back!" Marku shouted.
The marine soldiers started dousing their barrels of gunpowder, creating piles of flames that created a funnel from the beach right towards the Marines barricade.
" Here they come! Brace!"
The beast pirates ship sped straight towards the beach and smashed through the first barricade.
" YAaaaaaah!"
" Marines! Guess who's here?!" Queen shouted. " Kiiiiiikikiki!"
" Captain! Prepare yourself. We 've got a long night on our hands." Markus told the man.
" Well, young man. I'm no slouch myself. Think you can keep up?" Hongo asked Markus. Slipping into his hands were two small black daggers.
" Men advance!" Queen shouted.
" Yeaaaaaaah!" Hordes of the beast pirates started dropping down onto the beach and made a mad dash straight to the funnel of flames leading into the town.
" Here they come! Steady!" Markus waited until a solid amount of the men had run into the gap. And when they did. " FIRE!" Markus shouted.
The Marine soldier all started opening fire onto the pirates as they came hurdling through, knocking them down and forming a small wall of bodies.
" Eh?! What's wrong with you lousy losers, huh? Falling for such a simple trick." Queen stated.
" Queen-San, you told us to go!"
" No, I didn't!" Queen replied. " Anyway it doesn't matter now. Those Marines think they're smart blocking the way in. But." Queen jumped into the air and started soaring right over the fire towards the town.
" For such a big guy he really can move." Markus stated. He jumped into the air and cut Queen off from going further. " No you don't." Markus told the man. He flexed his arm and it turned black.
" Heh!" Queen flexed and his arm turned black as well.
" Haaaaaaaaa!"
" Kiiyaaaaaaa!"
* Crack!
Markus and Queen both grinned at one another. Right there in the air the two men struggled against one another and despite his size Queen was held completely still. He couldn't move.
The two men separated, and when they did it sounded like thunder had struck down upon them, that's how loud their collision was.
The two men landed back on the beach a little behind the last barricade that the Marines had set up.
" Kiiiikikiki! Not bad, kid. Not bad at all. What's your name?" Queen asked. There was obvious intrigue. To be so young and be able to match him, in all his glory and majesty, in power. It was no small feat.
" I don't feel like giving you a name. I think I'd rather know what you want." Markus told the man.
" That's not fair. I asked you first you know. You could share at least that. It's easy, look my name is Queen! There now it's your turn." Queen told the man.
" Okay, I'll give it up. The name's Markus." Markus told the man.
" I see, Markus? Well, Markus you wouldn't mind releasing our men would you?" Queen asked the man.
Markus looked at Queen and slanted his eyes in confusion.
Seeing the look Queen sighed. " Iron body. See he was on a mission for us and well... We can't exactly get where we want to go without him." Queen told the man.
" And where is that exactly?"
" I'm not telling you!" Queen shouted.
" Well, I'm not letting him go. So, you can just shelve that." Markus told the man.
" Really? You sure you won't? Even if I ask nicely?"
" Nope!" Markus exclaimed.
" I see... Oh well. I tried doing this the nice way." Queen stated. He let out a low growl and suddenly his body started to morph. His skin turned yellow, and his entire body grew in mass by a large margin, he was easily standing over eight meters tall now, maybe even more. " Die!" Queen shouted. He opened his mouth wide, and a laser beam fired from his mouth.
" A laser beam?! That looks just like! Borsalino's?!" Markus exclaimed. He dodged out of the way of the beam and watched as it exploded behind him. Markus jumped forward, right underneath Queen's neck and then jumped up towards him. His arm turned black, and Markus slammed it right into the man's large throat, or at least what Markus perceived as his throat.
Queen reeled just a little, before recovering. He then whipped his neck around in a circle and slammed it into Markus' small body.
Markus raised his arm to block the attack, but the giant man's neck proved to be much too powerful.
" Gah! Damn it!!!!" Markus yelled. He felt the pull of gravity heavy on his body as he went flying backwards. Markus hit the ground hard and started skidding through it. It was painful feeling the ground tearing up beneath him.
" Kiiiiiikikiki! Do you see now, kid? You can't stop the mighty POWER of the Brachiosaurus! Your punch can't hurt me! " Queen exclaimed. He watched as Markus dug himself out of the pile of rubble he was stuck under with blood dripping from his head.
" Heh! My punch can't hurt you? Who decided that? I just haven't my back into it yet. That's all. Wanna see what it looks like when I give it my all?!" Markus asked the man. He looked at Queen like a crazy man, a crazed and almost lunatic look in his eyes and grinning from ear to ear.
" Oh? Another battle crazy lunatic. Well, at least this should be fun to watch you squirm." Queen stated.
" We'll see if it's fun when I punch your teeth in."
" Just go ahead and try. I'll smash that fist of yours."
Markus the young Marine with a passion for battle. Queen the beast pirate with a knack for pizazz. What'll happen to Banaro Island when these two larger than life warriors battle.
