Chapter 51: CH 51: Overpowered Technological Abilities
"..." Hearing him, Natasha grew silent before raising an eyebrow :"So you freaked out because you saw... math?" And she could swear she saw something akin to a vein pop out on his smooth surface :"Bitch, I nearly had a heart attack, and you just joke around?!"
Natasha :"Geez, chill out. I was just trying to help you calm down."
Chaos, groaning :"Well, guess what? It ain't working."
Natasha :"Ok, ok. I'm sorry. There, happy? Fine, I'll get serious. So, what happened suddenly?"
Chaos :"Sigh, just as I told you. When I activated my powers in full blast, it's like the entire world suddenly turned into numbers and such. Everything. As in instead of colors, I saw numbers. Instead of that table or this bed, I saw numbers together and making a shape. It freaked the hell out of me."
"Whoa." As Natasha exclaimed softly, Chaos groaned again, regretting using abilities he barely knew at their full strength. And not just that, he had gone and amplified them to the maximum on top of it.
'I guess I underestimated Scorn's power, huh? Well, she was someone who could build entire machines suitable to take down specific targets. And she would do those things in mere minutes. It kinda makes sense that she sees the world like this, I guess. But I guess the reason why mine was at this rate was because of strengthening those abilities by 260 times. I guess I have myself to blame for being rash, huh?'
"Why don't you try again. But this time, just do it at their normal strength. Don't amplify them this time. Not even by a little bit." The redheaded host suggested, and he nodded after a hum and a deep breath. Activating the powers, but in their base power this time, he marveled at the world around him.
This time, being prepared for what's to come, he didn't freak out. Instead, he looked at the new view of the world in amazement. It wasn't like anything he had experienced. It was even weirder and more interesting than the first time he gained his sight in his Symbiote body. The time where he could see, smell, hear and sense everything around him without turning or anything thanks to his 360-Degree Senses.
This time, the sight his 360-Degree Senses granted wasn't normal images. Instead of just shapes and objects, he saw things that he understood. Sure, he could always see them and knew them. But now, he understood them. It felt like knowledge of their creation was automatically transferred into him. At a single glance, he could understand everything.
How to create them, how to improve them, how to destroy them. And not just the theoretical ways, but the complete accurate methods. Just looking at a simple table, knowledge of what method of carving, method of crafting, where the nails should be put in, at what degree they should be placed to best hold it, all of them appeared in his mind. Heck, even what was wood, nails, and method of the creation in the table came to his head. And it wasn't just that either.
Everything in his omnidirectional sight, all of the knowledge needed to create them, appeared in his mind. The bed, metal closet, fridge, walls, doors, lamp, the light illuminating the place itself, heck, even Natasha herself. Everything that he saw, their information of creation, methods available for creation, and methods to improve the creations, all of them became second nature for him.
It was scary, but at the same time, amazing, addictive, marvelous. He simply awed at his new point of view and powers for a little while before Natasha called out to him :"Hey, C? You alright?" Getting out of his dazed state, he quickly nodded, the excitement from before returning :"Yeah, I'm good! In fact, I feel awesome! This is seriously cool as hell!"
"Really? Phew, that's good then. You got me all worried when you panicked like that. But it's good now. So, gonna explain to me why you're so excited?" Smiling, he immediately shared what he had figured out about his powers. Listening to him, she couldn't help but be impressed.
Although her understanding only went as far as her imagination let her, she was still amazed at what he described. A world of not just seeing, but understanding everything completely just by looking at it. Although she was intrigued by it, she still didn't feel like trying it for herself. She didn't even know if she could. But for now, she didn't want to find out. She saw how freaked out Chaos was at first, so she wanted to play it safe and find out when Chaos himself had grown somewhat proficient in his new powers.
"But then why did you freak out like that?" After gathering everything he had said, she asked curiously. However, Chaos sighed, frowning :"That was completely different. I quickly shut it off, but it was like the entire knowledge of the world around me rushed into my head. And no, not like this, but hundreds of times more intense. It was just for a moment, but I felt like knowledge about atoms themselves was about to pop into my head! Heck, I even caught a glimpse of knowledge about souls themselves when I looked at you..."
Natasha :"Yikes... yeah, that would definitely be intense if it happened right out of nowhere."
Chaos :"Yeah, it definitely felt like a complete foreign area. Good thing I shut it off quickly. I don't think I'm ready for that kinda shit yet."
Natasha :"Yeah, you're right. Take it slow. Don't just jump into it. This isn't something we can solve with muscles or a brawl, so take it easy."
"Um, I will." Chaos nodded. But after a sharp shake of his head, he cleared his head and smirked :"Now, how about we stop sulking and start experimenting? I'm kinda excited now." Earning a chuckle :"Yeah, I can see that. Alright then, let's start."
As he got serious, the silver Symbiote flew towards the metal closet on the side. Making contact, he didn't waste a single moment before spreading around it and enveloping it. But this time, instead of storing it, he focused on doing something else. Anything else.
And it didn't take even a moment to do it. Everything felt instinctual when it clicked together. His biomass started to shrink rapidly as he began to absorb and devour what he had engulfed. After only a few seconds, he returned to his original size, and the metal closet was nowhere to be seen.
