Chapter 48: CH 48: Extremis (2/2)
"Woah, god damn..." Sticking to a high wall while camouflaged, Chaos awed at the sheer number of gang members and Russian Mobs in the place, all armed with pistols, shotguns, semi-automatics and automatics :"Look at how crowded this place is. Damn..."
"I'm beginning to get convinced it really is the Extremis." Natasha inside of him hummed, checking out the situation from the inside :"Makes you wonder how the police haven't been involved with how many armed guys are here, huh?"
"Hmm, true." The red Symbiote hummed in agreement :'But well, considering how we forgot to ask for the identity of this "boss" guy, and how no police or anything is involved despite this situation, I feel like I know who the big boss of this gang is...'
"Oh well, who gives a shit?" He shrugged in the end, a smirk forming :"Just makes it easier for us to go bat shit insane, don't you think?" But the dark smirk turned into a curious hum :"By the way, how about we do it together?"
"Together?" Natasha asked curiously, beckoning him to continue :"I meant as in both of us fighting. As much as I love going insane in these kinds of situations, I also think fighting together would be really fun."
"Hmm, well, that does make sense." The redhead gave a chuckle before he continued :"Also, I think this kind of a situation would also make for great training. With the targets dead set on killing you, and you going all out against them. What do you think? Wanna have some fun?"
Hearing him, a mean smile formed on her lips :"Well, now that sounds way too fun to pass out on, don't you think?" Causing a chuckle to leave her Symbiote, a dark chuckle :"Now that's what I wanna hear." Bringing his claw to his chest, his deadly hand pierced through himself and grabbed his confused host before pulling her out.
Putting her against the wall so she could stick to it, while a tendril that was connecting them camouflaged and disappeared, his pierced chest recovered instantly. He didn't actually push his own claws into his chest. He simply moved his biomass to grab his host. But even if he did pierce himself, there wouldn't be a problem. His Regenerative Healing Factor wasn't just for show. Even complete obliteration wouldn't be a problem at this point.
"Couldn't you do it normally?" But his host still gave him the side eye as he shrugged, getting out of his camouflaged state so she could see :"Eh, what's the harm anyway. Now like this or anything else could do anything. Anyway, shall we get going already?"
"Yeah, we shall." With the sinister smiles returning, both of them jumped, heading down towards the numerous criminals. But in the air, in the middle of their fall, something extraordinary happened to Natasha. The Symbiotic biomass in the middle of her back moved around, before eight boney, steel-like spider legs shot out.
Her Retractable Spider Legs. An ability she gained from their 10th Super Spider, an enhanced Portia Fimbriata Spider. Along with Retractable Forearm Stingers, Retractable Talons and Retractable Fangs. With how durable, strong and poisonous they were, they were extremely useful for frontier combats and assassinations.
Landing on the ground with two loud booms, causing dust to scatter and hide them, all the thugs who were already tense quickly turned towards them :"Who's there?!" Causing a gentle, feminine chuckle to erupt :"Who? No one. Just a spider, and a scorpion." And from the midst of the dust, two webs and two red tendrils shot out.
Once latched on, the tendrils pulled in the screaming thugs, while the webs electrocuted two of the criminals, instantly killing them while two loud crunch sounds were heard from within the dust along with a satisfied groan :"Man, nothing beats eating food."
"Fire!!" Recognizing them as hostile, the gang members all started firing without mercy as the two Symbiotic intruders rampage began. While Chaos did his thing the old fashion way, simply rushing in without a hint of worry for the bullets, downright ignoring all undelivered damage and just eating and killing whatever that he grabbed onto, Natasha began her own killing spree.
However, although the same act, their method of completing the job was completely different. While Chaos killed and killed without a care, like a mindless brute, Natasha looked like she was dancing in the midst of the battlefield. Her moves were fluid, beautiful, as her body moved like it was listening to a rhythm. Her limbs, along with the extra ones, dodged the incoming bullets while the beautiful and spear-like spider legs sometimes blocked or simply cut the bullets in the air, revealing their durability and danger.
As one of the spider legs moved and cut off a thug's head, and one of the Retractable Forearm Stingers pierced someone else's heart, her Spider-Sense went off. Her head whipping towards where she sensed the danger from, she saw a grenade flying towards her as she killed someone once again.
Smirking, she didn't even pay much attention to it. She simply raised hand and shot a single web-ball at the grenade, causing it to fly back to where it came from before she spun in place and grabbed someone's face. Slamming him to the ground, electricity surged in her hand and into the thug, with enough force to instantly kill him.
