Chapter 15: Tulips
As they got out of Hokage's office, there was another test waiting to be taken by Boruto. Mitsuki was calm and said "So you lied about that child. I didn't realize it"
Bor: "Sorry about that Mitsuki. It felt like it might be delayed if it was an assumption and Konohamaru sensei might not approve of the mission on an assumption."
Mit: "It's fine I do not mind since it's you"
Sarada said "Good for you that your friend is fine after being lied to. You got a great friend" looking at Mitsuki. Mitsuki availed the right to remain silent and Konohamaru came before Boruto said something.
Konohamaru came down and said "You guys can disperse for today. We'll meet up tomorrow at our usual meeting spot for training." and went away.
Mitsuki said "I'll take leave for today then. See you later" and left. Only Boruto and Sarada remained.
Sarada was about to leave. Boruto said "I'm sorry Sarada for lying in the mission." with a apologetic face.
Sarada turned to look at him and said "Yeah sorry makes everything alright. I've been visiting you for the past 3 weeks almost everyday yet you never once told me. You're only telling cause you were exposed right!"
Boruto didn't really have a response for that so he used his right to remain silent which he didn't have and Sarada got even angrier.
Sarada was super angry not just at the fact that he lied to her but about the fact that he didn't bother to apologize and say the truth till he was exposed despite her visiting and taking care of him everyday for the past three weeks. I'd say it was justifiable anger.
But Boruto didn't think so, he couldn't really say anything about Yumei being sealed in him and could only make up a lie on the spot as he was asked. It just so happened to be a lie to cover up the Truth of Yumei. From his point he didn't know why Sarada is so angry, he conveniently forgot that he made up the lie but they believed that lie for 3 weeks. Regardless of the reasons he was determined to make up with Sarada.
Sarada said out of anger "You've become soo smart and you don't trust us anymore right? Fine, have it your way" and walked away visibly fuming. She was more angry than sad at the moment and didn't really feel like listening to excuses.
Boruto didn't chase her down to apologize without any explanation, he was sure it wouldn't work especially when he can see steam coming from her head out of anger. So, he was thinking about how to make up with her and went around Konoha instead of going straight home.
On the way he saw Inojin walking leisurely. He waved his hand and said "Hi, Boruto why do you look a bit dull?"
Boruto said "Well..." and thought for a second. Isn't it fine to take advice from someone on things I don't understand and Inojin seemed to be a good person. He continued and said he lied to his team about something in the mission and now that he's exposed Sarada is angry and went away fuming.
Inojin said after thinking for a second "So you lied to your team and Sarada is angry. You mean the rest are fine! That Mitsuki will never get angry on you and Konohamaru is a sensei so he'll probably just let you go and think of how to fix it."
Bor: "I'm not sure how I should apologize to Sarada. But I really wanna get over this fast but she's fuming with anger."
Inoj: "You lied to her for 3 weeks of course she'll be fuming, I'm more surprised that she didn't punch you immediately."
Bor: "I didn't lie to her for 3 weeks, it was just on the mission."
Inoj: "It was just on the mission but you never told the truth despite meeting them almost daily. I ever heard she was making food for you. It counts as 3 weeks Idiot."
Boruto realized that Inojin was speaking the truth and thought about the 3 weeks she got him food with sincerity and he became even more motivated to make up with her and be friends again.
Inojin continued and said "Girls usually like flowers why don't you apologize with flowers instead of with empty hands. I'm going towards our shop anyway why don't you come now and get some good flowers" with a business smile. Although he realized Inojin was acting like a sales person he thought it was still a better Idea so he didn't reject and went with Inojin.
As they entered the shop they saw Ino watering the Roses. Ino was mesmerizing, especially from the front door. Blooming Roses were being sprinkled water and on top of them was a gorgeous Ino caring for the flowers. It looked like a intro scene for a female MC in a real life movie. Boruto was stunned as he looked at her beauty amplified by the surroundings.
He was brought back to real life by Inojin to his side calling "Mom, I'm back".
Ino: "Took you long enough. Oh, Hi Boruto how are you?"
Bor: "Hello Ino-san. I'm good, How are you doing?"
Ino: "Just the usual. So, what brought you here? Are you here for some flowers?"
Bor: "Yeah I was looking for some Flowers-" he couldn't continue because Inojin interrupted him and said "He lied to his team for 3 weeks and made Sarada angry so he came to get some flowers to apologize". Boruto was a bit angry but he didn't show it on his face and just stayed quiet.
Ino understood the situation and said with a dignified look "That seems bad. In that case you should take these white Tulips, they are a symbol of peace and friendship. Add them to your sincere apology and you should be fine." and gave him 5 white Tulips.
Boruto said with a kind of pitiful look "Thank you Ino-san".
Ino: "It's good I think you got your own situation but you shouldn't be lying to your teammates regardless of the situation. Trust is what makes a team and if Trust is missing you'll end up with nothing."
Boruto nodded and was about to pay but Ino said "It's alright you don't need to pay. I'll deduct it from Inojin's pocket money".
Inojin was stunned now and said "Mom, Why?". She replied by hitting his head and said "For not knowing when to shut up". As she said this she looked towards Boruto and waved her hand smiling. She looked like an angel at the moment, way more than Yumei.
Boruto was kinda calmed down as Inojin was paying for the flowers despite bringing him here to make a sale. he was pissed at Inojin for interrupting and exposing him to Ino but Ino has calmed him by punishing Inojin. The Tulips were by no means cheap, they were fairly expensive compared to other flowers. He got out of the shop with a smile and a few Tulips.

harem_love As I went through last chapter I found that there are a lot of grammar mistakes. I won't be correcting them ever. I barely make time to write this, I don't have time to revise, revisit and rewrite chapters for grammar. This happens because I'll be thinking while writing and my brain works way faster than my hand/keyboard. But, I'll keep going although less often. My brain got atleast next 50 chs planned but I got no time to write :(