"So?" His beautiful host asked after a moment. As he returned to her side, a tendril came out of him before turning into a claw. Afterwards, the silver claw's surface changed from silky smooth into literal metal, shocking Natasha slightly despite already expecting it.
Chaos :"You're right, it does work."
Natasha :"Yeah, I can see that. Guess you can now absorb objects and turn into them, huh?"
Chaos :"Well, not exactly, I guess. Sure, I absorb them instead of storing them. But most and actual part of turning into them comes from understanding them through absorbing them."
Natasha :"Which means?"
Chaos :"Basically, when I absorb them, I gain all the knowledge about their structure and such. Then, through that knowledge and the materials that I absorbed, I can create the same thing with my own biomass. So I learn how the metal is created, then change my own biomass into metal. Not really confusing, if you think about it."
Natasha :"Damn, that's pretty awesome, isn't it?"
Chaos, smirking :"What do you think?" 'Well, considering the amount of fucked up and broken materials in Marvel, this is honestly just broken as hell. I can basically create an infinite amount of Vibranium or anything else as long as I've absorbed even just a bit of it! This is hella overpowered! Is it rare as fuck? Not to me! Hmm... wonder if this works for things like Infinity Stones or such as well? Because if it does... good Crow...'
Natasha :"Mhm, it is. But isn't it also a bit of an inconvenience? Like, aren't you supposed to do all kinds of equations and all for making materials? You're supposed to make them from scratch, no? This ability will be completely useless without your technology-based powers."
Chaos :"yes, and no. Sure, it can be inconvenient, but it also makes sense. Also, although it isn't the best case scenario, it's still better than what could've happened. If it wasn't like this, it would be like temporarily having the equipment to make the materials. For example, if I had absorbed 20 kg of iron, then I could've only created 20 kg. If I was somehow harmed or lost 5 kg, the next time, I would only be able to create 15 kg. Also, this in itself is seriously broken.
Think about it. I can basically create an infinite amount of whatever I've absorbed just once. Forget about strengthening this body, we could easily become rich by absorbing a diamond and selling however much we want! Oh, by the way, it isn't as tough as you think. Sure, it sounds hella hard by just listening to the equation part, but I honestly did it subconsciously. Basically, it feels like the equations and formulas were saved in my brain, so I just loaded that save and changed my body."
Natasha :"Oh! Then that's good. I thought you'd have to do everything from scratch, which would be really hard and probably useless in a fight, since we'd need focus. But if that's the case, then all is good! But is it just metal and things resembling metal, like iron, or can other things also be absorbed? Like, check it with that table. See if you can absorb wood as well or not."
"Sure thing." He nodded before he got to it. After a few moments of devouring it, the wooden table completely disappeared and Chaos disappeared with a smile :"It works! Also, it was faster this time. This ability needs proficiency to work faster. So at some point, I can absorb anything instantly." To show the results, he turned the claw into wood.
Natasha, smiling :"Good. Glad to hear that. This ability really is something else, huh? Not only will it be incredibly useful in battle, it is also extremely useful in real life. Just like you said, we could create and sell any jewelry or such."
Chaos :"Hehehehe, wait till you hear about this. To tell you the truth, upon absorbing absorb, I developed three new abilities of my own related to technology. Matter Absorption and Matter Creation you just saw. The third is equally overpowered. It's Matter Fusion! Basically, I can fuse matter and material to create an even stronger material which can also have the special features of the fused materials that I've chosen!"
Natasha, shocked :"Wait, seriously?! Then does that mean you can create an item with the fused toughness of, say, metal and iron?! Maybe even diamond, titanium, and things like these?!"
Chaos, smug :"Hell yeah, girl! I told you mine would be even stronger than Scorn's!"
Natasha :"Phew, yeah, you really are awesome, huh? This is seriously amazing."
Chaos :"Hehehe, feel free to praise me more, human."
"Yeah, yeah, you're awesome." Chuckling at his antics as she patted his head, smiling at his happy face. Chaos on the other hand, was extra excited because of the things he knew he could do :'Boy, this is just absurd! What the hell kind of monstrosity will be created if I fused Vibranium and Adamantium?! Oooh, what would happen if I fused Vibranium, Adamantium and Uru? Hahaha good God (Crow), this is just bullshit hahaha!'
Chaos :"Hey, you think Steve will let me take a bite out of his shield?"
Natasha :"Not for the life of him. That guy loves his shield. He sleeps with it sometimes. You really think he'd let you eat it? He will probably have a mental breakdown just by mentioning him."
Chaos :"Shit, you're right... What about Thor's hammer? Nah, I don't think so..."
Natasha :"Yeah, hell no to that too. He is probably more attached to it than Steve is to his shield. Hasn't Thor had his hammer for over 1,000 years?"
Chaos :"Yeah, I guess. Well, guess we'll have to find some materials ourselves." 'I'd love to take that Vibranium that Ultron took from that guy. But well, I'll have to lay off of it for now. Although the birth of Ultron will have some annoyance, it will still have some good uses. So, I'll just wait for some time.'