When a bunch of them wanted to back away, a cold air exuded from the hand holding the burnt-to-a-crisp before ice spikes came out of the ground, piercing all of them and forcing them into the sky, where their lifeless bodies hung. But she didn't stop there. Electricity surged from the ice and to the surrounding, shocking and killing all those unfortunate enough to come in contact with it.
"Fuck, kill those two monsters already!!" Somebody shouted, trying to be brave and run around the huge ice spikes to shoot. However, the redhead smirked an evil smile as she shouted towards the ice. But no ordinary shout. A screech. One that had made Chaos's weakness to sound disappear.
A Sonic Screech.
As she screamed at the ice, it shattered into numerous pieces before getting shot at the surrounding thugs. The force behind them being enough to pierce and either immobile or kill all of them. Cracking her neck, she focused her attention on the thugs on her side, all while Chaos was just rampaging around :"Alright, let's get a little bit serious now."
As she rushed forward, she dodged a shotgun shot before her spider legs slashed at the thugs in front, easily cutting them into pieces with a single swipe like a hot knife through butter. Punching another in the face, his head flew away before she shot a few web-balls at several thugs, the poison in them enough to kill them in seconds despite being in an extremely low dose. If not, it would literally melt them away.
And well, she didn't want to turn her Symbiote's food into a puddle of flesh and blood. He would get pouty when his food was messed up. Shooting a web-line at a nearby car, which probably belonged to one of the thugs, she pulled with one arm, causing the car to fly towards a group of criminals.
As the car crushed them all, Chaos's dissatisfied groan came from a bit away :"Hey, watch it, Nat! You're messing up my damn food!" Causing her to roll her eyes :"I'm trying, alright?! It's not that easy to kill them without dealing a bit of damage when there's this many of them!"
"Oh whatever!" He growled in annoyance, smashing someone's head into his body :"Just try to at least not completely destroy them! This much quantity makes up for the quality, so whatever!" Grabbing someone, he ripped him into two before slamming his foot into the ground.
On the outside, it looked like doing nothing. However, as the ground cracked, his biomass entered the ground at an astonishing speed before moving around. At an instant, all that biomass rushed out from the ground in numerous and towering spikes, killing everything in the area beside his host.
As Natasha looked up at all the killed thugs, which also included the ones on her side, she raised an eyebrow at Chaos who ate all of them using his biomass :"Why the sudden change of heart? Thought you were having fun."
"Eh, I guess." He shrugged, relishing in the taste of all the killed thugs :"But fighting small fries isn't that fun. At least killing a bunch of them at once is pretty satisfying." And Natasha shrugged as well :"Fine, whatever. Now come back so we can find that Extremis."
As Chaos returned, their Symbiote-Sense and Spider-Sense were activated, showing a yellow trail in their darkened vision. A trail into the warehouse that everybody was guarding. The place where they could see, through their special vision, several people glowing red were hiding. Quietly getting close, their sharpened senses allowed them to hear their whispers.
"Shit, what the hell happened outside?"
"Did somebody attack?"
"It's all quiet now. Did they whatever or whoever attacked?"
"Shit... we should check if everything's alright."
"What?! Are you insane?! Didn't you hear the chaos going on outside?!"
"Well, we can't just sit around here! C'mon, stop being a pussy and follow me. You guys stay here and look out for that serum. If that thing gets even a scratch, we're all toast. Alright, let's go."
"Damn it..."
Smirking at the whispers, the Symbiotic duo entered their liquid form before sneakily entering through the door's gaps. As they exited their liquid form, Natasha hid and checked out the situation. Looking at the people inside, her eyebrows furrowed. Unlike the thugs behind, the people that were guarding the Extremis had special suits and gears. They were by no means ordinary thugs. They looked like trained soldiers.
But nonetheless, normal thugs or special forces, it didn't matter. They couldn't stop the duo. But not wanting to risk getting the serum damaged, she decided that assassination was the best course of action. And one of her own personal abilities was a godsend for assassination or sneaking around.
Audiokinesis/Sound Manipulation.
The power that allowed her to manipulate sound to mimic, intensify, hush, and distort, as well warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, and slow down sound, using it as a powerful physical force and high-speed movement. An extremely useful ability that she got along with her Sonic Screech from the 11th Super Spider: Arachnoscelis Arachnoid.
Activating her power, she silenced her own sound and manipulated the sound waves around her as she got ready to make her move. Once the few guards were in a nice position, away from the sight of the ones left behind, she made her move.
Surging her electricity through her body while keeping it quiet, she killed them in an instant. As her Retractable Forearm Stingers struck them, she silenced the area around them as well, stopping the others from hearing them.
