A server served the tea in cups. Madam Hua took the cup gracefully and thanked the servant. Maya also took the cup and tried to take a sip when her tongue stung with the hotness of the tea.
She groaned in pain and kept the cup on the table and took a handful of ice in her hand and gulp it down at once. As her tongue stopped stinging, she finally let out a sigh of relief.
Madam Hua glared at Maya and scolded her, " Maya behave properly. I don't want to be thrown out of the palace on our first day."
Maya bowed to Madam Hua and apologized but her wittiness couldn't stop her from saying, " I am sorry for my behavior Madam Hua but honestly, I have a question -- why do you always drink tea?"
Madam Hua took the question seriously and started thinking of the reason when Maya answered her question, " Let me guess! Because you are a Hotea!!"
With this, she started laughing out loud and Madam Hua got flustered listening to her question and smacked her head. Maya groaned in pain but she and Madam Hua suddenly got frozen in their position when they heard the sound of giggling.
Maya and Madam Hua shared a look and Maya slowly stood in her position and tiptoed toward a big pillar from where the sound of giggling was coming.
Slowly Maya walked behind that pillar she saw a girl around her age but her facial features were of a teenage girl.
While Maya was stunned to look at the beauty of that girl, on the other hand, when that girl saw Maya staring at her from the pillar, got scared and moved back she lost her balance and fell on her back.
A small scream escaped from her lips which also made Madam Hua stand up from her position and walked towards the pillar hurriedly.
But as she saw the girl and the pendant she was wearing made she realized who was she. She slapped Maya on her back and ordered, " Oh Maya, don't stand like an ideal and help the princess."
Maya's eyes widened with shock and she again looked at that girl and then her pendant of the same crystal which was depicted in the ancient scriptures but the thing which made her curious was that in the scriptures, it was depicted as a whole crystal but the crystal that girl was wearing was in-half.
Still, snapping out of her trance, she quickly forwarded her hand towards the princess. When the princess saw that they were not going to harm her but instead were helping her, she concluded in her mind, " Seems like they are good people."
So, she also forwarded her hand and caught Maya's hand. Maya pulled her and as she stood up, Madam Hua deeply bowed in front of her and greeted, " Hello, your majesty. It's my honor to meet you. My name is Hua and she is Maya, my student."
Listening to Madam Hua she was lost in her thoughts. Madam Hua's face started turning white thinking she might not have offended the princess while Maya kept staring at the princess trying to understand what she was thinking when she excitedly jumped making Madam Hua and Maya gasp in shock.
" Maya is your student then you are a teacher. Am I right?"
"...."
"...."
She finally put her thoughts into words which made both Madam Hua and Maya speechless. Today they also got to know another reason why Lady Tian did not want anyone to meet the princess.
Although she was growing normally like anybody else her mind was growing slower than others.
It was normal, and that is why Lady Tian wanted to protect her and isn't letting anyone talk to her except some of her trusted ones. As she knew that if this truth about the princess came out then many people will question her ability to rule the galaxy and her enemies will happily grab this opportunity to take over the throne.
Madam Hua and Maya shared a look but then both smiled and Madam Hua replied while nodding her head, " Yes, your majesty. You are so intelligent."
The princess flipped her hair and replied with confidence, " Of course, I will be becoming the future Queen of this Galaxy. I should be and am special than anyone--"
But before she could more self-praise her, Maya who was looking at her with a weird expression, unexpectedly asked, " Who told you all these lies? Let me tell you, whoever said this to you is a big liar."
Madam Hua's blood turned cold and her body froze at her position while the princess glared at her and then asked with squinting eyes," So, do you mean I ain't special?"
Madam Hua started apologizing to God in her mind for all the sins that she did when Maya replied casually, " Of course, your majesty. Not only you are special but you are also the most intelligent person whose beauty will be renowned in the whole future."
As her buttery words reached Madam Hua's ears, she sighed in relief and thanked the Almighty, whereas, the princess was satisfied with Maya's answer and she complimented her back, " Maya, you really have a good sense of knowing people."
Maya bowed to the princess when the princess recalled something and quickly informed, " Oh no! I forgot to tell you, Madam Hua. Aunt Tian is asking you in her garden. Please hurry or else Aunt Tian will scold you for not informing you about it."
Madam Hua abruptly replied, " Oh..is it? oh-ohkay, I will leave for the garden immediately."
With this, she again bowed to the princess and moved out of the chamber before giving Maya a look for not messing with the princess. Maya without any problem understood her signals and batted her eyes replying that she will not do something stupid in her absence.
Although Madam Hua wasn't sure about Maya being alone with the princess still she couldn't do anything but proceed toward the garden.
Leaving Maya and the princess behind, the whole environment got silent. Maya thought that this might be a chance to impress the princess and get a better rank in the royal palace.
But for that, they both had to have a conversation, so, she decided to break the ice and asked, " Your majesty, we always call you and have known you as the princess of this Galaxy but you would be having a sweet name, right?"
The princess also didn't mind the question and answered with the same excitement and pride, " Of course, before my birth, my mother already chose a name for me."
" So, may I have the opportunity to get to know your name, your Majesty," Maya replied with her buttery words.
And as Maya expected, the princess slipped off and replied, " Of course, my name is Maitri."