She didn't really need to use her electricity, since her own speed was more than enough to kill them without anybody noticing. While Chaos ate them and stored their weapons, she quickly moved once again. Getting into high ground, she saw a bunch of guards in combat uniforms surrounding a special suitcase vigilantly.
"Shit, what happened to them? Hey, everything alright?!"
"Damn it, let's check it out."
"Hey, you, stay behind and watch our six."
As a few of them quietly and carefully moved, Natasha smirked. "Huh, what the-" A guard frowned when a web-line was shot to the ground next to him. But even before he could finish his sentence, the redhead's Retractable Talons slashed at his neck, cutting it clean off.
"What the?! Shoot-" The other noticed once they looked back. But before they could do anything, their chest were pierced by long, deadly spider legs. As they were hung in the air, with the spider legs holding them up, they breathed their last breath before dying. Not one to waste food, Chaos ate all of them and took their weapons.
"Shit, it needs a password." As she reached the suitcase, Natasha frowned and Chaos scoffed smugly :"Does it now?" And a few small tendrils entered through some gaps before easily hacking the advanced suitcase. Opening it, they saw a glass with a red liquid inside :"Well I'll be."

«So, I uh... I watched Arcane: League of Legends. It's a fucking masterpiece. And I think that it's a crime that season 2 hasn't come out yet. But I honestly would rather they take all their time to make another masterpiece rather than ruin it because of impatience. So, I wanted to discuss a few things.
1: Was Silco right? About the upside needing to fear them so they can earn their freedom? Abso-fucking-lutely. Do you really think these greedy pieces of shits will give them freedom for no reason? Hell no! Humans were never that kind. Unless you snarl at them, they will do anything and everything to take advantage of you. That's just how humans are, filthy to the core. So, yes, I completely agree with Silco. Better die like a dog than live like a worm. And I honestly hated Vander's idiocy and stupidity that just taking a step back will fix everything. No, it won't. You take a step back, they'll take a step forward.
2: Caitlyn. Caitlyn... fuck Caitlyn. And no, I don't mean the good kind. I mean the bitch can burn in hell for the rest of eternity kind. Nosy bitch! That damn, nosy bitch! God, I hated her ever since she tried to act a hero, taking everything for granted and thinking that everything will just go her way. Like, every time I saw her, the "How to kill a fictional character" meme would show up in my head! Just sit your bitch ass down! These kinds of naive, stupid and nosy characters are the ones who I hate with my being! And my god, I wanted to kill her when she wanted to play the hero in episode 9! If not for that nosy whore, Silco would still be alive! But no, the bitch had to be like that. I honestly nearly cried when Silco was shot and said his last words to Jinx. And that's honestly amazing since that doesn't happen much.
3: Is Silco an absolute chad? Abso-fucking-lutely. The guy had a goal, and didn't let greed or anything of sort get in his way, only the safety of his daughter. He was willing to throw away all that he had worked for so many years, just so his daughter wouldn't be harmed. Absolute chad. Amazing. I honestly wanted to kill Caitlyn for his death.
4: Viktor. Give my man a hug. I feel so bad for him. Like, the man just wanted to help the world. He wanted to save lives, heal people and make life better. So did Jayce, which is why I loved the bromance between the two! They just wanted to save lives! But no, those greedy sons of bitches wouldn't have that. When it wasn't a thing, they all fucking ridiculed Jayce. But when it worked, they all got chummy with him. I honestly want everyone of those councilors, except Jayce and that girl, to fucking die. Including Caitlyn's mom, which is a must.
5: Jayce. As I said, I loved his character of wanting to help everyone. But when that girl came along and wanted to pull some shits, I was disappointed when he betrayed Viktor. He got some pussy and immediately gave up on his bro. But well, I guess there's still hope for him? That scene of him leaving the girl alone that morning to help his bro was satisfying as hell though.
6: Sky. That poor girl lol. I honestly feel awful about laughing about her death, but I was immediately like "I don't feel so good, Mr Viktor" when she got dusted hahahaha! Poor girl went poof! Hahahahaha! Ahh, god damn it...
7: Jinx. Somebody give the poor girl a hug. She needs one real bad. But I have some good news for you. No, I'm not planning to write a new book about Arcane: League of Legends.
Spoilers: BUT, there will be an arc with Arcane in this book! Don't ask how, I have it planned out, and I'm not gonna spoil it. But I can say, just Chaos, without Natasha, will wind up in Arcane by an accident. No, as I've said, this isn't a harem, and there won't be any extra lovers. BUT, Jinx will come with him for certain reasons, that I know you're gonna love»
